Any one else got any opinions on this? I need to decide by tomorrow what I will be putting in rather be a coopers ( only filter I know of that's e85 comparable and will fit standard fitting) or going a aftermarket max 10micron Like stated in the thread above...
I have asked this before but what fuel filters are people using with e85? I have a bf ute and I know a few people are using the coopers replacement but I can't find enough info on it be comfortable. Ideally I'd like to not have to cut lines etc but if I have to so be it. Thanks, Jay
Not quite that bad freeze the fitting kit can be made for around 120+ wiring.(thermostat housing $25, top hose $25, 8xstuds $40, vacuum fittings $30. It's not a terribly bad rip off
Also I'm making up the studs needed for this installation in stainless if anyone needs some while I'm at it? Exact same as the ones from nizpro only better. Engineering studs 8x38mm
Thermostat housing- W049 Kilkenny castings product (EB 4L) Radiator top hose- 05-0919 gates product (EF 5L bottom hose) Ralph on plaz piping it is connected behind the fog light so the loom can be hidden under the radiator. Aaron that is going to look awesome I'm still deciding whether to paint it or not. Did you buy yours before this sale? Looks like yours is just unpainted and ours is actually 'raw'. Also did you buy that rocker cover setup off Scott?
Aaron are you keeping the 'turbo intercooled'? Ms no hassles it really is pretty easy. I used a impact driver to get the old manifold bolts out as they were f*ckin tight. Do you have access to a right angle drill? If you have read the online instructions there's not much in it
Yep it did Aaron but not quite that bad. The grinding was terrible looked like the grinder skipped and there was dips everywhere. I did email Simon from nizpro back but he just said that's how they are. To be honest I wasn't very impressed, everyone raves about nizpro products but I would never buy anything of their's again.
It's a bit more restricting than the standard one but yeh hopefully works well. Nah I've got plazmaman piping so no need for the adapter. It's 80 grit at the moment lol still a fair bit of work to do.
There's a quick pic of everything just sitting in place. I ended up changing the hose to a ef 5l bottom hose. The eb hose fit with a bit of trimming but was a bit to kinked for my liking. The ef hose needed some slight trimming also.
Haha that sucks. Nah I put it together for a test fit then took it back off for sanding. Once it's finished and back on I will take some pics and put them up. Or I could chuck up a half finished pic tomorrow
Oh really maybe the cast or maching is a bit out. Not good. I'm half way through smoothing and polishing eb housing to match my polished lower housing. Hopefully it will look nice once everything is back together
As nizpro had a big sale on plenums for ba/f this month I think a few people will be in the same boat as me. I couldn't justify spending 300 on the fitting kit when most of it was easy to come by cheap except for the thermostat housing (which they will not sell seperatly). After a lot of hunting around for another option I nearly bought a Aeroflow universal swivel type and just would of had to tap in a barb for the reservoir I came across older fords that appeared to have the same bolt spacing. Anyway after several different repco's and supercheap's I found that the housing off a ea/eb will fit and its at a right angle to a ba housing so it's well out of the way. The resevoir barb remains in the same place and the eb top hose also fits up nicely also. Hope this helps someone Jay,
