    327 Rwkw Woot!

JC I know the roads you mention only too well . Lived in Mandurah up untill about 9 years ago and have family in Muchae . Anyway My BF 6 speed manual is also heavy on juice and has 324.7 at the back wheels . Drove from Adelaide to Melbourne for the FPV open day in March with an XR8 (FG) . XR6 (N/A) , F6 (BF) (mid 300 rwkw) and a Devil R . No matter what we were doing mine was always well above all the rest other than the N/A XR6 as he had the club trailer on . I can get high 9 to 10 on the open road and 14 to 15 in the city . Yours at 20 sounds a bit high but that can depend on how heavy your foot is . A good tuner can lean the car out for you but dont go too far as you can harm the motor . This is the price you pay to feed the need for more power (its great fun) . I have the Pole possition tripod and have no issues with it . With your engine management light on I would guess that the 2nd O2 sensor has not been switched off . You are correct a good engine tuner will switch this off , should be done once you start playing with bigger boost as I understand it . Otherwise the light just keeps on comming on . Get a mechanic with a camera to look at your cat , with the higher power the factory ones melt on the rear side generally . You may find this is the issue with your ecconomy . When mine was being retuned the last time we got 327 at the rear then couldnt get over 190 . On opening the cat up we had melted it to a solid mass . Exhaust now fixed and boost fine tuned to give a great strong even curve that makes tyres wear extreemly fast (not ripping skids I might add)
  3. MAkes it easier to get under the cars to work on them .
  4. Just a gigolo
  5. Count me in at this stage . The other club also has a run on that day but not sure of times .
  6. Youll have to do something about her shedding liquid kilos all over the pavement first . Then KG rate would be very negotiable . I found some HOOTERS - someone got more than thier fair share .
  7. Turbo jet dont take her near the sea this week I am sure the Japaneze whaling fleet are in our waters .
  8. Good to see its getting sorted , ins work does take for eva to get right . I've tried calling you a few times to see how all went but you dont answer your mobile . Catch up with ya some time .
  9. you may also have your ass handed to you when the cops defect you making your rotors useless!! not to mention, that's the WORST combination of wheels/colour ive seen to date. ________________________________________________________________________________ ____________________________________ I suppose yours are pink . Get ya hand off it . H.G.F.S.
  10. I did get some special "mates rates" but I bought RDA plain (premium) rotors for $70 a corner and each rotor cost $30 to be machined . If you do some homework locally you may find someone will have similar prices .
  11. My guess is you have plain rotors with the standard brakes . The high speed shuddering comes from the gasses escaping from the brake pads and being trapped between the pad and rotor . Have your rotors slotted or buy new slotted ones and you should find the issue goes away . Mine did . See pick on painted calipers thread , I had XR milled into rotors (has the same effect as slotting) .
  12. \ Had them done on a CNC machine , has the same effect as slotting . Just something to make mine a bit different at show n shines . Definitly gets some attention .
  13. Yeah , the skreetch has goten worse with age . If I do not concentrate at take off or sit at the lights with my foot on the clutch the shudder is there . I must say though I do not think it is as bad as when it first went in , that maybe due to getting used to it . I wouldnt get another one when this one shags itself .
  14. I did mine Gold in a heat proof brush on that when initially gets hot it all toughens up , smooths out and any brush marks disapear . I have gone back to paint supplier and it is no longer available - got some nasty sh*t in it apparently .

Matt Stirling - Growley Custom Machining in Gillies Plains . I will give Ya one of his buisness cards on at the Mannum run if your going . Youll just have to remind me - you know - old timers disease .
  16. I too have a rattly TEX twin plate that has that SCREETCH . Not that I know mutch about clutches but I am told that the noise is just the plates initial slip as it get sworn . I am waiting on a blue light to stop me thinking I am letting the tryes go . All that said the power to ground is great , have had it in for 12k .

    BRAKE SHUDDER ISSUE

Hi all my 2006 BF XR6T has Ford Premium brakes (PBR) and always had a high speed shudder . I fixed the issue my self in an afternoon by replacing the rotors with slotted ones . The shuddder was comming from the gasses from the hot pads being trapped against the smooth face ofthe rotor , slots alow this gas to get away .

    327 Rwkw Woot!

JC , this motor has always performed well and yes the tuner does make a big difference (I use the one we refer to as "The Mesiah") . My actuator is pushing to hold 12 now but was up to 15 or 16 as I understand . Origionally this car was a Ford Executive and as it came through the assembly line maybe there were some "additional items installed" . There have been some questions raised by my local Ford dealer when they have been doing services etc . Who knows , all I know is that I am happy with results and an aftermarket actuator will see a stronger result and it all looks stock when you open the bonnet . I see you are in Perth , that is my old home town . Used to live in Mandurah . Cheers ,

    327 Rwkw Woot!

I had my BF XR6T tuned early this week and also got 327 , but actuator started passing so Ive had to settle for 322 (is bloody good) I only have cold air intake , hi flow filter , 400 cc injectors , no rear muffler , an F6 inter cooler and a custom tune . All origional crossover , plenum and piping are still on board .
  21. Not sure what has transpired to date on this thread but there is a company called body mould that do a resin covered badge insert that can be customised that are second to none . Slot straight on over your existing badge and look fantastic . Best place to find him is on Ebay under FPV and he shows a sheet of 5 varying size badges . I had Ford badges made as gold and black to match my BF XR6T colour coding :ifiusethisimafag: .
