im in the process of building my new house. just finished the garage: 4 car, 3m ceilings, built in overhead cupboards, downlights, pearl feature wall- colour coded to my car. sweet as. we are living in it at the moment while building the rest of the house- the caravan is in there- but after, im putting in a 2 post hoist. cant wait.

my best mate has a sweet as au series 111 220kw xr8. liquid silver. sounds 10 times better than my t. good sorst and flash and it may squeeze 250rwkw. the last of the 'proper' xr twin headlight fronts...... muscular.

cant agree. xforce seem to make a good system, but for the price its quite thin gauge and a bit tinny. mild stell sounds deeper and more substantial. my redback is great- and no drone at any speed....

pedders do lowered springs to 'legal' height. ive got standard xr springs on front and pedders 'low' on rear. looks low enough with 20's... quality of aftermarket is fine. I have copies on my ef.

get on need for speed underground 2, and muck around with the colours and vinyl layers. should be plenty of inspiration there...

factor at least 3k for a good rebuild and stallie. 2800rpm is spot on

upgrade to a bf 2- why? ford sell new bottom ends for about 2.5k. dont think youd change over for less than 6 times that. 4-5k will get you a new bottom end, and some chunky rods (read 450rwkw capable) all installed and tuned. if your injectors are dekkas, and you have a walbro pump you can join the 400+ club.

so is there a way of finding out what a bottom end is from an engine number?

you gotta remember that this car was developed early in the whole xr6t mod era. a bit of a pioneer. the plenum would be an early experiment, but obviously works.....well. I remember drooling over this car long before I had one..... I reckon the original owner sold it for near 50k at the time... -
