2004 - Had ( yeah had ) a Honda CBR292 fireblade... A woman in a 4wd pulled out in front of me and I hit her head on at 80Kph. One testicle the size of a small childs head, and a 1. dislocated wrist, the dislocation wasn't that bad, but because I had broken the other bone in my arm wright near my wrist, this meant that the broken bit of bone was on the outside. last year I had 12 weeks off work. I had a Duodenal ulcer (ulcer on the tube between your stomach and bowel) rupture at work. It felt like I swallowed a fishing hook and then tried to digest it. That hurt. what hurt more was it took them 2 days to figure out what the problem was, meanwhile my body was pumping sh*t (literally) in and around my internal organs so my body went septic. They operated and one organ at a time removed them, scrubed them down, drenched them in betadine and wacked them back in when I woke up my gut was still open, as my body had swelled up... needless to say I panicked and they put me back to sleep. will post pics of my arm when I get home

for someone who is learning about plenums as this thread develops, how hard are they to fit? Looking at Kev's process west ones as we speak, (will get cooler and kit first) but it's on the cards? how hard are the Plazmaman ones too ?

Okay guys so almost 2 months has passed since I got my car. I've aquired a full system, 4 inch dump, 3.5 inch hi flo cat, and twin 2.5's. I'm talking with dave (blueboost) about the tune and other things to get done at the same time. I'm definately going to go for the process west intercooler kit (2 or 3) , with the stage 3 throttlebody relocation & under battery cai. It will breathe better, flow better, and with daves help, I'll get a custom tune, along with some injectors. For the other starters, I was only going to get a tune, then a tune and injectors... then that plus a high flow cat... on and on and on and on it went... How I got to making this decision to be where I am now, is I broke it down into 4 steps. 1. How many KW did I want......................300rwkw min 2. How did I want to acheive it..................Reliably, my wife drives this car too... (this meant more money, and waiting a little to get everything) 3. Who was I going to use.........................I used this forum and found dave (Blueboost) from CVP Tuning in Mackay 4. Budget................................................Ask your tuner, he will know better than you how much it will cost. My budget has fluctuated somewhat, but is steady between $2750 and $3250 Fitted, always ask for fitted cost, a set of injectors for $500 is reasonable, but with $650 to fit them (as one tuner quoted me) can knock a hole the size of my ex girlfriends ass in a budget realy quick. Don't be afraid to ask questions............I have contacted dave no less than 5 times, and everytime he has been helpful. Before him I contacted 4 other tuners in my area, and was quoted upwards of $6000 in some cases to get the output I wanted, one shop telling me I 100% needed new rods before I could break 280rwkw. Your tuner should be able to understand what you want, offer advice, put up with your sh*tty requests, answer your dumb questions... Cheers dave seriously if you don't ask, and something fcuks up, or you get severely overcharged, it's your own fault. Just so you know I'm and am close to making a booking for fitment and tuning shortly. will keep y'all posted.

Cheers heaps for your input guys, I'm glad this place is here, I'll look at doing the fuel pump myself, and stick with Dave, Honestly, if it wasn't for this place I would have listened to the people here in my home town who have gone to those places and blown those excessive amounts of cash. I'll keep yas posted

Before anyone reads into this and assumes that Dave is charging me a little on the heavy side too.. I'd like to mention that his quote was under $3000 unlike the others, and included injectors, and a after market intercooler, gap plugs, tighten turbo and manifold, x3 flash tuner and tunes. So I really can't complain at all. As for the bulk buys at the moment, unfortunately I'm running on the lean side of the cash flow for the next 2 weeks, if they are still going when my wallet fills up, then I'll definately buy from here.

