Can someone quickely let me know, if I run race fuel on a bike/car not tuned for it can it be bad??? The question is moreso for my bike, it's been dyno tuned for 98 ron, but I have been given a 20L drum of race fuel (or moreso left at my house after motorcross last weekend). And well, I wanna use it if I can Buy the way, is race fuel 101 octane or what???

So.. tell us whats heppening to the beast. Are they doing the work, and dave tuning it?

I now only use the gps when my wife is in the car, loss of points, plus fine, PLUS legals, my solicitor assured me I would get off but he was as dumb found as I was. My problem is in the fact I wasn't touching it, it was in the cradle, and it had the GPS locator saying turn left in 200m, repetedly while I was being booked. I'm sorry, but to me if that's illegal, so is turning on/off a radio, flashing lights, siren, cagarette lighter, anything that requires the removal of ones eyes from the road, or hands from wheel, windows up/down, adjust mirror... it's all bull. But I copped it sweet, now just a little sour over it.

Hey guys, Just spoke to Greg (Gravelrash) and he's going to be on the mic this Saturday night at DPIS (Emerald Diesel Pump & Injector Service) for their Dyno Shoot out, I know I've posted this in the General Section, but anyone in the area this weekend come on down, have a chat and ramp up the car, should be a blast. Starts around 5:00pm and is apparently $50 entry. The last few have been alright, but not much of a Ford showing. My mate won one late last year with around 260rwkw in an SS... that's what we're up against! Did I cover it all Greg? Cheers.

Was pulled over on my honeymoon on the gold coast and had my phone in the hands free cradle, with it's GPS feature running so I could get to my sister inlaws place. Had to take it to court, and LOST cos it was a mobile phone, and it was in operation, and by looking at it I was using it... reguardless of the fact I was using it as a GPS! Sorry but its all in the hands of the cop booking you (good or bad mood), and the judge hearing your plea. Take the fine, I got myself in sh*t for blowing up over the issue in court.

Rubber scraper and some leverage... that and armour all spray to remove the gunk worked fine for me.

Congrats, awesome work. Glad to have you tuning my car, lol. It's been a lot hotter this past week compared to when you broke it, did it make too much difference? Any info or dates for the next Palmyra test and tune?

I'm surprised no one has replied to this yet. Correct me if I'm wrong guys... A quality intercooler and cold air intake, exhaust, and injectors + fuel pump should should see you able to make well and truly into the 300+ area. (350+ probably) With a good tune. I'm running a BF XR6T and with a plazmaman cooler and pipework, injectors, exhaust, and fuel pump and a custom tune I'm making and easy 330 Rwkw, we could have wound it up more, but these were my first mods to the car (and I had to get my wife used to this much before I tickle it up a bit further). One step at a time. My old girl has the STI tuned Libery - Luxurious, but nowhere, and I mean nowhere near as fun as her old WRX or my T. Someone else will have to talk about clutches cos I run the 6 speed auto. As for fuel consumption, I got 450 to a tank standard and now get 410 to 420 around town. My highway economy got better by a good 70 to 100km.

Can you get reasonably priced Semi-Slicks for 20"x10" rims? I know I might be asking a lot here but I can find them for $1000+ each, and $2000 could get me a set of 17 inch rims and decnt rubber for the track.

I thought that, but the manual was written for a cur running manufacturers specs. The car's not exactly stock. that's where my concern comes from, a modded car, and high air temps, doesn't seem like I should be running standard oil.

I'm in emerald in central queensland, the temps hit 33 degrees here over the weekend (so much for the cooler months) and I'm about to do my first oil change on the car since I bought it. Have decided to go with Royal Purple or Nulon as they seem to be top shelf choices and the car is modded. But should I go with 10w50 or 10w40. I've read some of the 'oils aint oil' threads, but it's gonna be a f**kin hot one here this summer (and spring for that matter). Also, I'm running a cooler thermostat, does that have any bearing on oil temps, and choices??? Cheers guys.

was looking for an icc I saw on ebay, that eliminated the two top air con ducts and had a lcd screen there instead, couldn't find them, but found these... My dad has a Nikkon D40, and I find it great, although it doesn't support bracketed photo's. Any idea what Nikkon do as the next available one in their range that has a AEB feature?
