  1. Well both remotes did shag out on me a few weeks ago but car still started and ran fine with just a normal manual unlock of the door. Have been meaning to get the car down to ford to diagnose the problem but as such car still doesnt move. Rang CAPA and had them send an unlock code to my local tuner (powertorque in brendale) and they duly stuck it into my flasher which then was connected to the falc and........ nothing. I have now sent the flasher back to CAPA and they are going to test it and let me know if there's any other issues going on. If that fails I guess a tow truck to drag the thing to ford could be in order unless someone can recommend an auto elec who would have the gear required to get around the ecu/anti theft stuff in built? I dont like the idea of possibly having another tune stuck on the ecu and then ford wiping any possible warrnty claim when they find it. Not that I think I would get warranty for anything now but more hassle I dont want. Argh, I want my car back :( A 2 tonne paperweight does not make me happy
  2. I've recently bought an 03 xr6t manual that came with a CAPA flasher. Was running on the stock tune but seemed to be a little thirsty so I decided to give it run throught the other tunes (fuel economy, 8psi and 10psi) to see how it compared. Followed the instructions and now the car refuses to kick over at all even after reverting back to the factory tune. HELP! What has happened and what can I do? I've disconnected the battery left it sit and reconnected in an effort to reset the computer but to no avail. The dash still lights up but the brake warning system light comes on when I try to turn it over along with a few of the relays clicking in the fuse panel but otherwise nothing. Rang the tuner who originally tuned the car and he said its possible I've damaged one of the microprocessors in the ecu requiring me to buy a new one. Surely its not as bad as all that? I had planned to take it down to get a proper tune done to make sure it all hunkydory on the 10psi map but now I cant even move the car. Anyone had these issues before? I am in dire straights as I need the car on the road asap!
