  1. my nephew has a sweet as r32 GTR. goes like stink. saved up the 40k to buy it too. his daily is an fg ute with 350rwkw. he's 23. having no girlfriend/ family has benefits...
  2. b series use some weird size in the doors too, but you can get off the shelf adapters to accept 6 or 6.5" speakers, so theres heaps of choice. google reviews on the size/ type speakers you want to get an idea of what ranks highly. dont just buy brand name because it wont mean they will automatically be good. https://www.caraudionow.com/best-value-6-5-component-car-speakers/ split system speakers will have a better sound than coaxials, or even 3 ways. but a bit more work to install as you have to replace the tweeter as well as main speaker, plus theres a crossover box to fit in the door somewhere too. in general the higher sensitivity a speaker has, the louder it will play with the wattage available. eg a 98db/w will play louder than a 93db/w on the same head unit. so take note when selecting speakers. hope this helps
  3. if you want to learn and get heaps of ideas, spend a few (dozen) hours on this site. I learned so much over the years trawling there. https://www.diymobileaudio.com/forum/ and for super cool installs check out this section: https://www.diymobileaudio.com/forum/build-logs-project-install-gallery/
  4. me! I'm not going. cant wait to not go.
  5. me neither. except ill be raped if anything goes wrong with it. that's my main concern.
  6. not a late model per se, but an option to replace my Touareg. whats your thoughts on something like this anyone? sorry to steal your thread fluff, but its still on topic. boot me off if you like... https://www.carsales.com.au/cars/details/BMW-X5-2012/OAG-AD-16428567/?Cr=1
  7. you want ugly? drove one of these around california last year. great car to tour in, but yuck.
  8. and at least we now know russian beauty queen pregnant with king of malaysia sultan something something....
  9. DOOO EEEET! I love the euro stuff. I'm thinking about getting one of these in about 6 months when its time to change the work car. The R Line has a twin turbo Diesel V8. how does 800nm and 0-100 in 5.8 sound? not bad for a 2.5 tonne SUV. not to mention 9.5L/100km. and can still tow 3.5 tonne. I already have had this model for a couple years, but the v6 diesel model. it is fantastic. not as ritzy as a beemer (la di da!) but man euro stuff is miles ahead in NVH.
  10. @Rab ha ha that's what kid's club is for.... I'm doing nothing too...
  11. do it @JETURBO theyre so good. dani will love it as shell have to do nothing..... nothing.
  12. been so busy recently- just hit me that in just over 3 weeks ill be on this for a week & 1/2:
  13. What is it with no one using punctuation recently? it's painful to read. You sure the cooler pipework hasn't just popped off? all symptoms except weird noise. check the easy stuff and work up.
  14. hi mate, welcome to the forum. theres a few things you can do increase power- but you wont feel too much difference. my advice would always be to trade up to a turbo. bigger single outlay up front, but in the end prol cheaper. remember a well modded N/A might almost make the same power as a stock turbo. if your lucky. also have a browse through the N/A section- youll find heaps of guys that have chased power from a non turbo barra. eg: https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/80448-xr6-na-cheap-mods/
  15. install 10mm poly spacers above your spring top rubber?
  16. until something major breaks- then see what youd rather have... theres a reason some on here have seriously considered going the (ridiculously) relatively cheap second hand bmw M series, merc amg's etc. but ended up steering clear. even relatively simple consumables (brakes for example) will hit you hard, and if an engine pops- will send you broke. better cars? absolutely. but the performance the barra turbos bring for a pittance are what keeps bringing people to the ford camp....
  17. about to eat roast pork- been on the combustion heater for a few hours. crackling, apple sauce, roast potatoes, caramelized carrots. my missus is a gem...
  18. 4" dump- twin 3.5" cat- then twin 2.5"
  19. I went twin 3.5" side by side- fits nice- not too low and supports 350rwkw fine.
  20. lol when my son was 18 he used to just about do that. and a litre of milk. hes settled down a bit now, but at one point we were going through 18 litres of milk a week (for a family of 5). I spose I could have cut down on the amount of lattes I was making though...
  21. 4" dump will be future proof. do it. I found twin 2.5 exhaust system to be good for keeping drone at bay. great flow too. once again future proof (to a point). I went twin 3.5" cats side by side. easily supporting 360ish rwkw
