    America'S Cup

Is anyone else interested in the America's Cup? 2 massive super expensive boats. A solid wing sail 55 meters tall and bigger than the wing on a 747.
  2. I get the same clunk. Mine does not have to be at full lock to make the noise. It feels like it comes through the steering colomn.

    Traction Control

This is exactly what I want http://www.racelogic.co.uk/?show=Traction_Control-Products_and_Pricing-Digital_Adjuster "Slip levels are adjustable in 1% increments from 0% up to 25%, and launch control comes as standard. Cut level thresholds, rev limits, wheel sizes and RPM operating levels can all be altered in real-time." Chiptorque is a distributor but it is listed at 595 british pounds. so mybe a bit much
  4. Is the traction control adjustable via a tune or by any other means? I have a BA 4 speed. I like traction control but would like it to allow a bit more wheel spin.
  5. Worlds most expensive billy kart. And even lighter without the gear box A cool Ford 18 times as expensive
  6. Shouldnt they just put a list toether like the LAMS motorcycle list. Surely It couldnt be that hard. Just buy the list of cars off Carsales or where ever they got it from (or the transport should be able to provide a list)and then get some people to go through it one by one. Surely wouldnt be that hard.
  7. The sensor doesnt have to take a hit for the air bag to deploy. It just needs to detect the deceleration of a crash. The front hit doesnt look big enough for the air bag to deploy. And given that you were able to walk away I would say it calculated correctly. It is a big rear hit though. Glad your OK.
  8. All the car can do is full engine braking, which in 6th gear wouldnt be very much at those speeds.
  9. Everyone in the car would have known the guy was wasted. They were all extemely dumb and made a fatal mistake. I have never knowingly been over the BAL and driven. I cant guarantee that I have never been over the limit but 0.19 is massivly over the limit and everyone in the car would have been able to tell.
  10. One the weekend I took a hole saw to the centre console air con piping and the arm rest box and now have a fridge in my car. Cools a 600ml bottle of water down in about 20 minutes. It gets down to about 10 degrees. Its very usefull for me as I do a lot of driving for work.
  11. Just saw this on the news. Police estimate the car was going 160kmh. And with 6 people in the car.
  12. Is the premium worth anything when looking at a 2nd hand car? Obviously the colour sceen would be good but I would want to upgrade the sub and speakers at the least. Does anyone have the steering wheel controls working with an after market head unit?
  13. How can one tell if a car has been a police car? Are there any signs to tell easily?
  14. Ford will persuade the govenment to make it P plate legal.

    Fast Food - Wtf?

I was thinking the same thing. A mate I go through their biggest meal deal on our own. Except the cold slaw which is crap. This is generally after riding all day so its only half killing us. KFC is expensive but oh so tasty
  17. Is that with staff discount or just hard barganing? Seems like a great price.

    Show Us Your Pets

These are my partners two cats. The rule when she got them was that she had to do all the work for them and pay for all their cost herself not out of our joint account. So I have two cats to play with and dont have to do any of the messy stuff. their names are Storm and Jean Grey (generally shortened to Jean after we found out she was a he)

    Effects Of Emfs

This isnt a credible scientific document. Studies sponsored by telcos as long as they are peer reviewed would be more credible.

    Dune Buggy

The buggies look cool but you would need somewhere good to use them. Its hard to find places to drive my 1/8th scale buggy.
  21. I thought the APS Stage 3 kit was completely legal (and EPA compliant) and was good for 11 second passes. I think its a bit mean bagging out the magazine. Its not their fault they suck. All media is sucking more and more all the time.

    Xr6T Xf Falcon

I hope the brakes are getting an upgrade too. Looks awsome.

    Cameras

I have a canon 20d. Am very happy with it. Would recomend canon but I havent used others so its an unfair recommendation.
  24. The 1g that is quoted in car test is around a 200 foot diameter circle. Car speed is quite low. The 1.7G maximum would have been at high speed with downforce. I think the updated version looks alot better than the original.
