Man ive had lots of problems with my vlt over the years that ive had to fix but this had me stuffed, but in the end it's a five minute job to fix. I really feel sorry for the people that have had to spend countless dollars on other suspension & brake changes to only have the problem persist. I wouldn't mind betting that criticism from the brake shop sponsor was because they charge and arm and a leg to fix sh!t like this when all you need is a spanner or two and a will to think about how stuff works and the problems that might be caused. My advice to people with problems like this or any other is to at least research on the net to see if others have experienced the same troubles.

Well I'm calling this case closed!!.. after pulling the master cylinder off and screwing the adjusting blot in to give abit of clearance between the piston and master cylinder valve. literally a 5 minute job.. it makes sense as it seems to me that the brakes were dragging from the begining, and going for a trip to sydney the other day I had a interesting thing happen, I had the brake pedal go to the floor when trying to brake after cruising for awhile, after pulling over thinking that maybe there was air in the system or sumthing, (thought I may of been leaking fluid) I checked the fluid, all good, and then I noticed that the right rear wheel was smoking, hence confirming that the brakes were indeed dragging.. so when I got home I did the above^ and it's been a few good drives now and no random shuddering, so fingerz crossed!

Lulz...comming from someone that owned a "clubbie", I wouldn't be so quick to throw comments like that around after saying that dude

if it doesn't the first thing I'm gunna look at is the brake booster then as it seems like the brakes are dragging to me

I get the exact same problem that Vivasanti has described, (not the usual brake shudder under braking) that doesn't bother me at all. It is the random comming and going of a vibration that literally shakes the whole car when doing say 80-100kph. I can feel it start somewhere in the front end, then it moves up into the steering wheel and shakes the sh!t out of it lol. Then as you hit the brakes to slow down the shudder is really bad and it feels as though the brakes have lost that vacum assit (like when you try braking when the car is switched off). so im not sure what cause's it to begin with weather it is the brakes randomly starting to drag or worn bushes but it is annoying.

I have also got this exact same problem! I've had it happen a couple of times now, it seems to only happen when traveling at a speed greater than 90-100k's per hr and usually on the freeway. Interesting theory about the brakes, ill have to look into that! What I was thinking is that it could be a stuffed shock or strut tower. For those that haven't experienced this it seems to just start off as a small vibration through the steering wheel then gradually getting to a severe shudder(at first I thought I had a flat and then it felt like one of my front wheels was gunna fall off lol), but once the brakes are applied for a few seconds it seems to disappear. It is a very intermittent problem...

how did you go with th 9" and the wheel speed sensors?

I would take it to an independant mechanic that has the diagnostic tester and see what his machine shows the problem to be

What a run! You guys drive like men posessed lmao, it was good see all the cars together and the look on that farmers face down near kangeroo valley was priceless! By the time I came through he was going off his nut!
