  1. I noticed a phantom XR6 Turbo in Whit Colar Blue last night as well, although it only featured in 3 shots while they were staking out a funeral.
  2. I couldnt believe it, was due to get my car on thursday this week. Toll apparently left my car in the lot to bring up a full truck load of GT Persuit Utes! and now my car wont show up at the dealership till friday making delivery early next week after they do the pre-delivery :( I must pay homage to whoever bought all those GT's all citric acid but carn guys.
  3. My first little car was a suziki Hatchback. I bought it for 3k bearly 7 years ago when it only had 35,000 on the clock. The clutch was farked. When I replaced it I didnt have to touch it at all for the next 4 years as my bro's and sisters had it to learn to drive in as well over nearly 250,000 k. When I bought it I was niaeve and the guy had me going that using the gears to slow was what killed it and why he wanted to get rid of it. I have since found out that the clutch was rooted cause he used it to hold the car in the one position at the lights ON HILLS. I was taught by my dad and I passed on to my bro's and sisters that you must use the gears to help slow down, every little bit helps especially in an emergency. Never had a problem and to this day the suzi still has the origional clutch I put in it. My next car my poor old EA had the same fault as the suzuki, the guy I bought it off lived on a hill and instead of doing handbreak starts he rode the clutch like there was no tomorrow. Had it replaced in 3 days and a lot of money later :( But now that I have sold it 5 years later only headache I had was a broken clutch cable. Maybe that's wht people really mean, for the manuals at least, is that you shouldnt ride the clutch to hold the car in the one spot especialy on inclines, when the brakes will do??? My 2c My god I'm a nerd
  4. Own my own computing consulting company and also am the IT manager for a multimillion dollar Trucking company, looking after 5 campuses and far too many computers for me to count by my self. Big job. Always looking for that next geeky toy or gadget or phone and what have you. Flag/Spectator control/Scrutineer/Grid Marshal at most V8 Races in NSW and Vic Service my own cars and laugh at my mates who break down and depend on me to help them out when in the middle of nowhere instead of the NRMA (damn cheap uni students  ) Pretty much an even mix between the 2 slightly heavier on the geeky side though. My new T due in the next 7 days..... am extremely anxious to get my hands on my new baby
  5. ahhh ok, so panic stations isnt all that necessary yet :D Whew, On a side note, Just spoke to my dealer too, thursday next week! W00T! 7 more wrestless nights, more duty free for the weekend me thinks.

    I Need Help

I am the systems administrator at work. Very unfair of me to be browsing this  Carefull with the citrix though, we capture screens on the local pc to see what the particular person is doing (of course only in EXTREME circumstances and no productivity from the user) and I've noticed a few people trying this method as well watching the pr0n and other naughty activities like spending all day forwarding joke email's and running personal businesses on company time. A big NO NO in the bosses eyes.
  10. Definate mod for the Dank Mobeele when it finally arives. Two weeks to go now
  11. Yes it would make a difference to the speedo. With regard to traveling you'd more than likely have a hard time starting the car rolling without burning out all the time. Only other thing I can think of is making sure the offsets are the same, you'd hate to do some damage I'm sure
  12. I would go except I havent got my car yet *cries* 20th August before I get mine..... I'm on my 11th bottle of Duty free. Only 5 to go
  13. Damn it, I want my car now! Guess I still have to wait... no fair
  14. here here, as long as mine is delivered by then would be a great idea

    My Baby

/me *drools* *dreamy look* If that's what my baby will look like I cant wait! 3 or 4 weeks to go :(
  16. I was thinking, to add a little more style to the car (if that is indeed possible) does any one know if you can purchase the foglight surrounds on from the GT? I know it's a pain to try and get anything GT related, but surely if you could get something even similar, it should in my opinion have some room for a protector? Ideas peoples?
  17. Wagga NSW here! Have seen a few others getting around town of late as well.... Still waiting for mine though :(
  18. Well a bit of a mixed bag and a long story. Had Cumberland ford quote. Almost accepted the quote for 42 grand with all my options, no one come close. 48k was about the best, I found out that he quoted me on the N/A not the turbo Test drove the XR6 N/A here in wagga and was excelent. The local Ford dealer eventually got a Turbo but it was only an Auto. No one was really interested in helping me find a manual to test drive. One of my customers got a N/A XR6 Manual and I took it for a spin and fell in love with it. As much as the SSS is cool, it still , to me anyways, feels like a glorified Auto, I could still feel a hesitation when changing gears. I like to know that I have full control of the car, plus its a lot more fun Nearly had the car early this month but the finance company screwed me around (I'm getting a novated lease and missed some paperwork they told me) so the dealer swapped the one he would have sold me for an August build. From what I've seen you guys you should try a country dealer, all of them could guarantee at most one month waiting time if you needed the car modded from what they had on the lot. Mine is now comming from Biti Motors in Culcairn, about 45 minutes drive from Wagga.
  19. Well as they say on talk back radio, "Long time reader, First time poster" Sold my old '88 EA Fairmont Ghia and am anticipating the arrival of my new 'T'! Apparently it's due to be built early next month. BA XR6 Turbo Mercury Silver Manual (Who the hell would buy a sports car and want it as an auto?!?!? ) Premium Audio External audio input Tow Pack Boot liner Mud spats XR Carpet Mats XR Scuff plates (although I might grab a set of fordxr6turbo.com ones later ) Bonnet protector Headlamp guards Pollen Filter Dark window tinting Alarm (must have I think) And the icing on the cake, personalised plates. Bought a portable dvd/mp3 player in Japan when I was there on holidays and I have just he place to mount it, save me 2 grand Cant get enough of this, but the wait is about to kill me. I've been reading the site on and off for about 3 months now. I must say it's a great source of info and has helped me in a few decisions about the car in general. Keep up the good work guys.
