The cars a freak Adam...and bloody Rusty can drive the sh!t.

LOL. I just found that Rusty in the manual was spooled up before me and always had the jump. Once I spooled back up I'd pull away but then hed get me again. Manually changing fixed that a bit. I also dont like it when pulling hard out of a corner that the auto kicks down. Manual mode removes that a bit. I just miss having a clutch.

I used to leave it in perf mode but I found Rusty always had the jump on me, plus the 800 nm of torque has sort or fried the changes between 3rd and 4th. So now I manually shift. Its alot easir to drive and a lot less turbo lag. Now Rusty doesnt have the jump on me.....SUFFER!!!

Dags, yeah your right. I think they are an excellent pad but too high a metal content. The run was good and you should come out more.

Your brakes are good Gary, don't you go worrying about that. At least they dont smoke like they used to.

Guys, just to give you the low down on my brakes. They are PBR-m Series. And they stop like Aircraft Carrier Anchors. Seriously. But MOST of you heard the scraping and noise from them. I put Bendix pads in the rears on Satuday and that's what was noisy. I washed it when I got home and it fixed it...for about 2 minutes. Anyway, I called Cam from Hightek Brakes in Moorabin. Could apologise enough and he is sending down genuine PBR pads when they arrive today. The reason im tell you all this is that I hate getting ripped off and I hate paying for stuff that doesnt work. But I love it when I get service like this. So if you are around that area, pop in a see Cam. Nice bloke. So HOPEFULLY, by the Snowies Cruise, I wont have to supply ear protection to everyone. Sorry to HiJack the thread. Just didn't want you thinking that's how I treat my car.

TAB, we discussed with Adam at lunch his future in photography. What Adam feels is sub par, we all think is sensational, so when he does something he thinks is worthy, then its mind blowing. It irritates the hell out of me. lol

I've changed myself onto the definites list. I have to change my rear pads which is not an issue. I should have them done by Saturday night. but the intention is there. Shananp don't worry. I 'm bringin my two kids.

I would have to say this is the most serious cruise on the calendar and is sensational fun. Great roads, good comapny and a couple of really good nights to talk cr@p about cars and other stuff. Bethany had a ball last year and the drive back with Gary was awesome. That scenic lookout we stopped at was gorgeous. I hope we run in to that Joanna Griggs again. Yum!!

Just reading the description of the cruise and saw your reference to me Gary. You have too long a memory. I miss ONE turnoff and lock my keys in the car ONE time and I'm labelled for life. SHEESH!!!!

Nick mate, Adam is right, the Unidens a good unit. It depends if you just want it for cruises or for open highway work. Don't get anything less than 1 watt as it wont transmit very far. Youc an get them off ebay cheap enough but ya may be pushing it to get one before next Sunday. Today was a cracker of a day. Drove back from Anakie in a Captiva puling half a tonne of wood in a trailer. The thing hasno overtaking power at the best of times but with a trailer? I missed my T.

Thanks for that. I would love to push it into schools and I'd love to be invited to present to schools. I think there is a definate message there. We have made contact with the TAC in Victoria and are seeking their endorsement at th emoment. While it may not do much for the sale of the book it will validate the message that's within. The book may seem a bit self serving but as Ben has edited it that tends to happen. But the sotries in it will hopefully make a few people sit up and take notice. Its not all about road safety and road trauma. It goes beyond that to where the message just doesnt get to. I'm not preaching road safety. God if youve ever been on a cruise with me, well, its the pot calling the kettle black. All Im saying is, there is a certain percentage of people out there that don't give a toss. And they are the ones that will end up writing others off. Simple but true.
