id be shocked if someone didnt have this info easily on hand. hopefully the right person sees this thread. the info and advice on this forum will most of the time be spot on, but expect the maturity level to be
  2. I dont want +38. nah emailed them and they assure me they are +25. they are generically made at +20. they have milled 5mm off. should have piccies tomorrow if the rain holds off (sunroof is still out).
  3. update- was having a close look at the rear rims and noticed they have 'offset +20' stamped on the back. I thought they looked a bit pokey on the trial fit- hard though cause the suspension is raised and the camber is opposite to what it will be when the car is on the ground.. have emailed the supplier to see what they say...
  4. not normally with new tyres. after a few thousand k's when they begin feathering they start singing to you.... but yeah budget 20's will be alot noisier and harsher than factory 17's.
  5. thanks aaron, my address to send them is.... wheel studs was the quickest and easiest way. I knocked the old ones out and put standard ones in in 45 mins. I already have black spline drive nuts and want too use them too... incidently I have sets of spacers now if anyone is keen...
  6. tempted, and would have had I not been able to source some quickly, but im trying to not be a dodgy bastard any more....
  7. wheels arrived today from Mars Performance- super quick (they actually came yesterday, but I wasnt home to receive them), and good communication. quality looks good, but because they get them blank and bore the PCD/ offset, the holes are raw, not painted. the raw back face doesnt bother me, but the holes would be nice painted... did a test run at my local bob jane- (mt barker- the guys are always willing to help me out). fitment looks good. I couldnt get the tyres from my current rims fitted though as I had previously installed long high tensile studs to suit my slip over 20mm spacers on the front, and my spline drive nuts bottomed out before clamping the wheels. so off to ford to get new standard studs. they had a couple old hubs from a ba they just replaced so knocked the studs out, handed em over and said to drop in a 6 pack when I get chance. champions.... now booked in for friday arvo to have everything changed over.
  8. might be an old davies craig unit- sounds like its going to take off. what type of temp switch should I use- the ones with the temp probe that goes in the fluid line? or put a T inline for an engine temp type switch?
  9. im running a fan on my trans cooler too- the things so damn noisy though. thinking of putting a temp sensor module on it to turn it on and off. is that a good idea? or is it just best to be on all the time. my BTR needs all the help it can get to stay in one piece...
  10. nah I actually preferred what ive ordered, but they dont come in +20 which was what I wanted for the front, so had a look at the sf06's. on closer measuring I def dont want further out then +25. so my original choice is all good
  11. one of the Mars wheels is Koya- I was thinking about these but rears out of stock until end Sept... from Koya website...
  12. "look that guy has simmons- he must be rolling in it..." quote from 1990.
  13. yeah simmons are cheap now. not for me though.
  14. rears are rolled and subsequently pumped about 10mm. fronts rolled too. just a Mars wheel. they were the only retailer I found that offered wheels in a 'range' of offset- this one in particular could do fronts +25 to +38 and rears +20 to +38. and anywhere in between. cost under 1600 delivered to my door.
  15. I actually can get torqu3 in a custom plate- but at 200 bucks a year thought I might mix it up a bit?
