  1. Did mine today. Just drove the rear wheels on to some bricks and it gave just enough room to get it done. 10mm Allen key (for FG) filler bolt was bloody tight.
  2. Video of this is now up on their Facebook page and on you tube https://www.facebook.com/s1sequential https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gO-ScsLXPoE
  3. I am looking at fitting the same to my car. Possibly with sway bar/s. I would be interested to hear from anyone else with set up on how they find it as a daily driver.
  4. Media conference at 9:15. Possibly 2500 job losses. Terrible news.
  5. The ABC news just reported briefly that the AMWU has said that Ford is stopping production. It was only a brief report but it sounded like that production was going to stop rather suddenly. Hopefully not the case.
  6. The battery is from Motorcraft and is 620CCA Thanks for confirming what I thought Paulie.
  7. My car has experienced this problem again today. Exactly the same as before. The only additional information I can provide is that the blue gauge lights in the dash were stuck on when the car was locked. The security light was also not flashing when locked. The car has now "fixed" itself and starts fine. The gauge lights were off and the security light was flashing when I went to start it. It was over 12 hours from when it wouldn't start this morning. I had tried it about 8 hours after it wouldn't start and it was still not working then. My feeling is that the car immobilises itself and then takes 12 hours for it to reset the lock down on the immobiliser. Can anyone confirm if there is a lock down time for the immobilisers and if so is there anyway to over ride it? I really need help with this. The car is about to run out of warranty.
  8. Cruze did you get your car fixed and what was the problem in the end?
  9. The father in-laws G6 had similar sounding problems and a new battery fixed it. Not sure if it was exactly the same symptoms though.
  10. By the time the dealers had a look at it the car started fine. I am fairly sure that it must be a problem with the key or immobiliser.
  11. The bugger of a car won't start again. Same problem as before. Back at the dealer.
  12. The RACQ couldn't get it started. Tried jump starting it and they checked all the fuses and checked for error codes in the computer. No problems detected. Had it towed to Ford and they said it was a dead battery. I don't think it is that simple though. I have had a flat battery before and it jumped started fine. I think the imobiliser was triggered somehow. There were no dash lights showing up with the ignition on. Car is back and working fine with a new battery.
  13. The same problem has struck again. Pulled and refitted all the fuses and no luck this time. Going to have to call roadside service.
  14. Does any body have any info on the Ford Falcon Taxi running at Bonneville? http://www.popularme...m_news#slide-11
  15. I am considering an aftermaket intake for my FG Falcon and was wondering if anyone had any pressure measurements for the stock intake or any aftermarket units. Ideally on a stock or close to stock car but beggars can't be choosers.

The car would feel a lot slower with a good set of grippy tyres.

I had a look at one today at the dealer. Good looking car in the flesh apart from the badge on the front guard and the crap wheels. I also had a look at they tyres and they are Yokohama Advan dB. A low rolling resistant tyre that according to yokohama is "for the owners of luxury vehicles who are used to the finer things in life" Odd choice for a sports car.
  19. My physio told me that if you are wearing a brace or sling while driving and have an accident insurance wont cover you. Something to consider.
  20. Good reminder to get income protection, life and health insurance.

A review of the BRZ where the person doesn't cream in his pants about how good the handling is. the first one I have seen like it. Plus it gets smashed in the lap time by a hot hatch.

I saw on Autoblog there is some talk of a faster Hyundai Veloster turbo which would be nice. I don't have a preference to RWD. The Veloster looks better I think. http://www.autoblog.com/2012/07/31/hyundai-veloster-turbo-r-spec-in-the-cards/ I look at the specs of the 86 and can't help but think they haven't come very far since the Celica released in 1999. 140kw 1.8 litre, 1100kg.
  24. My car has just started doing this again. The father in laws G6T had a similar sounding problem and Ford said it was low voltage. Having the AC also made his worse. I think I will try a new battery. And to answer your question Secaboy my car only shakes in gear.
  25. I think Century Yuasa make the batteries that come in the Falcons. Century are one of my customers at work and that is what they told me anyway.
