Carpet got wet but it came up through cracks in the slab! The shed fell over and I lost the mower, a bar fridge, and a new block and parts I had ready to begin a project build... I'd kept it a close secret so I could pop up on here one day with a built motor ready to drop in. Now it's full of muck, rust, and frog sh*t. The plastic bags and oil coating on them did f*ck all. The worst part is about 20-30 tiles have cracked along the hallway, and in an arc fro The toilet around into the bathroom. Add to this all the footpaths moving up to 3 inches away from the house, a sh*tload of movement vertically in the paths too and cracks I. The opposite direction to the joins in the Gyproc ceiling, and I guess u could say I'm a little concerned. The positive thing is I'm insured through Suncorp. That and the TTG is safe, lol.

I want one for my territory? Anyo e seen one?

I've been out of home for a week now, left home on the 29th and got back there on the 2nd... Now waiting an insurance assessment. I waded down the street that intersects with mine in waist deep water to check my house. I'll Post some pics wen I get home, currently using the net on my phone. I did manage to keep the new TTG nice and dry though. :0)

Sorry, mate no luck, but I'm still tryin.

Yeah probably... the last floods hit my driveway. These ones they are sayin will be bigger ah well, that's wat insurance is for.

Bunna, here's one for you. I've got a 2010 TTG and am certain that they only have 245kw motor. If I found a friendly ford dealer, can they 'flash' the car so it has a 270kw tune in them, not unlike the F6X, or did thy run different injectors etc??? I know of 1 mate with an FG xr8, that was 'apparently' edited at a ford dealership he worked at to match the GT... Is there any truth to this?
-
Yeah I was out and about around 11am chrissy morning getting AA Batteries, cos I didn't buy enough for the kiddies toys. Booked in for early January to have the exhaust de-bunged, and to fit a K&N filter, and a F6 secondary air intake. Trying to find someone that works at a ford dealership as a mechanic that can flash it with the F6X 270kw tune. I don't know about the one in blackwater, but I have a mate who got a 2010 Black TTG here in emerald, for $66k, almost $15k more than me but mine was a demo with 8000kms on it. $15k well saved I say, lol.

Yeah, if we do this sensor and it doesn't work, merc have said they'll sent a new wiring loom, and a new ignition. That'll be 2 weeks away at least, lol.

The new kluger has been out for a bit now, and the new territory is yet to be released... so I'd say the territory looks like the kluger. The headlights are very kulgarish too, lol. Just my 2 cents worth

Tried the auto leccy avenue already, he took a look at it and said... "this is why I work on cars, lol" the story goes like this... bought the boat, water tested it, drove 800km, fired it up in the water, and it had a miss. Replaced all the plugs, fuel filter, and the miss went away. Next time we were on the water, the miss came back. Took it to Mercruiser in Rockhampton, and they said it was running 38deg timing, and was registering knock in double figures, so they pulled the timing back to 28deg, and the knock all but dissappeared. Brought the boat back to emerald, put it in the water, and after 10-15 mins of use, it would beep once, and cut the revs back to zero, then bring them back to where they were, all in a split second. Merc gave us a scan tool, we took it to our race engine builder here, and he was walked thru it over the phone. Couple of sensors came up showing faults. Merc sent the new sensors, they were fitted, the errors were cleared, but to no avail. now with boats, namely the mercs, they have a 2 beep alarm, a 3 beep alarm, etc... but nowhere in the programming of the ecm, is there anything for a 1 beep alarm and a power cut, lol. This is when we took it to an auto leccy. So we were sent 4 more sensors, and a new ecm, and they were fitted, the the motor was run on land, and there were no errors showing at all. we took the boat out, and it was running soooo ruch there was fuel in the water behind the boat, the exhaust looked black like a diesel, and the boat wouldn't idle. ... so this is where I'm at,lol. Unfortunately the race boat shop in town don't start back at work till mid January. Anyone got any tips???

