  1. Im wondering where to buy the trim inserts I remember few years back the few guys doing carbon fibre door drim bits, replacement of around gear shifter, silver cover which went across the air vents In carbon etc anyone got ant ideas
  2. any real difference in tuning im talking more along the lines is the ba only have one sensor or does ba and bf run off the same computer, same amount of sensors etc. because I have heard the ba only has one sensor on the inlet and the bf has on the inlet and exhaust
  3. get the I think it is 4490 not the 4495 (xr6 comp version) reason why 4495 more for the 3000 to 6000 where there 4490 are for lower rev range so when you put that 100cell cat with the 2.5 or 3 inch exhaust would be perfect so 4490 with 2.5 or 3in the bigger exhaust will make the rev range move up higher wich would gain hp make sure you get bracket on the extractors so they dont crack n break trust me I know about cracking n breaking just fixed the prob
  4. hey mate ive just got off my p's im in the process of going turbo so I could possibley help you with second hand extractors but it be little bit longer I still need to get few more bibs and bobs such as boost controller dump pipe and first half of the exhaust but if you want hp gains cheap get hole saw drill in front of your air box on the bottom half. so collects air behind the head light , get k&n air filter, get xr6 turbo exhaust which is twin two half inch get it suited to match your extractors or wateva and it be like 3in exhaust be worth getting maybe two hot dogs to give it better sound maybe or muffler. great bloke I know to help would be windsor exhaust if you get set of extractors make sure they put bracket in near the extractors if you dont. sometimes exhaust guys doesnt about 12 months later you get cracks and then turn into holes. then maybe 20% lighter engine balancer. if any question give me buzz on 0404050707
  5. There is a guy I know starting a new performance shop doing ceramic coating and some powder coating. We got some ceramic coating done on our race car and they have faded. This John Guy has some new way of doing it which makes the ceramic coating and powder coating last longer And some powder coating which will help pull out the heat out of turbo and etc. He reckons it will reduce the heat in the turbo and intercooler and etc. I’ll be sending my turbo in to him to get done. He does other custom stuff as well. J and j performance in production place jamson
  6. Interior light doesnt work when I open the door but it works when I press the unlock button on the remote controller and press the dash light on the console it works
  7. what size ring did you use or sizes I still have to pull mine apart to do the set up I will do it as I do the turbo conversion as many other thing on the to do list

I have na xr6 which is in the process of being turbo'd within the next couple of weeks or so it has roughly 170 odd kws with 4.11 diff ratios and the t56 malwoods gearbox if I would do it again 3.7 would be great if I had 300kw I reakon well 1st is too short in mine I can take off in 1st 2nd o flat ground with ease not even accelerating and 3rd if I have slight down incline with little help about 2500 3000 take off easy at 110km/h 6th gear I think its off top of my 2300 revs

  11. I have na xr6 fitted with a lpg system (duel fuel). ive been thinking on all these types of turbo conversion what about purely lpg dedicated turbo. I was thinking about getting the stock lpg motor and put on turbo like we have be doing with the stock petrol motor. but what I want to know is if I did this conversion would it be reliable and two what could I revive out of my lpg system I have now and chop and change to suit to the dedicated lpg motor from my duel fuel system.
  12. I have BA NA MK2 xr6 ute and wish to convert it to fg or bf mk2 motor upgrade to it. do I have to do wiring loom for it ( add the missing bibs n bobs to wiring loom if there is any? can I use the original loom n make piggy back off it and use after market computer? what are my choices for it
  13. I am interested in the fg and bf talk aswell with engine drop I have na ba xr6 transfering to either bf series 2 or fg xr6 turbo engine.
  14. if I just buy xr6 t heater hoses flash tuner and intercooler and bibs n bobs and the motor complete motor would I need to have to adjust my loom or anything along that story. I have ba xr6 na series 2. or can I piggy off my own wiring loom as far as I know it should just be bolt it coz sensors are already there but I replace them seeing the car is apart and buy new engine mounts but in wiring wise will I have to do much or should it just plug n play after I tune it. and of course change heater hose n replace oil line to turbo with earls braided line n filter??

I have xr6 ute which ive done the bracket thing and push the disc out to 330mm I was wondering if anyone for cheaper option used gtr calipers or something along the lines with 4 piston caliper for front end and twin piston on rear. I just want to know if there bolt on or are they something I have to make new brakets for. I was going to put the on my brake spacer either way so I got 330 mm or 322 mm disc with 4 piston caliper I dont see why I have to buy 2500 grands worth brembos to do the same job. so has anyone used another bolt on caliper or done something along the lines. I was thinking on buying them and making up brakets but I was just gonna see if I can reuse my current brackets, just want to know were im at before I start making my own design of a brembo.
  16. im no car mechanic but I would say good start would be put transmax z automatic trans oil. I will make it last longer and either u or someone has given the car few hits in its time so I would say shes getting bit how u going to make it last longer put in slightly thicker fluid and when it comes up throw the geareply rs give light lift in the accelerator to change gear.

I got Na ba Xr6 4495 extractors 2.5 hi flow cat 2.5 inch exhaust 75mm throttle body 25% underdrive Growler intake crap clutch atm slips under acceleration 6 speed manual 4.11 I have 173kw at wheels after half dozen runs without a dyno tune. I also have lpg aswell so its duel fuel it ran 143kw at the wheels because the injectors or the lpg regulator is to small. it runs out puff after 3500rpm.

I have 4495 pacemaker extractors and 2.5 inch mandrel bent exhaust 75mm throttle body and it acts like turbo nothin nothin something. it comes on around 3000 rpm it needs tuning but personally pacemaker are sh*t they crack they split they u name it. they crack maily around the join of the secondaries and 3rd weld they also crack down bottom sometimes but in the respect my extractors have had few track days. they crack because they have crap weld on the joins my exhaust mate said I had look aswell and agreed, if you buy set get line of weld across the top again, because they dont have very good weld on them. the primary side has ok weld on mine but on the secondary part of the weld doesnt really cut it. to thin of weld so top up extract welding.

  21. no not originally I was going to at the start but my old man gave us hand so did he way so replace 2 and it worked fine on test run up the road and another 2 failed and so on so then replaced them all now works fine but im having problem with leaning out and I need replace belt

Im 19 bought have ba xr6 04 sept (which I bought and modified myself) I have 4495 extractors, ss indutction throttle body 75mm, 2.5 cat back, lpg, iridum sparkplugs, growler kit I took it for cruise the other day (which gave it abit of sh*t) and I started to get misfire, but im not sure it started before beating or after the beating, I bought to brand new coils and moved them through the ignition system took it for drive after 3 times I found it got better when I replace 3 and 4, but still it I would f*ck out between 2500 and 3500 and go way little, I put new spark plugs ngk iridums replacing the previous I bought about 40,000 ago denso ik22 iridum , I looked at the spark plugs after changed them and went for drive I noticed spark plugs were little white on tip I think my blown head gasket or fuked out valve guide or valve what do reakon chances of that? but 1000kms ago I did throttle body cleaner and used that oil cleaner?? my mate recommended it to me!! I swear I have bought the devils car or its the loose nut behind the wheel! I bought it from the auctions it had no brakes (air in lines), gearbox blew up after 6 months so put t56 from malwoods in it, the diff well I just put 4.11 in it, the original diff blew after 8 month the standarded diff so put xr6 turbo 31 spline in!!
  24. Has anyone carried out a diff ratio upgrade on an fg auto turbo or for that matter any turbo . im thinking of swapping out the 2,73 ratio for a 3.45 would love to hear what success if any others have had
