  1. I dont even allow people to get near my car smoking. Ewwwwww.... I've been in a few cars where the driver smoked regularly and my god.... it was an awfull experience each time. Inside the house isnt acceptabe either. Out side is fine as long as it's no where near my beloved beastie nor in the house at all.

Same here, I swear some people are just waiting for you to come along to open their door into you. Personally I always check my mirrors before opening anything at all. But the odd idiot parked halfway into the lane for one, still seems fit to swing the door all the way open when you are almost upon them. Annoyes the living sh!t out of me....

As far as I'm aware, if your in an accident and the Insurance company finds you didnt have any shoes on, your screwed. ie. no insurance payout. This was explained to me by our insurance mob and the explination was, if you have an accident and jump out of the car, what guarantee do you (or them) have you wont hurt yourself further if you walk on shattered glass, sharp rocks etc? May be BS but that's what was said to me.
  4. Cool thanks geea. I saw ms 700's xr8 filter and how it was all mounted, definate mod I'm thinking, and the center mufler removal I was told I could have it flanged for about 130 here in wagga. Would love to chip the car, but am really only looking at a little more efficientcy and the warranty factor and my instrance company would wipe their hads of me if I chipped it. They said brakes, air and exhaust (as long as they are legal) would be the only mods they would insure me for.
  5. I believe you need premium sound with the colour display?
  6. I'd come along but I'll be flagging at the Bathurst 24hr that day. Sorry man
  7. Heres my fill of pictures at zadank.com http://zadank.com/index.php?main=freakotro...03&dispsize=640 Not quite as nice a gallery script as arrons, but it does the job. Huge thanks and hugs out to Kitty for suggesting the meet and making it possible, Was an excelent day. Plonky..... dear o deary me man, you really need to kerb the locals in your area so this dosent happen again Ken you butt was missed, I copped most of the flack (with style I might add) for Team HgAg, Although I could really have used some pointers being only a junior member  Now to get some Aloe Vera into these very red arms of mine, I swear it didnt seem like the sun was in that much force today. Thanks to all the guys who showed up, and yes it's great to put names to faces, but even better was the rubbernecking from the general public as we cruised to the lake . I also thought the sound of all of us taking off from the lights at the same time in unison sounded awesome. After swinging down to the car wash to clean the mob of packed on bugs on the dank beast, I think I picked up twice as many as well as a crow, on the way back. Fortunately the crow didnt mark or hurt my baby, but man did it give me a fright, one trying to avoid it by heavy breaking (no one around me, and no I'm not silly enough to swerve and do some major damage only for a bird) but the heavy thud it made on the front of the car. Not bad I think, that's 2 birds this week. Is this a sign? I had a packet of fun, can't wait for another M&G or cruise. Me's now off to bed for a big week at work *yawn*
  8. Looks like it will be just me for this trip. I'm heading up tonight seeing the bucks night was yesterday If we're going to the lunch I guess I'll be there See you all tomorrow. *skids off*
  9. I know this is well past the voting stage. Is mine any better now Ken?

Heres another one, my bro on his green p's got booked for not having them prominately displayed. He had at the time a Nissan Blubird Wagon, and had no less than 2 green p inserts in the window. To me they were in a great and easy to see spot, but when he was fined the copper said that they were illegal, he should have the normal ones next to the rego plate. The thing that pissed my brother off even more was that, after he paid the 60 odd dollar fine and lost 2 points, he went to the RTA website which had a picture of a P plater with, you guessed it, only inside window P plates, and none next tot he rego plates What gives ponch? **edit: ask ponch chris, not plonky**
  12. If I did decide to take on the phase II do you think the manual box would handle it? or a grenade waiting to happen if pushed?
  13. Been frightened though. 2 Mods I'd like to do the the beastie are a cold air intake and a larger exhaust. I rang APS and they explained that I need to buy the whole of the Phase II kit if I wanted the larger intake and exhaust to prevent fuel cut. Whilst I understand that, my insurance company wont cover a chipped car, but they will tollerate the exhaust and the intake. Warranty was my other concern as well. So I rang Herrod's and got a quote and guarantees that I wont have any problems but I had to sit down at the fitted price. 700 for the intake and 1300 for the exhaust. Do you guys think I should head down this path or do something else. Mainly I'm going for a little omre efficientcy and if I gain a few extra ponies along the way so be it, but geez.... Or did I budget for this all wrong? or could you suggest something else that looks like the pro's did it?
  14. So what revs for each gear? any one figured that out?
  15. It's good knowing a detailer. Drove him and his missus down to the races yesterday and back again. Now I get a free clean, vaccum, shampoo, and full polish. My baby should be all sparkley and clean for the wedding I've been asked to drive for on saturday, and as long as there isnt too many damn bugs on the way from Wagga to Canberra.
  16. This is still going ahead isnt it? Just making plans for the weekend and want to make sure that all still going ahead as planned.
  17. When you really, really have to make up for something small?
  18. I've found these things to be death traps waiting to happen. Along Ginenderra Drive in Canberra there are 3 red light / speed cameras along this road. About 7 or so months ago I was a witness to a horrific crash on the one before the lake bridge. A lady in an EB falcon sedan was travelling about 3 or 4 car lengths in front of me in the outside lane, I was on the inside. When the lights changed I had a lot more breaking distance than she did so I stopped quite easily. She however slammed on the breaks when she really would have made it through the yellow light. The truck behind her planted his after she did but of course crumpled the rear of her car almost upto the driver and passenger seat. Thank god now one was in the back seat cause they would have been dead for sure. I think that if the camera had not have been there she would have continued through. Anyways, in some cases they are good, but often set far too strictly, or at least the public isn't educated in how they work at all, just that their revenue raisers. I think they should have some sort of campain telling everyone what they do and HOW soon you get pinged. I have also seen so many people just accept the fines they get even though there were serious circumstances at the time, eg my example above, truck stuck up my arse, how the hell was I supposed to stop safely? my 2.2c
  19. The link http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/south_asia/3211084.stm Maybe some of them ricers should try this
  20. There you go, I've uploaded mine. This was a photo of me in the Daily Advertiser about 4 weeks ago in the IT section. The paper rang the CSU asking for contact details of one of their more successfull students for a story. I answered a few questions, they took a shot and then I'm on 3/4rs of a frigging page. Oh well.... such is being popular and successfull  The caption said 'Keep them Trucking' seeing as I'm IT manager for Hartwigs Trucks here in Wagga Wagga
  21. Mmmmm...I think I got ripped off What I was worried about is getting up in time to drive to Canberra in the morning. I might get the dank Fairy to drive *gasp* If I'm not feeling too well in the morning
  22. What about me?
  23. I saw an AU done like this in Canberra on the weekend. Looked good although I"m sure it would look better on a BA B)
  24. DOH!!!!!! My mate is having his Bux night on the night of the 8th. Should I drink lightly and meet up with you guys? or give it a miss till next time?
  25. Hmmmm just had a thought (and yes it DID hurt ) The sales men from both Hillis and Biti Motors said that the fanbelt should be a piece of cake to fix and that the roadside guys should have spares and be able to fit it on the spot? How come they need your car for so long to fit it then?
