  1. get off hijackers! Get back to me getting a faster/nicer wagon!
  2. Because a BA wagon suits what I need for my business, and I cant afford a RS6 Estate ( if I could, wouldnt be working..) Ive been thinking of swapping XR6T engine and ZF trans into a BF, slot the XR interior in ( if it comes from a wreck )and away I go. I know the HUGE difference between BA anf FG, but has anyone tried / looked at swapping FG bits onto a BA. If you could get the front clip on, you would just re-skin the doors to look like FG, but I wonder what Ford would have done if they'd done a FG wagon??
  3. shame bout the 3rd not having a hairdryer...and the price.... near 100k 6 spd ghia the sam as mine for under 30.....
  4. Searching for cars...none in SA atm... how many out there?
  5. Thanks Mr Bean. Ive just got to figure out what monitor and where for the rear. Will any of the arcade cards to tv out ( composite, s video ) ?. Frees up my monitor choice a bit then...
  6. China?! ewww, or I spose it might be .au iron..... Wher do the oem rotors come from then...
  7. Has anyone this mag image? It was the Wheels or Motor mag computer image of what the TT should have looked like. It was a FPV F6 front n rear bumbers on a terri. Looked pretty good imo. Anyways...plan is to do that for the coming TTG ( except im gunna pay $5k+ to get custom whels to copy 19" fpv...). Easy to do in fibreglass, but would like to do in the original material for flex.
  8. The factory Rex3 option is massive, the Alpine is nice as its 10" or so, but has a DVD. Im going the carPC path - so I dont need a DVD. It will be loaded wirelessly - or usb - from the home network. Im thinking of putting the screen in front of the factory light, swinging down. But that means having the screen facing down when folded up - but its the right distance for 3 cherubs in back... I will likely d.I.y. a screen, paint the surround to match the lining/light plastic, and if needed glue/construct a bracket onto the roof metal. Fantasy request is electric fold down....
  9. Dont worry....found out theyre 18" copies...
  10. http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthread.ph...age=1&pp=25 Terry, with a V8, with 19" rims, apparently with an engineers ticket.
  11. In the process of a carPC, will go a touch screen overlay and vga/cga convertor for icc, but for the little people in the back I want to have a 10" ish flaip down - BUT - I want to keep the interior light. Amyone done this? Pics? I have seen the screens with little lights in them, but I dont want...
  12. Thanks for the (only) serious reply kinggee. Im gunna continue this over at mp3car, I just wanted to flush the knowledge out here.... My intention is the run a mini itx mobo, hopefully one that can run the right video mode to go straight to CGA. I now know that composite video wont run straight in to the icc (my original question). XP ebmeded, centrafuse and gps, bluetooth and maybe a screen or two in the rear - run with cnx's touch overlay for the icc. Hopefully will stuff it in where the lock box is under the drivers seat. Any experiance appreciated....
  13. No, the icc is not 1080 or anything near. Didnt say the screen was. I said a carputer is capable of that. Many in-dash blu-ray players on the market? The monitor(s) intended for the rear would be, but its just for the kids so dont care.
  14. You guys need to go to mpcar.com a bit more. A carputer will..... play mp3, movies, video clips, tv, radio, sat nav, hands free mobile, play solitaire....?! All without the kids mashing the dvd's out the window etc... Yes itll cost more, and no the quality wont be worse - actually better - if you run a 720 or 1080 mkv...
