  1. looks great. gotta be happy with that!.
  2. GIRTH!!!!!! LOL SPIRO. But seriously if you jam the throttle I think we all know what these will do
  3. who is doing this for you? I'm thinking of coming across to rocky to see if I can get a 4" system from the dump back. that or a y piece before the cat with a butterfly valve. Is he expensive?
  4. those wheels are KOYA inox Kahns... 20x10 on the rear is my guess, and 20x8.5 on the front too??? (am I right) I bought my car from a guy on the coast with a set on it. LOOKS HOT. Awesome 1st post too by the way!
  5. I did the FG F6 short motor with my bf head, and have had zero problems. I'm having a re-tune done in the next month or 2 to make the adjustments for the stage 3 cooler and pw 4" air box. I get better fuel economy and the motor hasn't missed a beat running 360rwkw. each to their own. The pistons are a forged unit according to ford, and the rods are different part number to BF 2 and FG XR and I'm told by ford that this is due to a different bush in the rod... NOT a stronger rod. I even went as far as contacting ARGO (it was rumoured that they ran an ARGO rod) and they told me that they supply their rods for the xr8, not the FG F6. Hope this helps.
  6. she said that you 'might' need to get it mod plated, to save on the hassles from the coppers.
  7. Just found this in the "Modification to Motor Vehicles" .pdf file for QLD transport Accessory gauges Any additional internal or external gauges must: • not interfere with the field of view of the driver • not produce glare to the driver • not have the possibility of an oil pressure line, or similar, breaking with pressurised fluids spraying onto the windscreen • be fitted in such a way to reduce the risk of injury to the vehicle occupants or pedestrians. Does this mean I can fit mine to my pillar?
  8. My missus waork for QLD Transport and said that when you take it and get the mod plate, take a print out of the "http://www.transport.qld.gov.au/resources/file/ebde8d0521b67c6/Pdf_modification_motor_vehicles2.pdf" and have them stamp it andf sign off on it on the exhaust page. Then staple a copy of the paperwork for the mod plate to it. IF the coppers go to defect you, you show them the paperwork. Anything beyond this is deemed harrasment.
  9. I was also thinking this... 400+ would look sweet there. (now I've just gotta squeeze another 20 from the old girl!)

    Can'T Sleep :-(

Join a gym... 45 to 120min weight session and a big feed and my body is ready for sleep!
  12. what are they spraying under the bonnet of the GTR in the video???
  13. I sent an e-mail off to ARGO and got a reply saying that they supplied the rods for the V8's but none for the FPV FG F6. He seems to think that they are the same rod as the BF2, but cannot explain the different part number.
  14. so... hopefully when I get a 380-400 tune, the tranny 'should' hold.
  15. AU to BA meand same doors and roof, different front and rear. The AU's ran the same doors and roof at the BA/F didn't they bunna?
  16. trash, without knowing who could
  17. You can buy a 10mm spacer that fits between your turbo and exhaust like a gasket, I think it's 10-20 bucks. would probably do the trick. I'm pretty sure I saw it on ebay.
  18. wat power were you poushing through it when it broke? how many K's. I'm being nosey as in august I'm gonna get the automatic shop in rocky to do a service on the tranny, and see how she looks. It hasn't missed a beat touch wood, but after blowing my motor am being a little cautious. lol.
  19. I went a similar rim to those in an 18... worst decision ever. Looking for a set or 19's atm. Thinking something in a thin 5 spoke. of course with a staggered fitment.
  20. what mods did they do to your ZF? Did you blow it up, or just get it strengthened 'just in case'?
  21. FMD! that's awesome. easy 10's there maybe even a 9 if you can hook it up. Dave is a champ isn't he, I'm still a litle bit away from my next visit to see him, but I'm saving!
  22. Qik1, how'd your tune go with dave?
  23. I did this change over in January this year. Blew my BF1 motor, and bought an FG F6 short motor from ford delivered for $2800. In all I did the change over, including a new engine mount, K&N oil filter and enough fluids for the first 2 services for under $5000. Firstly, the FG F6 has a different part number for their rods compared with the FG XR6T rod... this I have been told is due to them using a different bush in the rod. Also, the FG F6 uses a forged piston. You will encounter a couple of small hic-cups changing from BA/F to FG, one being that the engine mount on the engine side will need a bit of a grind to fit, and you'll need to punch the plug out of the front dipstic hole to allow the dipstick to fit in (MAKE SURE YOU DO THIS BEFORE FITTING THE MOTOR AS ITS A *beep* HAVING TO REMOVE THE MOTOR TO PUNCH A HOLE OUT) Anyhow, I have a writeup on what I did. http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=64317&hl=knocking+from+motor&st=72 I did one on my build with poto's and sh*t but I can't find it Good luck anyway, pm me if you need any tips. cheers.
