  1. Hi. As anyone who has ever driven an Auto will know, you cannot start a car unless it is in neutral or park. Some cars will only let you start them in park and some will only let you start them in park AND with a foot on the brake. Years ago I had a HZ van with a Turbo 400 auto trans and it had the same deal, but the owner before me hooked into the switch in the shifter, then called the Auto Inhibitor Switch, and added a longer wire and a switch that was accessible under the seat. Effectively it was an anti theft device that, if you didn't flick the switch, would confuse the car to think it was NOT in park and therefor would not start. Is this featur in the BF ZF auto controlled by a simple switch under al lthe plastic? I wouldn't have thought it would be ECU controlled but then who knows. It is not something I want to play with potentially stuffing the elctromnics on my ZF but if it is a simple thing like a switch actuated by the shift lever, I may well. Any help??
  2. You not having much luck. There was a cble on Ebay. $49 but maybe worth it.
  3. This is the sort of stuff should be in a book. Seriously. I would never had thought plugs. I thought its gotta be an ECU fault. Well done Kane.
  4. Even with that pic you get no idea how big the thing is. Grab a CD and that's about how big it is. Its massive. And with the twin pips out the back, to the uninitiated, it looks stock, not like these cannons some of the rice burners run. Mines not that shiny anymore :( Oh well.
  5. Hi guys. Excuse my ignorance but is Calder park still have the legal off street drags? If not where do you go in Vic to get your 1/4 time? When you do go, what do you need to be able to run? I don't wanna beat anyone I just wanna get a time so I know. Cheers.
  6. No worries mate. I was out picking my daughter up from work this arvo, just taking it easy as the car wasn't fully warm. Just sitting on about 1500 revs and mates, seriously, you couldnt tell the difference between my exhaust and stock. Certain revs it is as quiet as. Shame you in Woolongong, id meet up and give you a listen.
  7. I think he means its a bit loud for a split second. If anything it will add power to your setup. that's what its mainly for. With forced induction like Turbos, the engine needs to breath, If it doesnt breath it doesnt live, so the more it can breath....get the picture?
  8. I have the Nizpro big Zorst. I had it fitted so it would allow mods later on and I wouldn't be restricted. The thing under neath looks like a cannon. Much bigger than youd assume. You can certainly hear it in the car but as some have said the noise on full boost is spine tingling. On idle...make sure all the windows in your house are solid. My kids can here my car from the back of the house. But its not loud, just rumbles. Awsome. If I get the balls to let someone actually drive my car I'd love to hear it from outside. Had it ad Ford a few weeks ago and when they put it on the hoise the whole workshop stopped to have a look at it...they couldnt get over the workmanship of it. Probably overkill for me but the tips sort of look standard until you start it and give it a boot. Then it turns heads. I can't compare it to any cat back or twin system, but id have to recomend it as good gear. I'm after the "sleeper" look and this sort of fits in with that until I open it up. You wont be dissappointed.
  9. Where did you get the tripod housing from bro? I was looking at the xforce as it comes with the pod mount. I do like the OZ guages though.
  10. WHAT THE HELL??? See what happens when you try to use a mobile phone when driving?
  11. Depends on the pc you are going to use, and by that, from what I have read, you can either get a certain PCIE card that will out put the right resolution and scan/frequency, or go for a small converter board that does the same. There was link to the site that sold them but I cant find it now. I think its around the $150 or there abouts.
  12. Hiddeous, from the research I have done you still need the carpc do display the screen on the ICC and the scan tool plugs into the car pc via usb, You then need software to enterpret the signals I think. Involved. But something to keep me occupied in the winter months.
  13. Bump!. Anyone get this sorted?
  14. I have a smaller Nuvi and it sucks onto the dash in front of the speedo. Has a digital speedo so that's ok, but cant see if I have the cruise on or not. But its out of the way.
  15. That is brilliant. So speed, engine load, RPM etc are logged automatically and displayed on this once correctly plugged in?? That is awsome.
  16. Hi. Looking at fitting some guages to my XRT. Was looking at the triple pod from Pole Position Pole Position Auto Accessories - Your 1st choice for Innovative Auto Accessories with three Xforce guages. Does anyone else run these?? If so, are they any good? Any suggestions re other brands won't go astray. Cheers.
  17. Ok, did a search on ebay for the scan tool. Is there a particular one to look for?

    BUMP!
  19. How does it normally plug into the ECC? Im embarking on this project and am testing Centrafuse at the moment.
  20. Gday mate. I havent done this but am thinking of getting it done. Could you possibly tell me why you want to go to the bigger cover? I know your probably after more power (arent we all) but just wondering what other benefits your looking for. Cheers.
  21. Nizpro put Mobil1 0w-40w which is like $90. I changed it the other day and put Valoline Synthetic 10w-40w. Havent seen the Nulon but will keep a look out. Havent changed the T56 oil yet. I did change the fuel filter though. Didin't feel a hole lotta different but if you car has done say 30k, for the $20 or so for the filter (bugger of a job though) its worth it. There is a thread about changing. Biggest issue iot loosenign off the nuts and tightening it. The Rycos need extra tight, the motorcraft fits a bit better. I was really surprised they used 0w-40 though. I alwasy beleived the lower the first number was the vicosity when cold and I would have thought you needed and bit of oil to stay on components when it is off so less wear art startup. But then again, Im a Network Tech, What do I know.
  22. Where are you Cranny? Get some modded XRTs there and blow him off the road. Either that or go around his house the night before and lash his tyres. Yeah whos laughing now ya smart@ss. No seriously, and I mean seriously, don't go slashing tyres.......just take the vales out. Ok stop laughing now. I'd get it tuned mate. The Foons a great car but these engines, even the Foons stock are only just touching their potential. With a tune you release the awsone power of the forced induction even if just a little. Just rememner, BOOST BEATS CUBES!!!!!! PS. In NO way am I encouraging the use of violence or vandalism against any person UNLESS it is my ex wifes boyfriend who drives a Land Cruiser and he seriously needs to be modded or have some head work done...I mean on his car dudes. Keep us posted Cranny. Youve upset me now. Bl00dy V8 owners. lol
  23. Id got a place that does proper alignment, not just the stock one. May need to adjust toe in. But im tipping the rak may have gone.
  24. I have Bilsteins and Kings from Pat, great package. I got told the Monroes are more for lowered and/or repacement for stock. Ok though. But seriously, Pay (senna_t) is the man. I have standard ride height with pedders sway front and rear. I probably could lower it a bit, and would like it a bit stiffer but theres no body roll and it suits me down to the ground so to speak. Coil overs and Konis are a bit more expensive. Just depends on what you want to acheive.
  25. I picked up opne of the touch screens yesterday and am loading a trial version of the Centrfuse app on the laptop as we speak, just to make sure it takes it ok. If you could fine that wiring diagram that would be good but there was a cable mentioned earlier I thought may be the way to go. No sure.
