I have a ba mk2 xr6 turbo ute, I want to run a later computer from either bf mk1 or bf mk2. If I just change the engine harness and swap the PCM would it work or did the chassis harness change with each generation aswell. As I believe it's just engine harness which changed but If anyone has any experience with this please advise thank you.

What I have done was I pulled out my turbo out. Gave the turbo to John at Precision turbos at wetherill park. it was gt3540 with .07 front cover with new bearings put in it. I decided to buy larger wheel, once I received the wheel I got john to pull the front wheel off my turbo and fit 66mm gtx t04z front wheel on it. As to I find out to do this you have to machine the back of the compressor wheel and machine the housing back aswell as of course the front cover.

That's what I thought I'm going to do pressure test on The piping and across cooler to see if there leak again. I can't understand why it so laggy unless it's tune wise. It does seem to sound like it's got a leak. Hopefully it's something stupid otherwise can't understand why it's not working. I would have thought it would come on around 3000 aswell as my old one use to come on around 2000ish Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Do you think that be much more responsive? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I do race it aswell ATM drag only but will probably move on to under things Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

My goal well roughly want it to be just retarded in on the road. Roll on 4th and spin tyres. Which I had once before with the 3540 with the .7 cover. But I want to push close to 500/550rwkw mark. I went high mount as I kept having boost spike issues so as I could get the manifold cheap I decided to go that way As I was over the boost spiking. With the turbo side of things I wouldn't have thought so either but I worked it out it's larger turbo then 6266 I believe. Who would think 5mm larger turbo wheel would make 1500rpm laggier turbo. Especially with gtx wheel. My current turbo To4z front cover 66mm t04z gtx front wheel 81mm rear wheel Factory 1.06 rear housing with Gate welded shut. Turbos close to mine! To4z .7 cover 66mm front 74mm rear 6266 65mm front 77mm rear Gt4088 63.5mm front 88mm rear I'm tossing up on getting the 6235 what your thoughts?? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I realise that it will cause more lag now. I was Surprised it wasn't that much when I did the manifold it was like 500rpm just this turbo wheel mod killed it with 66mm wheel Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I put a 66mm gtx wheel on my 3540 and seems to be bit laggy. I would have thought it would of worked out. But apparently not it seems laggy. It's .7 compressor housing with 66mm to factory 68mm rear wheel in a the factory 1.06 rear housing. It doesn't make punchy boost till about 4000 like the factory turbo does at 2500/3000. So I'm wondering what I should do. Do I try smaller rear housing like .82 or buy new turbo like precision 6235. But I don't know if it will make the power I want. I want 450 but later probably close to 550rwkw. With boost coming on around 3000 or am I just dreaming. I've considered mta900 or 6266 but I don't know how responsive they are. So if anyone could give me some suggestions I would appreciate it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Bf mk 2 07 I bought the car it had few issues with oil leaks and I have slowly fixed it and now the premium sound screen stop working o the joys. Everything still works, radio, heating or cooling or turning one side to cold and the other heat lol. I held the volume button until it made the beep still nothing also tried to see if the screen would turn on when I volume up on the steering wheel but It didn't but when I start the car the screen flickers here and there. So I would say it something silly in the board has failed. It's would have to be what the screen gets it's feed from has failed. Has anyone pulled apart one to fix one or heard of this issue? But anyways I will probably have go anyways and have screen ready to replace. As I see it's a waste throwing out perfectly good unit just because screen decided to not work. But it's a real sh.. Because I started a new job and the to be likes having the screen work has she uses the GPS. A lot. Or is it worth throwing in the towel and buy replacement! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Down low mid range boost is about 5 psi less then normal at 3000. About 400nm torque I have lost. Boost will pick up around 4000 now . It use to pick up at 2800. Blow valve has been disconnected hoping it was the issue, idol is now rough, and will stall here and there, wastegate seems fine. Checked piping seems to look fine. Need to make up some ends up so I can pressure the cooler and intercooler pipes to prove its fine. Tommorow I'm disconnecting the waste gate actuator line so it will just keep boosting. And probably pull the wastgate apart to see if. If it's craped it self. The wastegate is only 8000kms old. Got any suggestions I'm also thinking might have skipped a tooth because of idol now playing up Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I had my tail shaft repaired by hardy spicer in moorebank Nsw. They repaired shaft which I broke. They have had the tailshaft half dozen times and still got it wrong everytime. I gave them measurements by written number even gave them photos of the places I measured off and to. I also took photos of the measurement. They made it too long and unbalance to what I thought but every time they still got it wrong. I ended up taking it somewhere else and have found that they have welded the joints not straight and they are off to the piss. Tailshaft at centre bearing was easily moving around 3 or 4 mm at 500rpm. I tried take it back to hardy spicer again before I took it somewhere else but they had told me basically well we don't have time and won't be able to help you for week or so. So my advice stay away go somewhere else. I have ended up paying this other mob to repair hardy spicer f.... Up couple hundred dollars. I now wish I just bought brand new one for the time it has taken me to try get this right and the cost it has had on my bank account to get it repaired. 5 days off and what waste f time. I wish I had the brains to buy the new one the first time any ways take it as some advice
