Same problem here. Some of the people here at work who (apparently) worked for a ford dealership at some point only made sure the car tracks forward. Surely not but when I got my car wheel aligned my tyres were like so Front / | \ / Back So only one wheel spot on. Anyways, get a third party to do it. Much less painful. And do it now because one of my mates here bought an xr6 ute and scrubbed out his tyres in 2500 kilometers. He was pissed to say the least when he was up for a new set so early. I'm not sure if he got Ford to replace it or not though. I'll call him and let you know.

Could we manage to get a download of the movie taken with us all on the Wall of the Dam please?

that's a classic. Dag's we need to change Ken's avartar Trumpy, what can I say..... That was freaking sweet Was great to meet HgAg's illustrious leader, same with every one else. Was interesting to see how other people had changed their cars to suit them and even better to see them drive. Even dankdaddy loved it.... I had to wrestle him for the keys at the power station after I let him drive between the pitstop just inside the national park and Murray 1  I've got a heap of photos, but I'll have to get that camera of dad first before I can throw them up here. We had loads of fun, even if I took a few thousand k's off the tyres. I'm definately off to Biti Motors for another set of disks tomorrow. Sorry we had to turn to tumut at instead of following you back to cooma. My brother had broken down just short of Golburn so we had to make a mad dash to help him out. I've attached a pic. I'm very supprised at how well the turbo went. The trailer we had started to sway at 100, so I kept the speed at 95. 4th gear all the way back to Wagga. 11.8L/100km I was gob smacked. Normally the car down that run is lucky to get 10.1L/100km. I'm stuffed but work needed me this morning. After a 3am start on Sunday morning, I got home at 1am This morning

I'll be leaving Wagga tomorrow morning and heading the Tumut route. Krash could you let them know please, I'll be leaving super early tomorrow morning. I aim to be there about 8am. See ya there.

Last post on this I swear  Cro, a thousand thanks. I had a poke around last night in the back of the car, I was thinking of using the 12V DC line on the sub amp, it seems to be there until the car shuts itself down after 5 minutes of being locked. Although I think I'd prefer the idea of tapping off the Mobile phone socket in the back of the fuse box. Seeing as I have to run the head cable that shouldnt be a prob. I've mounted the unit up under where the sat nav would be so that people cant see where it is, and mounted the arial on the boot..... Just gotta run the two cables to the front of the car now. Trumpy, Might wanna copy these posts to another thread and make it a sticky for the cruises part of the forum? Thanks for your help guys. I'll be there for certain now as well, with or without the Mishy!

Cro, wanted to know.... I figured I'd break the piggy bank and spluge on a UHF split with the arial clamped to the boot as you suggested. What I wanted to know was, did you clamp the arial to the boot it self or to the side of it? Also I figure I'll put the base unit in the spot where the sat nav would normally go. Is there power there already? Or di I still need to run a cable from the front of the car? I'm hoping the wiring loom for the ford sat nav is there anyway, saving me a lot of work. Thanks in advance sir.

Thanks trumpy.... that would save a lot of stuffing around :banghead: Still waiting for the Mishtress to give the go ahead to come along. How long a drive is it from Canberra. I'm thinking so that I dont get lost, and so that I have a little more Optimax in the tank to meet you guys up there.

Cro, just your thoughts or anyone who may shed some light on the subject..... I really dont want to drill holes in my baby, and also have a loan of a CB from work. I was wondering if you think I'd still get a decent reception if I mounted the antenna in place of the tow ball on the back or the car? I can get the areial cable to the back of the car no troubles, just wanted to make sure I'd at least get some sort of reception from that low on the back of the car?

Oh come on ken....... It's about time I met the HgAg leader? 'Take me to your dealer'

There really is no free to air over there.... you have to have a license to use a tv.... pfffft

Yay... A whole 140 posts for me today

I'l definately be there now, as long as the Mishtress (yes it's her nick name ) can finish work early saturday arvo. From wagga it looks like a 3 and a half hour trip via Tumut from Wagga unless any one else can suggest a quicker alternate route. If she cant guarantee the arvo off... unfortunately I wont be able to make it. 9 or 10 hours driving would kill me I'm sure

Sorry to inform you guy's but I'm curious to know what calibrations your dealers are using. At this present point in time the updated calibrations haven't even left FOMOCO. I rang the Biti Motors yesterday and they said that they still havent recieved their updates for the WDS yet either. They also said that because my break shudder is comming back and that Ford still havent comissioned the disk skimmer there that they would replace my disks when I come in as well
-
Trumpy, Put me down as a provisional for now. Are there any other people heading that way from Wagga or heading up via tumut? Would be great to hear and meet ya's?

