  3. Thanks for all your help, I will take it to a tuner next week. In the mean time, I will drive it like a pensioner!!
  4. Is there a way to check if its been tuned before? Can I tune it back to stock without buying a capa tuning device??
  5. I dont think its the gauge, as its pulling very hard and you can hear the turbo spooling loud. Didnt do that before
  6. I will have to test the actuator swing freely myself, as I can only go by what the mechanic said. She is flying when I hit boost. I driving it without hiting boost as I dont want to break anything. There is no rough feel before or after boost
  7. Hi, I have a stock (not tuned) BA xr6 turbo. Recently I noticed that my boost gauge was hitting around 15PSI. I took the car to the local mechanic / dyno place, he check the car and said “looks like your boost solenoid is faulty”. He said that he got the air compressor and put little amount of air to the actuator & it move fine. He bypassed the solenoid and connect the pipe from the turbo direct to the actuator. Then I was getting 6-7PSI. I bought a new Boost Solenoid and replaced the old one and reconnect the pipe back to normal. I get 14 – 15PSI. So then I did the bypass and connect the vac pipe from the turbo direct to the actuator, I get 10-12PSI…. Ive check for air leaks but couldnt see any. Can someone suggest what’s going on with my car and how can I fix it. Thanks
  8. Thanks, car has no mods. I will have to check the fuel pump and injectors. Don't think it's the starter as it starts then stalls in 1 to 2 secs. Sometimes it's ok, no problems and other times I have to start it 5 times!
  9. Hi, I having a problem starting ba 2004 turbo when warm. When cold I have no problem. Car starts, drives, all ok. Then when I turn it off and try to start it again, it starts then low revs, then it turns off. I need to press the accelerator to hold the revs, then put it in drive. I have replaced the TPS and cleaned the TB, I have new plugs and coils and a new battery! Any help would be great!! Thanks Mark
