  1. Um. Boost pressure in psi as it says in the r/h side of the graph.
  2. To be quite honest, I can't really say that I feel any difference on the road. If anything, due to the lower boost pressure, it seems to be using slightly less fuel.
  3. We did a total of 10 runs. The first three were with the standard airbox. The next four with the larger one. Then three more runs to verify results. I can honestly say that heat soak played a massive game in power runs with every run done almost instantly back to back. After every run the following runs saw a drop of between 10-15rwkW every time. The car never left the dyno or was restrapped at any time and ambient temp was within 1 degree C between all the runs. The gap between the third run and the fourth run was a s long as it took me to remove the standard airbox and snorkel and fit the larger units. From memory it was about 5 or 6 minutes. The same process was done when changing back to the standard airbox. I agree that an 11rwkW gain may not be entirely accurate as there are variations between dynos, but until someone else can do the same testing that I have done, and supply proof, as I have done, I'm sticking with my claim of 11rwkW gain by fitting these items.
  4. Guys. It's all true. I was the one who fitted the airbox to my car and did the multiple dyno runs with the standard airbox and then the XR8 airbox and snorkel. I did indeed see a genuine 11rwkW increase at the rear wheels from this addition only. I bought my parts from the FTG Auto slavage guys through ebay. I reported back to them my findings because they had not done any dyno runs to prove their theory of increased horsepower. Benny. Don't seriously doubt it mate. It's true. And I did it with 95ron fuel and ambient temps of 34 degrees C. FG-XR6T. I didn't notice an increase in induction noise with these parts fitted. I did notice, from the dyno runs, an increase in power and decrease in boost to make that power. Gotta be happy with that. Blue line is with larger airbox and snorkel. Red line is standard.
  5. They look good mate. Not so sure they're stealth though. They stand out like dogs balls on the top of the dash.
  6. Mate, if I was you I'd be going down there first thing in the morning and picking them up. Tell them your predicament with timing and all they've done is stuff you around and thanks for the headaches. Take them somewhere else and get a definate quote and time frame and hold them to it. If they stuff you around with timing, without valid reason, don't pay the full quoted amount. That's what I'd do anyway.
  7. Then let them try. If you've got a trade certificate in the industry or know a good mechanic that is willing to back your reasoning I say go for it. Like I said, if the components you fit have nothing to do with another part of the engine that fails then why wouldn't you be entitled to warranty? I know I'd be fighting it tooth and nail with whomever I had too to get my warranty claim in.
  8. Mate, if I was you I'd change the exhaust and rest easy. If your worried about warranty on your engine then don't be unless something goes wrong with it that can be directly attributed to your aftermarket exhaust system. For example. A valve spring lets go and you drop a valve smashing a window in the side of the block in the process. This will be warranty as your exhaust system has no affect on the valve springs. Get the picture?
  9. What is the build date of your car? If your head is being fixed under warranty then why is the cat convertor not being done also?
  10. Um yep. Warranty? Take it back mate.
  11. My car surges also. It only appears to happen in reverse at low speed and in the first couple of gears near idle speed. Not really a big deal in my opinion. I just squeeze the throttle a little bit and it goes away. Manual, by the way.
  12. Yep. Tank out isn't necessary. All that has to be removed is the bottom section of the rear seat. Once removed, on the passenger side you will find a big rubber plug/grommet, about 6-8 inches in diameter. Under that will be the intank fuel pump and sender unit. Pretty straight forward for a pump or sender replacement.
  13. Another Expensive Daewoo fan that's seen the light?
  14. It's not using oil. I'm only interested in the FG XR6T specifically.
  15. I've not had that problem but heard of it happening on very rare occasions. The throttle pedal assembly is a variable resistor and the wizardry inside the box can get confused and stuck. Lucky you haven't experienced your car at a stuck WOT position ! I'd be getting it back to the dealer asap if I was you. Shouldn't be too hard to fix.
  16. I've got no troubles at all. Done 6400kms and two oil changes. One at 959kms ( mineral oil went in) and one at 5000kms ( Penrite SIN 15 went in). I'm trying to find out info to settle a difference of opinion between a couple of work mates, all mechanics by trade.
  17. Hmmm. A week and no replies. I guess no one has inside info.
  18. Mine had a slight amount of noise but I decided to change the oil at 5000kms. It's still there if I really listen to it but I'm not worried about it. No one else can pick it if I ask them so all is good. I just accept it as a characteristic of the box.
  19. Sorry to hear about it Kice, but like you said it's your word against theirs. Good luck though. Just think, if you had forked out for an F6 to start with you wouldn't be having these dramas now. By the way, were your settings the same as when your car went in to have the dash fitted? If they were you might have a hard time proving anything. All I can say is Bugger......
  20. Do any of the Ford dealership service people, on this forum, have access to acceptable oil consumption figures for the new turbo engine? I'm after acceptable usage for a run in period and then usage over the life of the engine. I'm only after accurate data not previous model usage or opinions, just facts from Ford. Cheers
  21. Manual in Lightning Strike paint, premium sound, dashmat, full size alloy spare, standard towpack, front & rear mudspats. Driveaway $46600 in the Territory. Took delivery 1st week of July.
  22. This might seem trivial to some, but where is your spare tyre dude! Oh by the way, nice boot liner.