FBT year ends at 31st of March Hehehehee.... My one I anticipated 20000kms for the year..... I've calculated my annualised kilometers and it's over 43000kms. My percentage drops from 22% of the value of the car down to 7%. Nice big refund from work coming as long as I didnt spend too much on fuel

When I was in Japan this time last year, Most of the lights in Tokyo had a similar system. It had 5 lights that switched off for every 10 seconds that elapsed..... was a nifty idea I thought. They also had this for the predestrians. And those annoying tunes when the waking light was green.... was a bit different to the Beeping for the blind on lights here.

Damn you Dagabond! First Titanic... now this!!!!!

My only damage to my car was whilst parked at the star city casino a few weeks ago. I'm freaking spewing and still trying to figure out how the hell they did it with out hurting any other part of my car. When I got back to the car the alarm beeped 3 time instead of 2 telling me that the alarm had gone off. Checked the error code and it said the shock sensor had gone off. Looked about and didnt see any hand marks on the car. Then I noticed a small piece of runner sitting next to the rear passenger wheel. Had a look and some how they managed to take 3 nick chunks out of the Mag it self. It's in a straight line and looks like what ever it was was dragged across the mag onto the rubber and took out part of the side wall. :kissmy:

Took the dank mobeele in for a service on Tuesday and according to the manager there the update is on it's way, although they normally wait for upto 2 weeks before loading it inito the WDS. They said the reason for this I s that by that stage Ford Australia have put out minor updates to fix anything that doesnt work in the disks straight from the US. So for me my update wont happen till I get back from the Gold Coast mid next month.

From http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,2-20040...4031766,00.html Nicked for doing 406mph By PHILIP CARDY DRIVER Peter O’Flynn was stunned to receive a speeding notice claiming a roadside camera had zapped him — at an astonishing 406MPH. The sales manager, who was driving a Peugeot 406 at the time, said: “I rarely speed and it’s safe to say I’ll contest this.” Officials last night admitted it was a clerical bungle, but insisted he would still be prosecuted. Peter was driving the courtesy car while his own was being repaired. A garage worker phoned to tell him he had been nicked for speeding. Peter added: “He said, ‘Are you sat down, you’ve been caught at quite a speed — 406mph’. I thought it was a wind-up.” The Peugeot 406 Sport has a top speed of 129mph. But when he saw the letter it confirmed that he had been exceeding the 60mph limit in Runcorn, Cheshire at 406mph. Peter said: “I don’t see how anyone can trust this camera.” But the Cheshire Safety Camera Partnership, which issued the fine, said they would still take action despite the blunder. A spokesman said they would be applying to magistrates for a summons. --- Even better was the commentary from The Register http://www.theregister.co.uk/content/28/35014.html Speed camera clocks motorist at 406 mph By Lester Haines Posted: 21/01/2004 at 10:35 GMT Since we Brits already hold the land speed record as a result of jet-powered Thrust SSC going supersonic in 1997, it seems only natural that we should attempt to be the first nation to break the sound barrier with a petrol-driven reciprocating-engined vehicle. That at least appears to be what sales manager Peter O’Flynn was attempting when clocked at an impressive 406mph (653kmph) by a speed camera in Cheshire. The achievement becomes even more admirable when we learn that Peter was at the time at the controls of a humble Peugot 406, until now thought to have a top speed of 129mph. Heroic Peter is modest about his tremendous effort, insisting: "I rarely speed and it’s safe to say I’ll contest this." Officials, however, say Mr O’Flynn still faces prosecution despite the obvious attack of insanity which afflicted it speed (sorry, safety) camera. This superb piece of bureaucratic madness is just the latest chapter in the ongoing saga of the government's war against speeding motorists. We look forward with eager anticipation to police slapping the cuffs on the first OAP to reach hypersonic velocities in a battery-powered disabled buggy. ®
