does this conversion work for RWHP or is it only for just flywheel HP
-
yeah it is pretty much a good ol boy town out where I am. and driving really fast in a circle is still all the rage with the good ol boys... I make a lot of people mad with my piss on nascar bumper sticked. lol by the way do you know what nascar really stands for? Non Athletic Spotrs Centered Around Rednecks LOL yeha it seems like ford gives all the cool engines (except the 5.0 and the 4.6 mainely the 32valve 4.6 in the 03 cobra... my dream car) to every other country
-
that's pretty much what they do with the 4.6 and 5.4 over here.... add a cam, valve, supercharger but keep the same bottom end (just tougher for the SC versions)

im sorry I should have been more specific I ment does the XR6 turbo come in any other cars?
-
sorry I have been without a computer for a few days. to answer of previous question of how I heard about this engine. my best friend just got a r32 skyline and he was talking smack about they are "the most amazing cars" he was saying that the japs can make more power than americans using less cylinders and run up and down on any ford out there. so I was searching for 6 cylinder engines and stumbled across the video of the I6 on the dyno with the glowing header and through a little more searching I found out more and more about this engine. then I stumbled across the video of the right side drive 60's era mustang almost jumping off the dyno that is powered by a SOHC 4.0L Turbo I6 which eventually led me to here.... and hours of reading on this forum (to the point where my eyes hurt) I decided to become a member and ask some questions. my first thought was to get one of these engines and drop it into my stang but I already have so much invested in my 5.0 that I just cant bring myself to do it. I already have edelbrock performer rpm heads, ford racing f-cam, edelbrock performer rpm intake, and a vortec v-2 series sq trim with a 12 pound pully.... I made 300hp and 320 tq before the supercharger. so with all of that I just cant change my mind at the last minute and drop in an exotic motor. but began to think.... the fox mustang weighs about 700 pounds lighter than the SN-95 (94-99 mustang) snd with the inline 6 I would save even more weight (plus the cool factor of having the aussi I6 LOL) so with some good suspension pieces and even a lightly modded I6 I could run low 11's (give or take) the only things holding me back is getting the I6. plus I just found out that I am gonna be a father so all funds are now being diverted to doctor bills so even the mustang is just waiting in the garage until I get the cash to finish it. so for now it is all a future dream/plan. but I still wanna know everything about the I6 that I can... knowledge is power right? I mainely just wanna show my best friend the true power of FORD and show him the real meaning of BUILT FORD TOUGH the hard way.... at the track as he is reading my liscense plate and admiring my tail lights.

did this motor come in any other aussi cars?

yeah I have been seriously dissapointed in the IRS offered in the 99+ cobras and prefer the live axel. but I am mostly focused in drag racing and prefer the durability of a live axel. it is cheaper to build. my dad pulls 1.8 60 foot times with a 8.8 live axel using only junkyard mix and match parts as far as the axel goes. (3.73's from a Explorer, 2 driver sie axels from an explorer I believe they are 31 spline) I wish ford would wake the hell up and bring the falcon over here. has the 07 Shelby GT 500 been released over there. I am also pretty upset about the demise of the inline 6. I haven't even known about it for very long and I (in a short period of time) already know it is something special that needs to be kept alive. BA Mk1 - Weak Internals (Bottom end) Very weak valve springs BA Mk2 - Weak Internals (Bottom end) at somepoint stronger valve springs were added BA Mk2 Typhoon - strong Internals, stronger valve springs BF Mk1 - Pre May 06 - Weak Internals, (Independant cam timing was added?) BF MK1 - Post May 06 - Typhoon spec internals BF Mk2 - Typhoon Spec Internals are these all the same block just with different internals, head, and cams? a in depth break down would be GREATLY APPRECIATED. and what is a good combination of mostly stock parts to get me close to 400-500HP? also what kind of power does basic 4.0 turbo make out of the box? I know I have a lot of questons and if I get annoying just let me know LOL

ll you aussi's hit it right on the head when this was made!! I know ford of america has a 3.9 liter inline 6 mostly used in trucks. it is probably a whole different thing. what would be the cheapest decent engine I should be looking for. maybe 400 hp with stock bottom end. I'll fab up my own header, intake, and intercooler. and what injectors should I use. I was thinking 42 pounders I have no idea what thet would be in CC's. oh and what does everyone think of the stang? beautiful isn't it? australia wasn't lucky enough to get the stang right? they are pretty rare over there right? oh and is the 302 HO (5.0 liter) an available engine over there? just curious.

thanks a lot. the T5 is a pretty dirty word around here also. I am actually on my 4th T5 in my mustang. but I have been having trouble deciding on going with a T56, TKO, or a C4 automatic in my stang. it isnt hard to register a RHD car in the states my best friend has a RHD Skyline that he drives daily, the hardest part is getting the car here in the states. I would love to get one of these cars. I really appreciate all the help here keep the info coming. this is probably a dumb question but, did this motor make it to the states in any car over here. maybe just the block or just the head.... so that way I can get the bottom end or the head or something here then I would only have to order what I cant get here. im probably getting annoying with all of these questions but I am truly and absolute newbie with this car. I know everything about mustangs but I know pretty much nothing about the XR6T. just for the hell of it here is a pic of MY BABY.

first I would like to thank everyone for all of your help. everyone on this forum seem so nice. a lot of the forums over here in the states people are pretty rude. everyone on this site seems to be about the love of the car. I like that, people gathering together for the good of the sport/car. if I got the entire car I would keep it as a right hand drive. I like RHD it is kinda cool being different my best friend has a RHD skyline. plus it would really throw people off to see a RHD FORD.... not many people over here really know about these cars so I think it would be unique. now really what are the differences between the different versons of this motor? I would like to see 400-500 HP I have no clue on how to convert that to KW. and how much (just a guess) does one of these engines, motors, and wiring run (before shipping). and does anyone know if any US parts would interchange. like transmissions or anything that I could find in the states to save me some cash on shipping. my mustang uses a borg warner T5 does anyone know if, with the right bell housing, would botl to this motor. thanks everyone your help is greatly appreciated.

hey people I live in ocala florida in the united states. I have just recently learned about the amazing 4.0 liter XR6T and I am wondering how much it would cost to get the engine, transmission and wiring here in the us I would love to put one of the amazing motors in a fox body mustang. I also have no clue on where to even begin to find someone or company to got to so I can get this beast imported here. any help would greatly be apperciated
