  5. FG Diff's??? - My FG XR6T (Sedan) which has 27,000km on the clock is now sitting on a hoist at FORD having the rear diff hat seal replaced as I found oil on the garage floor. When FORD initially inspected the car they also found that the timing case seal needed replacing as oil was found around the sump area and further to add that coolant had leaked from hosing around the air-cond that needed repairing... All to be fixed under warranty...
  6. Hi Again, With resetting the IPOD's in the FG, I called the Dealership & spoke with the sevice dept which said to disconnect the power from the battery & let sit for 5min & it will then work when reconnected & IT DID!! So simple & you also don't need to enter a passcode for the stereo . Now the only issue remaining is the bluetooth for my SE P900 phone that doesn't pair correctly. (No Phone entity after pairing) Phone cost $1300.00 - Car $47,000 - Ford should also sell fully compatible Phones. I hope the updates that members are mentioning of will resolve this otherwise its another new phone - but which one? Cheers!!
  7. Hey All, The IPOD in my FG isn't viewable after 3mths of mp3 pleasure, I flick through the mode selections on the steering wheel & the IPOD is no longer an entity in the ICC module - no listing when connected. Looks like another trip to FORD for the resetting... :(
  8. Hi ya all, I've gone and purchased the FG-XRT with the Techpack installed & what pee'ves me is that I can't pair my $1300 Sony Eric P900 phone with the FG car kit - No listing of the phone when paired with the kit... Maybe FORD should be also sell compatible phones that actually work with their car kits & also be clear on what phone models do work prior to contract signning. Now do I spend more money on another phone??? >>> No bluddy way!!! Firmware on phone is the latest & would luv to know what spec the Bluethooth FG phone kit is. I think its a TH Bury but the model is unknown to me & I would really like to determine what Bluetooth versions it can handle. Eg, Bluetooth 1 & 2+ or just B2 only... any tips/hints/info would be tops anyone???
  9. Hi all, I've also gone & bought the FG (Feels Great) XR6T. My dilemma though is that 5 yrs ago I bought a Sony Ericsson P900 PDA phone with all the bells, whistles & horns but I am unable to pair the phone with the FG Bluetooth kit. The P900 phone pairs with the FG kit but after the pairing process the SE P900 isn't listed as being paired in the FG console display which means I can’t Bluetooth/sync the phone to the car kit. Now the SE P900 cost me $1300.00 back then & at this point I don't wish to buy a new phone as I still like the SE P900 functionality & all it provides. Apparently the P900 has the 1st bluethooth#1 capabilities & I’m thinking that the FG kit is Bluetooth #2 & above. Does anyone have similar issues with SE phones or the similar with the same pairing issue? I’ve upgraded my phones firmware to the latest revision & to no joy of success with pairing. I would have thought that the FG Bluetooth kit would be backwards compatible. Any feedback or assistance regarding the FG Bluetooth kit & its specs would be fully appreciated... Cheers!!
  10. Hi Senna, Thanks for your feedback. With the sound I only hear one clunk which seems to derive from the front driver’s side area of the engine bay & only occurs when driving off at low speed from when the car is initially started. After this I don't hear it again until the motor is switched off / restarted & same result – one clunk when driving off. I don't hear repetitive sounds as mentioned –5 or 6 times. With the tyre pressures I had checked them prior to the service as I regularly check them when filling up with fuel... I did notice though a pimple faced teen that was working at the service centre & he looked so green & unhappy –work experience kid maybe. I thought he may have been given the duty of checking tyre pressures when the variance of psi levels was determined... Also I was never clearly explained what was done on my 3000km service only that it was done... I also had a nail in one tyre which when advised to the mechanic on arrival he looked as though the world was going to end & life would cease to exist. Luckily it wasn’t a nail but a small metal object that didn’t totally pierce the tyre. Note: I’ll fill the survey form out & maybe they will supply me with the report on what was done to my car... Cheers!!
  11. Hi All, I'm also experiencing a similar sound or clunk noise in my FG XR6T that has 6000kms on the clock. I hadn't notice this initially when driving from the dealership but not long after when I returned to earth from the XR6T experience I noticed a clunk sound from the engine bay when driving off at low speed (under 10km). This sound only occurs from initial start-up & then occurs when driving off at low speed & doesn't occur thereafter. One thing I've noticed is that the sound is becoming fainter as the K/ms increase on the car. Reading this forum topic I'm assuming that this may be the ABS priming itself but I'm not sure? Any feedback would be appreciated as I recently I had my 3000km service to which Ford stated they didn't hear anything that was concerning which is Buls*%t as at that time it was as noticeable as closing your door. Also when I checked my tyre pressures after the service they all varied, 35psi on the fronts, 38 on one rear & 42 on the other. Now I've been supplied a customer survey form from the dealership which I was intending to give them a rightful servicing but thought with record keeping & day & age they may review & create more grievance for me if I was to go back for the next 15,000km service. Again any suggestions or possibilities regarding this sound would be appreciated!!! Cheers!!!
  12. My ubeaut FG XR6T has 1600 k's & its current Fuel average states 14.3L/100km. City (frustrated) driving & I did manage to get it up to the 18's L/100km when approx 1 week old with alot of gunning & thrasing about with the throttle. Being a bit more sedate these days. Running prem 95 & 98 also...Now looking at an oil change this wkend to rid the metals filings that could cause some scouring or damage within the lightning bores of power... Ubeautee!
