  1. Peter Thanks for your reply had a dyno check all is well. Appears I have a valve seal problem and wondering if you have any ideas on replacement valve springs while they are doing the work regards, mratz
  2. Peter I have had the first stage of your kit fitted ie. chip and very happy with results. Question. On a very hot day performance right across the range dropped to the same as standard car. Standard car obviously would have dropped as well but will this happen with the stage 11 kit as I don't think a change in intercooler is part of the kit. PS I use a pretty basic performance check over a measured bit of road and accelerate from 2000 rpm 4th gear and check the gain. Did it before the chip was installed and after and on this particularly hot day 35 degrees. mratz
  3. Had a timer fitted when the Unichip went in. Don't know if it really is required but a little insurance and what I consider good engine management.
  4. Hi Steve Look forward to meeting you and other T owners on the 27th. Can you post some directions for us country bumpkins (kind ones) Regards Mike.
  5. Bit of a cruiser man myself. Got a R1200C BMW.

    300+ Kw's

The unichip is working great for me. Money well spent in my book. Took rwkw from 191 to 223kw. Pretty good for just a chip and nothing else. The other beauty is that I can continue to update as funds allow and still use the same chip.
  7. Will be going down for the 24 hr will be great to have (my car) going around instead of the current "Sports Sedans" masquerading as production cars. Best of luck on the day and you will have a few of us cheering you on.

    Xr6t Speed Limiter

    230 was it for mine.
  9. Have heard a lot about a weak drivetrain but have not heard of any failures to date. Maybe the much maligned gearbox is stronger than we think. The chip is all I've changed and love the increase in usable power right through the rev range.

    BRAKE SHUDDER ISSUE

Have not noticed any problem untill this week going down the Toowoomba Range (Not riding the brakes) bit of a stab now and again to keep to the 60km limit and in 3rd gear and it was starting to show a bit of shudder that shouldn'd be there. Done just over 9000 km Will keep informed.
  11. Track days are the go for me. Maybe Morgan Park at Warwick could be considered. Great Track and great drive from Brisbane or anywhere out there. Q.R. would be great as well. Cheers
  12. $1650 all up plus I fitted a timer as well. The chip is programed for the power to come on after 3000 rpm and hopefully will allow the gearbox to live. I'm not into the dragstrip stuff but will do a few track days at Morgan Park when I can

  14. Just had Unichip fitted no other mods 190kw to 225kw rear wheels XR6T is one impressive vehicle standard but this simple mod improved it right across the rev range and in everyday driving conditions :D Lot of respect for Rob Harrods opinion though.
  15. Thanks everyone for all the info. Having a unichip fitted tomorrow with no other mods to see how it performs and will give an update. I think the manual box will be ok providing its not abused but time will tell. Mal Wood may get a customer yet.
