China spent almost 50 billion US dollars in 2010 on renewable energy and have been increasing this rapidly. This may not be totally to reduce co2 but to me this say China is smart enough to invest in green technology which will drive its economy into the low carbon future. And yes, most of the voting public dont understand the political system. Local and state issues and constantly draged into federal elections and vice versa. I have a reasonable understanding of the political system and chose to vote for the Greens. It sounds like there are a few people who are climate change sceptics.

I am for reducing carbon emissions and believe economic measures such as carbon taxes and ETS are the way to go. I think the tax probably hasn't gone far enough and could have spent more of the money raised in promoting renewable energy rather than giving it back to people. Has anybody measured the intake restriction on the stock vs V8 intake?

I have an FG sedan with an auto which while it has always axle a little bit, last night it was doing it very badly. Nothing had changed, the only thing I can think of that the cooler air is giving a bit more power. Car only has 20,000 kms on it. There is a bit of driveline shunt when geting sharply off the power. I assume it may be a diff bush. My rear tyres are getting a bit thin too. My axle tramp starts about half way through first gear and after a brief period of smooth wheel spin. Any help to stop this would be good. I might try Ford for the diff bush at next service. More info on these bushes would be good.

It makes a big difference as to what speakers you are listening through. Through my laptop speakers my result was terrible through headphones it was much better, could hear up to the 2nd last one. Ipods etc. are going to be causing a lot of younger people hearing damage. It is amazing the level some people play them at.

This is sweet. In my old BA I just drilled a few holes that let the aircon that runs throught to the back seat passengers into the centre console. Worked pretty well, would cool 500ml down to a good plesant temp in 20 minutes. What is the capacity of the peltiers you are using?

I have the cold start rough idle problem. I only have done 15,000kms. Ford checked the fluid level which was fine. They did say there is a new tune available soon, which should be ready now. The dealer had the paperwork for the update which said it was for "idle instability" and was specifically for the turbo sedan, he just didnt have the tune yet. Hopefully will get it done soon.

Picked my car up yesterday. They had the gearbox guy looking at the car and he could not find a problem. When I described the problem directly to him he thought it sounded more like the engine management. The foreman came over and said he had just received a service notice that a new tune from Ford would be available soon to cure "idle instability". So hopefully this will cure my problem and yours too SecaBoy. Interestingly enough I have only experienced this problem using the main key I use. When I was using the 2nd back up key it didnt do it once. Switched back to the main key and had the problem. Maybe worth a shot SecaBoy.

I have a stock 2010 FG Turbo with about 17,000kms on the clock. On about 30% of morning start ups when I selct reverse or drive the car will idle extremly roughly. the revs on the dash seem to stay steady and doesnt drop any lower than normal. If the car is let to sit in gear it the roughness continue for some time. If I acelerate away it hesitates a little but then is fine. It idles smoothly untill I selct a gear. Ford dealer couldn't find the problem after having it over night. Does any body have any ideas?

Quick search reveals an error of less than 2%. Not too bad. 0.1 second error for a 0-100 time of 5 seconds. Heaps better than what could be hand timed.

Provides a way to estimate (with a rather high acuracy) power at your engine provided you know your 1/4 mile speed and your weight. Would be intersted to see if people on here come up with results that match. I assume the phone dynos use a similar modeling technique to work out power at the wheels.

Which one did you download? The free Dynolicous from Bosch that I downloaded was very simple to calibrate.
