  1. I think I might keep the standard dump and do a 3" system with the 3.5" high flow cat
  2. At the moment I'm only running the factory tune until I finish all my mods and have it tuned. I only want to run low boost (13psi) because its a fairly new car and its my everyday driver. If it was my old r32 I would run 17 no worries. I just dont want to push my car that far when it is only 2 years old. So if I go 4" dump with a 10psi wastegate actuator it should be fine? That way later on if I decide I want more power I can just get a new tune saves buying another dump. Only problem with the 10psi actuator would be I cant run a 8psi tune ( which I would run when I'm just driving the car to work). Can you get an actuator that can range from 8-15psi?
  3. I'm looking at getting a 4" dump pipe with a 3.5' cat and 3.5' piping to a muffler (which I havent decided which to go with yet). I only want to run no more than 13psi with the tune and I was wondering whether the 4" dump and exhaust would effect the turbo's ability to hold boost? Or does this only happen when the boost is higher?
  4. My bro is getting married and is having a slide show of all diff pics. He wants a pic of all the bridal party and their rides. Can anyone recommend any good places to get pics around ipswich, brisbane, gold coast etc?
  5. I decided not to sell it and just use a water sprayer kit to help keep temps down.
  6. Yeah that's why he said to do injectors and fuel pump before tune
  7. They are drift iridium digital gauges which you can buy from autobarn. Boost was $250, afr and oil temp were about $160-$180. However autobarn did me a deal since I bought three gauges and the xforce tripod off them so I saved a fair bit. Pic was taken off my iphone which has a sh*t camera
  8. My gauges during the day with sun on them. (For those who wanted to see how they looked during the day)
  9. anyone else been given a price on a mild steel exhaust? I rang the guys who did my cat today and they are goin to get back to me with some prices. Will let you know what they are
  10. Whats the name of the exhaust shop your using? Where abouts in ipswich are they?
  11. Does the distance between your bov and the t piece matter? I have my bov near the battery and the t piece is where the vac line is (where factory bov usually is). The boost sensor is also mounted inside the cabin so about a metre from the t piece. Will the extra length in tubing have any effect on the accuracy of the gauge? At the moment I'm using the factory tune which I thought was 6psi. My boost gauge says 5psi when your pushing it but most the time 4psi when accelerating. It reads -20 when idling so I know that's correct. Here is a pic of my gauges that I took with my phone. I haven't connected the oil temp or AFR yet just run the power to them.
  12. Dont think I can use the clock anyway. Have just thought about it and I think that two of the wires would be for the clocks constant power to move hour and minute hands and the other two would be for the illumination when the lights are on. Is this right?
  13. I have the factory clock fitted where my gauges go so I was hoping I could use the power supply that feeds it. Only thing is I pulled it apart and there are four cables there. Which ones do I connect to positive and negative? Here is a pic
  14. Yeah have been thinking of buying your HIGH FLOW KIT V1.0 because I have noticed the temps get high when in traffic. Whats the v1.0 like in traffic and hot summer conditions?
  15. not sure about dimensions will have to measure when I have time. Here is a pic compared to normal cooler. and piping I have I bought it off ebay from a member on this site. Can't remember who though
  16. yeah not sure. My bro had his evo tuned at the same place and his power figure has been the same on two other dyno's
  17. Did you use the factory sensor to wire the afr gauge? I've been told not to use the factory sensors to wire up the afr and even the oil temp because the change in resistance effects the accuracy of the gauge. Anyone know whether this is correct?
  18. Ok may be diff for rwd cars then. I went to one at mt cotton with ma bro and the club he is in and their tyres got very worn around the edges. It was even raining so the track was kept pretty wet. But then they were all evo's and rex's so may be diff for awd cars. Its awesome fun though
  19. Make sure you have a spare set of tyres aswell. They are very badly worn by the end of the day
  20. I had replaced the intercooler and cold side piping, new cat, replaced centre muffler and had the cappa flash tuner. This figure was how the car was running with the standard cappa flash 10psi tune. My tuner put it on the dyno saw it needed injectors and pulled it back off so didnt get to tune it. I'm in the process of getting injectors, fuel pump and hot side piping. Will be good to see how it goes
  21. Was looking at getting a new BOV and was just wondering whether I can just go and buy anyone I wanted or does it have to be a certain type? On the net there seems to be different bovs for different cars. Is this just the pressure setting?
  22. Brand new black ss ute spotted at goodna with an orion sticker on the rear windscreen lucky I realised pretty quickly it was an unmarked cop car
  23. I will prob come out and have a look. My ute wont be ready to race by then though still waiting to get a bit more money together
  24. Found a carbon fibre XR8 bonnet on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Ford-BA-BF-BOSS-XR8...1QQcmdZViewItem
  25. Thanks for the offer but I've decided to leave it for the time being and wait until I have the tune done
