  1. Simple fix. Go aftermarket H/U.
  2. You can get some decent mods for $1200 smicky.
  3. Purchase price aside, how much $$ you plan on spending?
  4. There are no spark plug leads on this engine. Have TPS and ETC been checked? Are there any fault codes stored? MAP end HEGO sensors checked? Have the injectors been looked at and/or the wiring to them?
  5. Thanks for the response guys. Cheers.
  6. That's odd. Mine's fitted with premium sound and the power button is to the right of the volume control knob. See.
  7. All the guys that are punching reasonable numbers out of their FG T's are you still running standard oil pump gears or have you fitted something stronger? What would the safe limits of the standard gears be bearing in mind keeping a standard rev limit?
  8. No it's not. The ok button is exactly that. An ok button. The power button is to the right of it.
  9. Nope. I made sure I got the wheel alignment figures before I changed my springs so as if needed they could be reset back to the original alignment as I know this setting doesn't pull or wear tyres.
  10. Ute or sedan? How old is the oil in the diff? If it's sending a vibration through the whole car I wouldn't be driving it anywhere. Time to get it out and looked at mate. Good luck with the warranty claim though.
  11. Depending on throttle application and boost level the noise may appear intermittant.
  12. I still can't work out why people would opt for bling rather than performance. You can't see it while driving anyway.
  13. Easy. Make something better. Like they did with the BF.
  14. I've got a very similar story. I got rid of a Phantom BA XR (n/a though), then stepped into a TS (again n/a)and now drive an FG turbo. The missus still has the Territory but I fitted a catback Redback system to it in my driveway. Was a pain trying to get the old one out and the new in as the r/h rear of the car had to be jacked so high to be able to feed the rear muffler/tailpipe section over the diff cradle. Not impossibe, but very fiddly. TT would be harder, I would imagine, having twin pipes. Best of luck with it.
  15. giggle
  16. What's wrong with the factory tacho?
  17. You didn't specify who you were talking too.
  18. Wait for the debate.
  19. Boost leaks generally whistle. Check all the induction pipework and clamps for security and tension.
  20. As long as you've got the height, no problems. No cutting would be required. They got the thing in there.
  21. Have you tried a dealer or a wrecker?
  22. Option 3+ hands down I reckon.
  23. Also make sure the oring seal is on the dipstick. This will create some grip and sealing in the tube when it is installed.
