  1. I too would like to know where one would go to obtain a serial number... Also, my Nikon D40 doesn't do these well, but will take photo's in Raw format, unfortunately the raw photo's don't manipulate the same, does anyone have any tips?
  2. Yeah, when dave started tuning it, he realised that it was holding a large amount of boost realy well. He would it up to 16psi, and it held it perfectly... I start at 16psi, and flow through to 16psi at full revs. When I bought the car from the gold coast, the previous owner said that he had done no mods at all, he was the second owner, and when dave fitted all my gear, the rest of the car was stock.
  3. I knew there would be someone who commented on that
  4. First time on the dyno. 330.7rwkw run.

    $1200

Springs and shock were my first call, but with the 20 x 10's on the back she already scrubs out on the sh*tty roads in CQ, and that's with the guards rolled. What are Springs and Rods worth fitted? Obviously more than $1200, but how much?
  6. 10 from 10, but twice as long as everyone else.

    $1200

I can't believe it. I was $1200 short from getting the process west stage 2 kit fitted when I had my car done last week, so Dave hooked me up with a Plazmaman 500 wide cooler, and the stage 1 pipework that replaces the OEM stuff. Today I get a bonus for wait for it... $1800... GTFO! Told the missus to buy herself a new Staffy, and she said the rest is mine My bills are caught up, house payments down, all fines paid up... Even bought the kids a heap of new clothes last week so that covered too! I put it tou you fine Gents, if you had my car, what mods would you do with $1200. I've already got Injectors, intank fuel pump, 20 inch mags, all the stuff listed below in my signature. 330rwkw in a BF 1. The interior is standard cloth, single cd, no gauges. Hit me with your ideas.
  10. Dave from CPV Tuning fitted mine last wednesday, 4 inch dump, 3.5 cat, and twin 2.5's... Sounds awesome. Anyway, he said it bolted straight in, no dramas. On that not I've got a few spare rubbers (new) if anyone gets stuck and needs em, try using the old rubbers as the extra play in them may allow for a looser fit. I do reccommend putting a little thread locker on the plugs that go where the sensors are supposed to, cos my top one fell out and sounded like sh*t, and pumped exhaust fumes all through my car. Good luck with the fit.

    Fuel Smell

The Bung for the first sensor (the one for the dump Pipe) came out and the smell was exhaust gasses, and a lot of them. Unfortunately it was 12:00 midday here in the middle of whoop whoop (emerald qld) so everywhere was shut. I pulled the one from the Cat and put it in instead, with a bit of Loctite to make sure it's not going enywhere soon. Now to find that damn rattle from in the same area... I'm not gonna remove the heat sheild, but probably use a LOT of clamps/tiewire.

    Fuel Smell

Dave checked them all on Wednesday when he did the tune. But I will still have a look. It's not all the time, moreso after I have given it a squirt. With the windows up, and the air con off, no smell, with the windows up and the aircon on, smelly.

    Fuel Smell

As you've probably read I'm now tuned and running up at 330rwkw. Today I noticed a fuel smell coming through the air con. It seems to happen more when I flick the the gear lever over to manual shift, it's not an exhaust smell, but more like the aircon is sucking air from over a puddle of petrol. Has anyone else got this problem, or maybe a solution? Is the Air con pick-up anywhere near anything that can omit a fuel smell?

    330rwkw

No news on the wastegate mods... haven't had a reply from the email I sent to the previous owner. Dave did the tune in 3rd. I was used to seeing cars done in 4th but had also previously read that 3rd is the go in the ZF 6er. I'm going to get the printout scanned tomorrow so I'll have the 'proof' then ,lol, not that it's needed, I can't help but smile when I look at it, the lines for the AFR's and Boost are almost dead straight, not fluctuation at all. Amazingly we have only had it back for a day and a half, and my wife (that's right) has already said in conversation to some mates, that at the end of the year we'll probably step it up... she awesome, but I'm I bet I know who's payin for it.

    330rwkw

BF 1, ZF 6 speed, f6 CAI, K&N Filter... He is a busy man, did an awesome job though, I guess that's the difference between people who do it cos they love it compared to those who do it as a 'Job'.

    330rwkw

Well I finally met Dave from CPV Tuning yesterday, and had the joy of him fitting my kit, and then today, tuning my car. Having bought my car 3rd hand 2 months ago, and the previous owner telling me he had not modded the car at all, I passed this information onto dave prior to having it tuned. Dave believes that my car must have an aftermarket actutor due to the boost being wound out to just over 15psi and it maintaining that boost level almost perfectly. With the fitting of the 500mm wide Plazmaman cooler, and the stage 1 underbonnet pipework kit, along with new injectors and an intank fuel pump, fitting my xforce exhaust, and a cooler thermostat, dave tuned the car to a very managable 330rwkw, and just over 1000Nm of torque. I'll add some pics when I get the chance, and a BIG shout out to Dave for an awesome job, and being extremely helpful with my choices, costing, and alround customer service. I will more than make the 4 hour drive if I need any more work done, Daves work was second to none, I'd recommend him to anyone.
  17. Foundn this today... Pissed myself at the comments by the guy from Top Gear.

    Booked In

I don't want to destroy the car so it has to have reliability, and that's gonna limit the RWKW's that we can chase. My missus drives the car every day, and I want her to be able to enjoy it too (she's getting right into modding atm). Dave knows his sh*t, I just read the threads on his 9 second efforts, and f*ck me, I'm just gonna let him see what he can do and go with it. I would have loved the Process west stage 3 kit, but the budget didn't allow for it. I'll follow suit, and start here, in another 12 months I'll be looking to get the missus a Turbo Territory, and then I'll really let Dave loose on the girl (the car not my wife) I'll keep ya posted as to how things go on Wed.

    Booked In

So the booking is made, the car goes in on Wednesday to Dave @ CPV Tuning in Mackay. Got a FANTASTIC deal on a Plazmaman Stage 1 with the 500mm Cooler, Piping, Injectors, Fuel Pump, Flash X3, Tune, gap plugs, check and tighten turbo and manifold bolts, and fitting of my full Exhaust System. My budget was adjusted somewhat, and Dave helped me out (more than he realy needed to) so I could squeeze all of my desires out of my budget. Can not thank Dave enough, and will be sure to post pics, and stats come thursday when I pick the car up.

  22. correct me if I'm wrong, but if you step the rim size up to 20 inch from 19 inch aren't you supposed to drop the sidewall height down to 30. My car runs a 245 30 20 on the front and clears everything. Same with a few ppl up here runnin 20's on foalcons. It sounds to me like your profile is too large. How's your speedo?
  23. here is one from behind (no pun intended)
  24. I've got a staggered fitment - 245 30 20's on the front and 275 30 20's on the rear. Looke Farkin awesome, have had the rear guards rolled up but still have the odd 'rub' over the sh*tty roads out here in emerald in qld (central QLD). The rims I have on the back should be running 285's but untill I can get the rear guards cut a bit I'mm gonna stick with the 275's. As for the speedo, by my GPS, dads GPS, and my mates new STI and my Fireblade, it's pretty bangon the money (no speeding tickets yet either).

    BRAKE SHUDDER ISSUE

My BF1 has almost 70000k's on it, and has cronic shudders... after the car is washed in a drive thru car wash (while the discs are wet/cold I guess) it brakes perfectly, once they get some heat in them (at any speed) they are worse than my VT commodore. I'm looking to upgrade to the 4000 series with new pads. I was told to just 'flog' the old ones with a hammer untill they came loose, does anyone else have a better idea so as not to bend, break, or f**k anything?
