You can get it off without any fancy tools. Just need a good grip on it with both hands and give it a good solid pull back and up. In the direction of the centre roof lights is about right. Works everytime with mine and no broken clips.
1. May/June 2008. 2. Only recently, I think, but nothing you'd notice. 3. Don't know. Mine's manual, but everyone seem to think the ZF is the ducks guts. 4. It will have a grill on the lower section of the A pillar trim panels and a subwoofer on the parcel shelf, as well as a colour screen. (Providing it's a sedan you're talking about, if it's a ute then I think it's only the grills on the A pillar trim panel that give it away.) 5. Depends what you call expensive??
That depends. Some have claimed the oil pump gears have the same part number from BA,BF and FG yet they are clearly a stronger unit nowadays. I'd suggest that even though a component has the same part number, it may be a stronger upgraded component now anyway? Unless you're the unfortunate one who orders something and ends up being sold NOS.....
I am fortunate enough to own a copy, yes. I'll have a look and see what I can dig up for you. However, I won't be posting any pages from it due to copyright.
Acorroding to the workshop manual, there are 4 No1 barbed clips and 1 No 2. The 4 No 1 clips are: 2 on the rear of the shelf and 2 on the front (the ones behind the seats so you'll have to lay the seat down). The No 2 clip goes through the r/h anchor point. And if there's an anchor clip fitted then it must also be removed. That's all that holds it in. A bit of gentle pursuassion and time will see it walk out.
These subs are good because you only need 0.8cuft of space to run them. The shelf needs to have all the press in clips removed and you sort of walk it out like a crab.
This was, and still is when I get around to doing it, my planned boot install layout. Subs are 10" and should go well. http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=53544&view=findpost&p=822267
There are quite a few substantial differences. In a good way. The FG has an all new head design. The block has different engine mounting positions to the BF. There are also a few other changes, but at the end of the day it is better than the older stuff.
One of these. FORD BA , BF F6 typhoon secondary air intake snorkle - eBay, Other, Car Parts, Accessories, Cars, Bikes, Boats. (end time 16-Apr-10 15:08:45 AEST)
If they are flashing then they must be moving. Either the globes in the holes, or the whole reflector. I set mine up in the shed. With the original globes fitted parked the car back approx 3m from a wall and marked the wall where the top of the solid light beam was. I did the same with the HID's but set the solid line slightly lower. Tthere was a bit of mucking around, but I found a happy medium in the end.
Here's an idea, and one I'll be trying myself. Use a large plastic garbage bag. One that fits the wheelie bins. Put it in the boot space and fill it half full of expanding foam. Give it a while and push it into the boot cavity you will be using. Let it set and remove it. Shape it to size and fibregalss over the top. Use a sheet of MDF as the front face for mounting the speakers and presto. Or something along those lines.
That's a pretty awsome sequence millers. Excuse my laughter. I have an FG workshop manual with a separate folder of information from a Ford technician's training session before the FG was released. In that training session manual there was a procedure to disable the seat belt warning chime, and it was nothing like what you've suggested. It stated that it was possible to disable the seatbelt warning chime by cycling the ignition key nine times. That's it. I havn't tried it yet, but that's what is written in black and white in that manual. ps. What's an e-brake?