Well, thought I'd add an update. Vehicle cost, was approx $54k Minus the GST made it about $49k Include Fuel, Tyres, Rego, Insurance, Maintenance, New 4 Old Replacment, Hire car for 2 weeks of every year, blah blah blah... Total cost out of pocket is $320 a week. (not bad considering the 2005 BF XR6T with 95,000kms was $170 a week, plus $80 a week fuel, then other costs on top) The balloon payment is for $17k in 4 years, and the car will have 100,000km on it. I can give the car back and just start a new lease, I can buy it our for $17k, or I can sell it and pay the lease company $17k and pocket the rest. I did a bit of searching around on carsales, and carpoint, and found that 4 year old Turbo Territory Ghia's with a lot more than 100,000 were still going for up around the $30-$35k mark.

Yeah, but the whole reason behind this is time. Its almost january, we've had the boat 4 months now and in the water 3 times. The mob that sold it to us sent us a fuel filter, and then brushed the whole issue under the carpet... not to mention spending alomost $3k on 'problems'. If, we were living somewhere that had a mercruiser dealer, who we could park it with them for a week, maybe 2 and let them sort it. As far as I can see, a new intake manifold, fuel pump, regulator, carby, fuel lines, & ignition, can be fitted by myself in a weekend easy. Then I could get it tuned by KSM here in emerald (a premier race boat engine builder who doen't deal in fuel injected) Turnaround of maybe 2.5 weeks by the time I get parts. Cheers, where u located wal?

I looked into buying one of these, but decided on the 2010 TTG. The dealers who went to the press release said the new one uses FG interior, New front and rear ends, the dealer said alongside a new kluger, the territory has VERY similar front and rear lights, and the territory has led driving loghts and mentioned that the exhaust setup is very 'toyota'.

Hey guys, I have a wake boat, and the electrics in it are playing up something fierce. We've replaced the ecm, all the sensors except for the map sensor (which arrives next friday), spent countless hours on it, and am frankly over it. We're looking to turn the motor which is a 350ci 5.7L 330hp mercruiser scorpion motor, the same as a VY SS motor, back to a carbie fuelled motor. What I'm asking for is a shopping list of what would be needed, such as a carbie, aircleaner, intake manifold, etc... Obviously it's to go inot a baot, but it uses the same principals as doing this to a motor for a car. Also, what is needed to 'plug' where the injectors and sensors are etc. Please help as I have a boat we can't use, and after hours of fault finding and many hours of testing, we're left to this last resort. Cheers.

2011 Territory I'm soooo clad I got a 2010 Turbo Territory Ghia, this is ugmo!
-
nice. Did you notice any difference, de-bunging and adding a filter and cai? Better fuel economy etc?
-
NICE!!! (wonder how much it will cost to make the new Terry Turbo into a 9sec soccer mums car, lol)
-
Had a bloke contact me throught carsales the same way, asked to buy the car, and was arranging pickup and inspection, but asked if I couls pay the pick-up guy, and add the cost onto the car, turns out they do a thing where they semi transfer the money into you account, called an authorisation, and when they get the car, or after ten days the transaction is cancelled.

I've ordered an ipod cable from on ebay, that has a t-piece (2 plugs in it) so I can have the ipod and roof mount connected.
-
I love the wheels, was looking at a set of them polished with a black star for my turbo territory ghia, but I don't know. Love the colour combinations... AWESOME!!!
-
I know, it's sad really, I'm waiting for him to log on here and say... "just bought this car and... _____ blew up, or _____has sh*t itself", I saw the way he drove off after the transaction, and it was harder than I've ever driven the car. I didn't tell him the oil pump was standard, and he was off the limiter changing from 1st to 2nd in the wet. Ah well, got the windows tinted on Friday, Now all I have left is to de-bung it today, and order the mags... Found these... Look the same as the standard terry turbo ones, but are black and machined in a 20 inch rim. My New Wheels
-
The terry goes in monday for a de-bung. I got the front windows tinted to match the privacy glass, now I'm gonna throw a set of 20's at it, and buy a block to build... I'm thinking the lease goes for 4 years, so that 4 years to build a motor, tranny, and buy 4 1000hp cv's. Bonjaz, get on there and offer the *beep* a $100... I have a mate who wanted them, but the asshole told me he wanted them for the car, so I included them in the sale.
