Haha quite the funny f*cker... haha good stuff.. But the question remains if I just do the fuel pump can I have the AFR out? If I left the Inectors until I get to the tuners would I have any problems?
Would it be a better idea to leave installing the injectors until I get there then get him to do? Or would I still have problems with the larger fuel pump?
Hi Guys. Well tis weekend is when I replace the dead turbo with the new one. At the same time im putting in the new 60lb injectors the GSS342 fuel pump the HDi Intercooler and the ETM Oil line.. All done by my best mates and me. Theyre all diesel mechanics haha. Question is... I have a 60 pound tune done for my car... will it run fine on that or should I take straight to tuners after?
In all honesty I like the ideas of undercovers and it has settled me down a bit.. I got pulled up a while back doing something stupid I explained the situation in truth and was let of light. You dont be a wanker they wont be a wanker. Remember this they have to put up with seeing people die because of drift queens and drag racing on a regular basis. Only thing that bothers me at the moment is the fact of knob shinners causing stuff... Adding stickers to there cars like "Enemies Everywhere" and wank tanks doing burnouts in carparks meaning that there becomes more heat on people with performance cars doing the right thing. I got pulled over by two pursuit cars the other week and did a whole look over on my car whilst on Cruise Control sitting on 100km/h. Asked why, informed of some wankers in HSV and a 6T street racing and making two cars get in a head on. There stupidity caused me an inconvenience. Only thing I urge from the Police to not class all under 25s with modded cars in the same book... Because believe me we arent.
You have a CAPA box? If so you should be able to reinsert, only thing I have really heard of is the fact that it will try and reprogram itself setting levels and such. Happened to a mate had to take to Ford to reprogram or something, didnt happen to me when I did it though.
Im installing on the weekend HDI I/C, GSS342 Fuel Pump, Siemens 60lb Injectors and my turbo with a .7 Compressor Housing, question what gap should I have if running daily 10-12pound and 16 for race and what injectors are good?
Well I put back to Ford tune... Didnt boost at all and didnt attempt to so kept driving seemed to have caused no damage.. 4000rpm = Max Rev. Got new turbo now and bolted on last weekend haha
Well its really a choice out of Hi-Tech and Peckys as Concept use Hi-Tech. Yes I had the same issues with Concept even though my CAI has the same filter and the box its in is bigger and alot better up here I get told he doesnt wanna touch, its a shame when people think there parts are superior.. Mixing and matching is the best thing I say... One place might have awesome CAI one might have awesome I/C.. Looking at there I/C I didnt like them too much.. Also I like Peckys because he is picky, he wont touch stuff he doesnt wanna touch... And plus he tuned my mates dads GT40 to perfection!
Concept Cars do to also im pretty sure, they're the Herrod Dealer... But I'd go Peckys of Hi-Tech, extra $$$ = extra performance. I have got my walbro fuel pump, siemens injectors sitting at home, new turbo be here soon as other seized, new braided oil line here soon and also front mount, get her all tuned when I can should be putting down some nice power.
Well heres it goes, ive raced a few Skyrice and everytime have beaten them. But they're cheap for a RWD one are they do put down some good numbers. But here's the problem with them, they attract wanker drivers. Example. At the local drags, guy turns up with GTR badges, really only a GTT or what ever they call them. We run of lights, me fully stock and him doing what ever he does.. 1st I have him until he hits full boost and catches me he snaps second and wheelspin does the same up the gears everytime catching me again then when he gets besides me needs to change gears, anyways I won... 14.4 in Darwin (Very Humid Night) I checked his tyres when we finished... He had the STOCK skinny Skyline rims!!! .... /end
Hey Guys Well I was away for a month and basically when ive returned ive got these dry smirky marks that looks like dry dust. Ive always used Maguires Window Cleaner and even that's not getting it off. If I try to get it of any harder im going to crack my windows lol. Is there any stuff that will get this stuff of? Its like little dirt circles dried I can take some pics if you need a better visual? Thanks.
Well im going to get the ETM replacement line, so that solves my answer then. How he explained it, it sounded like another filter that you had to replace.
Hi Guys, Was having a chat to the local tuner and he informed me of something I haven't heard of before. The filter on the block via the oil sender switch on the passenger side of the block of the XR6T are supposed to have a crap filter and get clogged easily? Got to to replace with the Territory turbo filter. Anyone else heard of this, got told good to do when up around 300kw.
