  1. I had a BA that cracked around the top of the tank where the sender unit/fuel pump goes in. Could only notice it when the tank was filled as fuel would pool under the car. May be worth a look. Remove the rear seat and pull the grommet from the floor and see if there's any evidence of fuel around the top of the sender unit cover.

  3. Unless you cut a hole in your bellhousing, you're not going to see the slave cylinder. If you've got some sort of leak out of the small hole in the bottom of the bellhousing it could be a couple of things. Either way it's a box out job. Good luck.

  9. Two ways you can do it. First way, you need two people. Have one person in the car. Pump the clutch and hold it down. Second person is under the car and cracks the bleed nipple sticking out the bellhousing. A steady stream of fluid will come out and eventualy drop off. Tighten up the bleed nipple again and then top up the fluid reservoir. Repeat process a few times until the fluid coming out of the bleed nipple is the same colour and consistancy of the new stuff going into it. The other way is to just gravity feed fluid through the system. This won't get the fluid in the master cylinder changed out, but you can do it by yourself. Just attach a small length of hose to the bleed nipple once cracked and place the other end into a small bottle. Just keep topping up the reservoir until clear fluid comes out the other end. Hope this gives you some idea. edit: I use Penrite SIN ATF in the transmission. A lot of guys use Transmax Z.
  10. Bet there was a hell of a smoke show from the rear tyres. Better luck next time.
  11. I believe the deka's require some modification of the fuel rail or some spacers fitted to get them to fit as they are different to the factory FG injectors.
  12. I'm not touching a thing or spending a cent. My car is stock and I live in a high temp, high humidity area. No need to waste money on things that aren't required.

  14. I haven't looked properly, but the obd2 plug in the fuse box area may be able to be dislodged and set further back so you can plug your thingy in and get the cover back on. It may just be a couple of plastic tangs that need manipulating.

  20. Depending on your age, you should also be considering insurance costs. And if you buy the car to drive and not worry about how much 'value' it loses then the FG may be a more attractive car.
  21. Can't say I'm a fan. Makes it look incomplete.

  24. If it won't turn over then there may be an issue with the starter as well. Or do you mean it turns over but won't fire? Also, is it the rocker cover bolts that have come loose or the garnish on the top of the rocker cover?
  25. Trolley jack and a couple of axle stands, or a hoist if your one of the lucky type, a couple of spanners and out with the old and in with the new. Pretty straight forward to replace.
