  1. Hey boost69, The car has been out of warranty for more than 2 years. It didn't even have warranty when I picked it up from the auction. Never had an issue with it until now. well, I filled the master cylinder reservoir to the max dot indicated on it. I didn't overfill it. But I guess it could have overflowed because of less flex in the braided lines. There was no sign of leakage until the next day. I also guess that I might have applied to much pressure on the brake pedal while I was bleeding the brakes which caused the master cylinder to leak internally into the brake booster.
  2. Hi guys, I own an ex NSW chaser 2011 FG XR6 Turbo fitted with 4 pot Brembos and pbr combo. A few days ago, I decided to fit braided brake lines and changed the brake fluid with AP Racing DOT 5.1. The next day I noticed the paint on the brake booster is pealing off right where it attaches to the master cylinder. I noticed reduction in braking performance and a constant hissing noise while driving. I can't really believe that this has happened after a brake fluid flush. So I guess its time for a new booster and master cylinder. Can anybody comment on the cost of repair and the extent of damage???

  6. I agree that Stupidity is what gets people killed, also family culture is very important too. I think families should teach their youngsters about consequences of doing stupid stuff specially when they start to drive solo. if they fail to teach them so, then they must deal with the consequences. EDUCATION IS THE WAY TO GO, NOT RESTRICTION...

Hi power_slide from what I have heard, the box can only handle up to 600 nm of torque, so a 500 rwkw XR6T should produce alot more than that and it can brake the box easily, so I think you should be concern with the torque aswell. I think a rebuilt will improve the box to handle more torque. correct me if im wrong.
  8. believe it or not, I have been to car yards with more than 2000 skylines mostly NA's. aren't you gona ask yourself why they are importing high amount of these NA's to Australia, whom to sell it to???(I mean who can be the perfect customer???) who can you limit the most??? of course P Platters. the market for these cars are very high now and actually the price of NA Skylines are rising significantly. All of us know that alot of young people prefer jap cars, so if they can’t drive their dream GTR or GTT then they would buy a NA skyline. why on earth would you buy a NA car when you can drive a turbo right away and have passion for performance cars??? if they don’t limit p platers then who is going to buy these NA's or how many of them are going to get sold??? on the other hand Japan has thousands of these skylines so they can either crush them and lose money or export them to Australia for few grands each . australian government charge for imports ,taxes and also when imported they need to be certified and registered buy government, so how much money is government going to make for each car??? also when selling it to public they charge GST. government can't care less about saving lives, they would rather rip you of for registration, insurance and etc.if they do care, they better not issue license to who ever can't drive or drivers like a lunatic.

I tell you why we have these stupid laws: the labor and Japanese government have some stupid agreement about importing as many as cars as possible from Japan. every car has to be exported or crushed after 70K or so in Japan, so the best way for both government to make some cash is to bring all of these NA skylines and etc to Australia and throw them to P platters to drive them. I know few people who import cars from Japan and one of them told me that they sell so many NA's these days and they sell faster than any other car. You can by a NA skyline for about 2500 USD in an auction in Japan and import it for 1000 AUD and sell it for about 14000 AUD(let alone registration and insurance). Do the maths and see how much you make out of that.

  13. No one said gt40 is for 1200 hp, it is for 650 hp, Garrett GT60 (1450 - 2000 hp) is the one maybe, im not really sure what Nizpro is using to boost it up. and my intelligence is non of your business
