yep ZF is 6 speed auto not sure on the second question I think they were a $ option in mk1's and standard in mk2's im very likely wrong there though

when do the engines give up? how longs a piece of string ? depends on how it was driven, any previous mods etc etc any bits in particular wear out? Turbo would definately benefit from a freshen up and depending on driving style etc the g/box too would performance be decreasing that much with that many ks again hard to say Best advice would be keep saving and get a BF with ZF others may have better ideas

Mate Ive been running a little over 300rwkw for a while now I am onto my second 4 speed auto but the first one didnt actually have that much damage just a burnt out clutch pack and I was giving it a bit of a hiding at the time My best advice would be WAIT and save a bit more coin and pick up a post 06/06 BF with ZF I would have definately done this had I researched/found this forum prior to buying my ute in saying all that though a strengthened 4 speed wil see you comfortably around the 300 kw mark as long as your decent to it

Yeh ive seen this one in the carpark before a couple of times there are a few nice turbs/f6's there from time to time
