If u r handy will save u some dollars obviously. Is it a single zone or dual zone? Single all cool I think, dual has to go to ford to "setup" I think, others with more experience can confirm wether this is true though. I'm after a repair manual also......

Start working - the heat may start working again, it didnt 4 me, others it has. How much - if u take it to Ford, shaft around $50 4 part, HIM around $500, labour grrrrrrrrr. U would get quoted over $1000 if it is the HIM. If u do get it done and it is the HIM, suggest while at it to replace the shaft. Others have done it themselves by pulling the dash out, depends on how handy u r.

Mate I feel 4 u as I am in the same vote as u!!! When u swap btwn hot and cold, do u hear the motor whining? If so most likely air mixer shaft broken, dash out job to replace it. If u dont hear any motor whining noises most likely the unit called a HIM. This is expensive and connects to the air mixer shaft. Once again dash out job. Sorry to say. Just about all the cases, it is one of the parts. Dont be suprised if it starts working again..... if it does looks like faulty HIM

I get no whine when I turn the dial, anyone know what this means? Everything else works, ie AC, interior external air, face feet etc. Cheers

When I swap btwn hot and cold I dont hear the "sucking" swapping motion. Any hear this when I tutn the ignition on. Is this pointing to anything in particular?

My heat has stopped and has never come back on, ie not intermittent. Anyone know wot it may be? HIM? I can feel the "rod" and it is not broken, should this move when swapping btwn hot and cold, coz it doesnt move it all. Maybe the cogs inside the HIM is broken? Cheers

It is just out of warranty now... prob my last time I get it serviced from them. If they charge reasonable price and dont overcharge on oil, I may be lenient on them. But from now on may go to a Ultratune or something in that line. -

sorry I meant $80 for oil, then add parts and labour on top of that. Think last time they charged about $130 for a service - labour and parts (I supplied the oil). Cheers -

Car has only done 15000 kms do I need a fully synthetic, I just used 10w-30 which I think is semi synthetic... -
Hi Have to get my BA XR6 NA in for service. Wot have u been charged for oil from the service? I know alot of the Ford service centres use different oils so hard to compare, but just after some figures. Wanna know if it is worthwhile to get my own oil and save a few dollars. If thery charge 80 - 100 bucks may as well get my own. Just wanna use a 10w-30..... Cheers

As the title says have a very slight knock in the back end, seems to be driver side back I think. Only occurs when going slow (10 - 30kms), generally over a bump or rough surface (not always though) and in most cases when turning a corner. Dont think it occurs when driving in straight line. Initially thought something loose in the boot, but that isnt the cause... anyone have any possible things to check? Cheers

When I swap between cool and hot I cannot hear any sucking noises at all, come to think of it I think when it was working, maybe there was a distinct noise when swapping over. Maybe mine is a hose issue then, not electronics or mechanical? Wife did say it did stop working after I steam cleaned the car, coincidence???? Cheers

Looks like my audio button is dicky.... I always have it on so I never press it off or on. On the 5 or 6th press (of the audio button) it comes on, why it doesnt on the 1st press I have no idea. The button seems and feels fine, will try and leave it on always now and never take the battery off again (impossible I know). Thanks.

Hi Have taken the battery off the car (BA XR6NA), put back on now the stereo says AUDIO OFF and just flashes the time, no matter wot I do cannot get it to go. I know in the BA's there is no code anymore the HU should verify with the PCM and let it work, but it will not. The stereo is the pre4mium 6 cd stacker and totally stock and never been touched at all. Cannot find any posts on this problem, anyone have any suggestions? Cheers

When I swap from hot to cold air should I hear any noises, think I read somewhere where I should here noises whereby it is trying to change from one to the other. When it was working, I paid no attention to any noises.....

Damm the same issue has just occurred to me. Wife reckons it stopped working after I steamed cleaned the car, coincidence I reckon. Trying to work out if I have knocked a hose or something off, cannot find anything at this stage, so it may be an issue in behind the dash. Anyone have any luck getting it fixed out of warranty, covered by Ford. My car is less than 4 years old and done stuff all kays.
