How close are the other side of the mounting screws to the fuel tank?

Penrite SIN 80 is another one that has the friction modifier in the blend.

Depends what oil you buy. Most good synthetics have the additive in the blend.

If you can afford it, you're better off doing the whole lot in one hit. It'll save you the time and hassles further down the track.

Air to air engine oil cooler kit.

The movement you speak of, is it vertical or horizontal? If it's vertical, as long as the blades aren't touching the housing in any position, it will be normal. This movement is taken up by oil when the car is running. If it's horizontal play then you may have an issue with the core and bearings.

It sounds like it may be the starter, but have you checked the leads going to it? What about the starter relay and fuse? The dead short off the jump may have fried a couple of things.

That's odd. I've not read or heard of one FG with exhaust manifold bolt issues.

I'd be interested in seeing where the XR8 snorkel has to be cut and flattened down a little, as you put it Chris? I didn't have to do either to make mine fit??

If you do anything to increase performance then expect the associated components to no longer carry a factory warranty. However, if those modifications have nothing to do with, for arguments sake, a window seal leaking, then you should be able to claim warranty.

You could take it to either, but considering it's tuned you probably won't have any engine or drivetrain warranty. Your tuner should be able to sort it out for you though. Personally I service my own car, but I'm a mechanic.

Haha. If it was meant to sit like that the bonnet would never close! The last picture was taken to show the indentation more than anything. Skidude, you will need to give it further clearance as it looks ok at rest but when you're on the throttle hard the engine will torque over and the snorkel may come into contact with the drive belt. If you start seeing small rubber particles floating around in your engine bay that's where it'll be coming from.

EnricoPalazzo, the airbox and snorkel does make a difference to an XR. You have an F6. Different turbo configuration so different results. This is the dyno sheet from my back to back testing with the standard airbox and snorkel and the XR8 snorkel and airbox. The red line is the standard parts, the blue line the larger diameter items. Arkayne, due to your town of residence and the high ambient temperature most of the year, it would be wise to upgrade the pipe if you are increasing boost.

Standard filter will fit it. My snorkel did come with the mesh. Also, after you fit the snorkel you will have to move the rubber seal on the underside of the bonnet further back. If you leave it where it is with the larer snorkel it doesn't seal on the top of it and hangs in the airstream. You only have to drill 2 new holes for the clips approx 10-15mm further back on the bonnet. You may have to give some clearance on the snorkel near the drive belt also. Mine looks messy but it's effective. I haven't had the chance to dyno my car with the standard filter then swapping to the K&N. Either way, you can purchase both off ebay. Hope this helps.

If you're going to fit a different intake don't go with the FG F6 unit as it's exactly the same as what you already have. What you want is the XR8 snorkel and airbox. If you search on ebay you should be able to find one under FG FALCON.
