Anything fast with lots of boost :)
  1. I'm interested to hear what you based your opinion on for this statement....
  2. You sound like you're on the money, although 99% of OEM intercoolers (cars and trucks) and radiators ARE tube and fin, not bar and plate. Bar and plate was specifically designed for custom sizes.
  3. Absolutely nothing wrong with those air temps at the end of a run for a 32 degree day and 5 degrees above ambient on the highway is fine. If you're thrashing your car hit for hit on the street in that sort of weather though, you have to expect higher temps....and hope your tune is one the money if you aren't on ethanol.
  4. Regardless, a GT55 powered car is not getting thrashed on the street, chances are that it doesn't come on boost without gas. That's why it doesn't have an intercooler. Cool car though.
  5. Not a good comparison at all. GMKILA is a methanol car running 5000cc injectors. If you think that an XR6 doesn't need an intercooler, then pull yours off and pull the engine out, because by the time you finish reading this sentence after the first boot, the pistons will be in the sump. Not taking anything away from Simon, but there are many other accomplished tuners and companies in this country who have achieved big things on a global scale, not just nationally.
  6. Here are some sneaky shots taken from the Plazmaman.com facebook page, the crew were upgrading the Coon Dog for Jamboree What a monster!
  7. I'd imagine the fuel economy to be horrid but who cares!
  8. That final part of your statement is so true!
  9. No wonder Melbourne has so many street driven beasts!
  10. I found the 1/4 mile timer a bit annoying that it just won't reset as soon as the car is stationary, rather it plots 16 points so if you try half way through a run it messes it up. Other than that it is great, I love logging a long drive through the countryside And call me bad but I was desperately trying to time the Boeing 767's accerleration once but unfortunately it wouldn't connect to any sattelites.
  11. Yes they can, it's always good to keep them updated on your driving history, particularly with the bigger 'non-enthusiast' companies.
  12. Yes I too have seen one run this all day, it also had a Dreamscience flash and oh my goodness, it hammers. I certainly didn't expect it to be so quick!
  13. It was also rumoured that Expensive Daewoo were releasing a car to run on E85 next year, hopefully this is true because it will have to be widely available in order for them to do that! If not, United Rozelle will be making a fortune off me
