Hey Guy's I have picked up a 1998 Fairlane by Tickford , My question the audio is pretty dam good standard and I want to know if you can separate the tape deck and what seems to be the AMP/EQ unit I would like to keep that in as the car has a 9 speaker system that bans pretty hard, but does not play MP3 or MP4 or DVD just CD stacker and tape.........Anyone???

Does it make any difference to shorten the pipe from the front turbo housing to the standard crossover and add a pod? I have added a circle around the pipe I am talking about.

Looks like it was a great night I am frustrated I could not get down, I don't get the chance to go to many cruises due to my distance away from the city. Hey for the next one there are some pretty amazing drives trough gippsland and east gippsland if you keen may be day cruise????

Thanks Guy's, I have been speaking to Mick from CGU who was good got me a hire car that is not on my policy for a week because the assessor only comes to lakes entrance once a week so he will not be looking at the cat until next Thursday.........Sorry to say no night cruise for which is really anoying as I was go to take the missus to a nice hotel in city and have a day Dam insurance. If only I did not need it.

A quick up date, No one seems to have herd from the assessor. If he does not call or turn up today that will be annoying. I am going to call CGU and find out some more about this current situation and try to pin them down on a completion date..............Completion date it's just to spay one dam panel

Well I think they do but as the painter is disputing the issue and the insurance agent has no assesor in Victoria a guy has to come down from sydney and will not be here till Friday

Hi all I have a little story for all to read…….It starts in late August when I got backed into by a lady in a car park, Now that was not cool but I can live with that we swapped info her insurance paid for it and it was fixed and all was happy in the land of Mitch, Well I picked up the car and he said “Don’t wax it or put stuff on the paint for 2-3mths so the paint can cure” Sweet I can handle that to, It was dirty but ok. Now 3 weeks later I find This I found a yellow patch on the top of the quarter panel that was replaced and painted so I took the car to the panel shop that fixed it and he looked and asked if it had been to have a service I said no…..But it did go to the ford work shop locally to have the diff bush done (What a rip off) “OK” he said “Take it to them it is there fault they have got brake fluid on it. So I did take it to them and was told in no uncertain terms by there service manager “Nothing like that could ever happen in my workshop” Ok I said and took in it back to the panel shop and he said no prob,s bring it in on the 10th Nov and I will fix it. Now it gets annoying so I call that afternoon he said “I sanded it to metal painted it and well it did not work it seems to be in the metal” if I had only sprayed the guard it would have been $275 but now it could need a new panel as well. and so on during my waiting between discovering this and taking the car in I have sent these photo’s to the insurance broker who seemed to think it was the paint and the painter is blaming ford and for some reason ME who got hit and had the car fixed through insurance is going to be out of pocket for someone else’s stuff up. So the insurance agent called the painter and said stop work the panel must be assessed and check for this mysterious contaminant the panel must be sent 3.5hrs away to the city to be tested. I have been told by the insurance agent the best way this could work out now is I cough up the $400 in excess and cover the repair through my insurance for never having an accident then have the panel that has never been scratch or dented away for testing to them sue who ever is responsible for the repair cost and excess and what worse is I was really hoping to get down for the Vic night cruise well I will not have car so sorry guy’s. I hope this made your day look a little better.

That would be great I am picking the missus up from the city and coming out after that I may even meet her around Dandy she can get the train.....

Hi all I know that there was a lot more detail requested for this, But need to find out about the stickers on the side skirts of the XR as mine have had the top layer of plastic come off and have become faded. Has anyone else had this problem and is there a part code to order replacements are they a badge or something. Thanks guys
