Hi 'revheadrobbo, BA and BF Phoons probably do have the same coolers BUT a stock BA/BF XR6T cooler is 50% smaller than a PHOON cooler. The only reason I fitted a BA Phoon cooler to my stock BF XR6T today was for that reason(50% larger) and the price was not too shabby either. Blueprinted xr A bit of thought before starting out won't go astray for anyone doing this upgrade. I found a tread on this site relating to removal of the front bar/bumper in order to respray the intercooler..............very helpfull. Note: you will need to drill 2 holes.(relocate the passenger side mounting bracket,you need the Phoon bracket) you will need to plug the Phoon's "boost gauge sender unit" threaded hole(driver's side). Hi 'Ford powa', Too late I know, but I run my 80gb classic ipod through my premium sound system ( BF ) using a cable I purchased through ebay. This cable set me back $45. Complete idiot proof instructions and pics. Two connections at the rear of the main fuse panel, run the cable to the lower tray in the consol. Connect the 32pin ( as per apple ) to the ipod base and hey presto, all is good. Sound quality is brilliant. All sound adjustment is through main car volume control and this cable charges your ipod at the same time. Have been using it for several months now without dramas. A mate has the genuine Ford item ( more than twice the price ). There is no difference in output volume or quality between the 2 units. Ebay might suck in some areas BUT not all purchases are crap. Hi Tab, I checked out a site that lets you download an upgraded disc BUT I had to jump through too many hoops to justify whether or not a pirated disc was worth the drama. Thanks for the idea.

My 4/2006 XR6T has the Ford Sat Nav system installed. Up untill yesterday all worked great. Yesterday I turned it on and a message box ( see pic below ) came on the screen. I turned the unit on/off several times but got the same screen message. I removed the disc ( see pic below ) and cleaned it with a dvd cleaning kit( $37 ). The disc looked fine when I removed it but it looked brand new after I cleaned it. I reinserted the disc..................no change, the message is still the same. Have removed and cleaned the disc several times but no go.... the same message. Please, no comments about buying a TOM TOM or NAVMAN or *****. I like my car for what it is and would prefer the O.E.M gear fitted. Any ideas or suggestions. Cheers

Thanks Winstor, there are ford lock nuts for $50 approx. on ebay, BUT, these FPV rims require Long(rear) & Short(front) Wheel lock nuts. Cheers

Have put a set of BF Typhoon 18" rims on my BF XR6T. Ford have quoted me $188.95 for a set of 4( black or chrome )lock nuts. Is this a realistic price? I do know that the front nuts are a shorter length compared to the rear nuts. Cheers

I thought I had that rattle sorted out..............wrong. UNTILL 2 weeks ago.............the rattle was associated with the rear handbrake adjuster. No more rattle so far. Hope this avenue assists you.

Hi guys/gals, I drive a 06 xr6t and had that "rattle" sound when I drove over bumps. It didn't happen when I first fitted new bendix pads, but 10,000k's later that rattle reappeared. I pulled the pads out and "adjusted" the anti rattle shims/plates. This worked for a few thousand k's but the rattle is back. Could someone supply the name of the glue that is being used and where I can buy it? Cheers gwk

2006 BF XR6T ............. my go to work car and weekend pleasure toy, only had it 2 months! Can't get enough drive time in the car........love it! The bike has taken a back seat for the present. I don't know when the car novelty will wear off.