Not too sure. I called around and found that in the CQ area and that seems to be the norm, I can only find... Blueboost (Dave, who I'm using, as he comes highly recommended, and is a long standing member of theic forum) RDP Performance - Mackay Monster Performance - Mackay Dynamic Mechanix - Rockhampton Apart from Dave, the others keep telling me that $3000 wont get me much, and not to expect more than 280RWK My car is a BFI XR6T, F6 CAI, K&N Panel, I have an as yet unfitted 4" Dump Pipe, 3.5" Hi Flo cat, and twin 2.5" exhaust.
-
Thought I'd ring around and compare prices up here in CQ for a tune and some other bits. Let me know what you think. I've decided to go with Dave/BlueBoost, but thought I'd share some of the other pricesi was offered. (the exhaust I have that needs fitting is a 4" dump, 3.5" hi flo cat, and a twin 2.5" system) Quote #1 Fit Exhaust System: $600.00 approx Intank Fuel Pump: $550.00 (add $180.00 if vehicle is a ute) supplied and fitted 6 x Injectors: $1080.00 supplied and fitted Flash 2 Tuner with 3 RDP custom tunes $1495.00 Total $3725... and they have said with my F6 CAI and Panel Filter, max of 280rwkw. Quote #2 Fuel Pump, Seimens metal 600cc injectors, Growler kit (as apparently my CAI is holding back valueable KW), Flash 2 Tuner with 3 tunes, 10 pound actuator. $4000... possible 330rwkw.

A lot of people sneeze at the idea, but what extreme would you go to get some of your money back??? I have a friend that has gone to Today Tonight about a similar character about 18 months ago, he had the names of others that had been 'had' and Today Tonight threw some cash his way for the story. I know it's prpbably not the best way, but if going to the courts doesn't work, then maybe you could get some cash back through exposing him for the sleazy cheat he is... You could out him, make some of your loss back, and prevent anyoe else from being screwed... Just let us know when you do so we can watch and find out who he is. -
Cheers for that Guys, that's a great help.

I have a BF 1 XR6T 6 speed auto with a F6 CAI and a high flo cat. 245 Flywheel 20" wheels (basically stock 65000kms) My mate from work has a 60th Anniversary VE SS. Auto, 6.0L 270 Flywheel 20"weels (basically stock 10000kms) I read him the posts here as they were going up, and no more than 10 mins ago we put it to the test... He had me 3 out of 3. (legally I swear it ) we went all out till about 140kph. His starts were stronger then mine, but I seemed to pull him back around 2nd (70kph I think) and held on to him (not letting him increase his gap) through till we backed off, with him edging me out buy maybe a car and a bit at 140kph. I'm hoping that when I get hold of blue boost in Mackay, and finally get my tune done (august) I'll be good for about the 280 - 300kw mark and eat his sh*tbox for real on the track strip they have been commisioned to build here in my home town. Till then I have to live with my stocker not quite being up to his. Hope this helps.

Great read... my wife asked me to explain the difference between torque and kw as I finished reading this... I laughed at her and made her read it. She took it all in, better than me I think.

I'm at work ATM and only have this pic available to me. I'll get some tonight of the VT and post them.
-
I purchased some for my VT when I had it, they were reskins, where you actually had to remove the material from the seat, and then re-upolster it yourself. Took me a whole weekend to do the VT excluding the door cards. Looks sweet but was time sonsuming, and frustrating at times. They weren't real leather, a vinal imitation. Found them on ebay, I'm going to do them to the the T as soon as I get the littlest kid out of a plastic baby seat into a booster seat. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/LEATHER-SEAT-FORD-F...%3A1%7C294%3A50

Hey guys, I was looking at a DJR kit to fit on my BF today, and in looking read that they will not fit the BF's. Is this due to the Fog light config, or another reason? If anyone knows let me know, I'm willing to have a hack/chop/dodge at it if it is only a minor thing, but if it has to do with width of veicle, or other reason's I might just get an F6 kit.
-
Did anyone else notice the 'Slit' in the front of the car, in front of the bonnet? Over the radiator CAI maybe? That or Expensive Daewoo is adding a 'Kit' scrolling red light, that allows the car to talk to you

Cheers guys. :stupid2:
