Hi Guys, I'm getting closer in getting the cash together for a Brembo upgrade for my FG XR6T. Question is which ones to go for, the 6/4 or 4/4 combo. There is about $600 difference to go for the 6 pots up front, and will cost about $100-$150 extra each time I need new front pads. Only concerns with the 6 pot front are the vibration issues when travelling slow and applying the brakes which some guys are getting who have upgraded to them. Does any one know if this has been resolved? Has anyone driven an FG with standard brakes, then one with the 4 pots, and then one with the 6 pots? Might also be someone who has a FPV F6 with the standard 4 pots then gone to the 6 pots. Car will be used mainly for street driving, with the occasional spirited "track" days Thanks George

Hey Guys, Just got my FG F6 cluster fitted at Dominelli Ford in Kirrawee, Sydney. They chaged me $49.50. This cluster is so much clearer and easier to read without the blue rings around the numbers! Also is there anyone with a FG F6 who can possibly look in their manual to let me know what the increments of the OIL Temp are. Its suprising how cold the oil is even though the car has hit normal operating water temp. Good little investment, I would recommend them George

Hey Guys, I too have bought the FG F6 Cluster, hoping to get it fitted soon. Just one question, what the increments for the oil temp? We know the max is 150 if I assume the min is 0, does this mean each main increment is 30?? or is the min not 0? Is there anyone with a FG F6 who can check in their manual to see if it states is there. Thanks George

Hi Guys, Does anybody know of any brembo resllers or any one know anyone who can get their hands on new Brembo Ford kits? I have already spoken to Race brakes wondering there was anyone else. Looking at getting a 4/4pot Brembo Package for the FG, including calipers, rotors, pads, lines, brackets etc Thanks George

Many say the standard turbo runs out of puff at 325ish rwkw, so that will be my guess. I'll also guess, it will come on boost straight away and be real torquey dwn low, then fell real lathargic up top. I think us guys with the FG are lucky in respect for bang for your buck when it comes to hitting 300rwkw, as all you would really need is tuner and injectors, with the option of changing your inlet (ie xr8 box, etc) and fuel pump. But I'd say if we want around 350-380 rwkw, we have the added expense of also changing or modifying the turbo, as well as bigger cooler and zorst, which you would need to do anyway to a pre FG T. So yeah that's my prediction George

Hi guys, A couple of questions about the factory FG Sat Nav. Where is the unit located, ie where would you insert the card into? Also for those that have it you will notice there is a multimedia funtion on it, though in the manual it says do not use as its not support by ford, but was wondering if one wanted to use it..lol... how does one go about it?? I'm thinking if I could locate the box there may be some imputs you can plug something into Let me know if anyone has tried anything to get this going George

Cool, it all sounds normal then yeah does sound good as long as its normal. As for traction control, I havnt really given her a hard time as yet, but it was raining the week I picked it up, and I can deffinatly confirm that they have eased up on the traction control and DSC, and she was spinning allot longer before any intevention!! George

Hey mate, This makes sense, as I havn't hit 100% throttle yet interesting feature.... is there anything they havn't thought of..lol that's the thing, its not so much a whistle, its more like howling..lol seems to have boost though .... actually now that I think of it the noise its making sounds more like a supercharger rather than turbo charger... hmmm time to look under the bonnet...lol George

Hi Guys, I have been away and just got back, after owning the car now for about 2 weeks, she only has 200 or so kms on her. I followed a run in procedure I found on here somewhere for the first 100kms, and since then I drive normally with giving it a few stabs from time to time, but 1 thing that I have really started to notice is that when giving it stabs, as the box changes gears (ZF6 Auto) the car farts as if its shutting down cylinders before each gear change, pretty much sounds like a manual on launch control. Has any one else noticed this? I also went into manual mode, and was driving a little harder changing at about 4500rpms and it was doing the same thing?!?! Bizarre I thought, do ford put in some run in type tune in the ecu which they then re flash at the first service ? Another question, I have noticed this turbo really howls, (I have owned many turbo cars and know what turbo spool sounds like) though in this car the turbo howls more than produce a higher pitched spooling noise, I don't recall the car I took for a test drive howling like this one, do you guys also notice a howl or more a turbo higher spool sound, could just be this new intake setup? So hard to explain but hope it makes sense Other than that the car is going great and so far everything I read about them is true, handling has improved allot and the brakes are a little under capacity ( but then again they are still bedding in), all my gadgets are working, ie ipod control, bluetooth, NAV - still trying to figure this system out as it has allot more features than the one in the BF. Thanks George

Yeah, don;t worry I considered that, and in my situation with the way the trade worked out, it was 20 k more to get into a F6, I didnt see 20k difference in both cars, and that was 20k more with the XR6 Fully spec'ed to the way I have it now so far I have only spent 2.5K on the FPV stuff I have bought, and the Brakes I didnt have them optioned on the F6 so either car I would of had to have payed the 5K for brakes. So yeah I'm very happy with my choice and the way my trade and finances went the XR6T was the car for me plus it will be a little FPV enchanced George

Hi Guys, Picked her up yesterday afternoon, all I can say is wow There was a small issue, I ordered it with black interior though it came with silver on black, but kinda glad it did as it suits the car allot more These FG's are feature packed!! I know I picked almost every options, but its amazing how you setup and control the whole car from the ICC, even the alarm gets configured thorugh that Luckly everything works for me, my phone connected and works (HTC Diamond Touch), my Ipod conneted and works (Gen 4 Ipod nano)... hopefully they keep working without any issues The sat nav is great, but trying to get to learn all functions a little better I took it out last night and did the first 60kms in run in mode, so hopefully I have run her in correctly, I followed a procedure I read from here somewhere, so far shes going great I;m going interstate next week, but shes staying here, and then the week after the TEINs get fitted Bunna I will PM the SIDO, would be good to have that info, thanks for the offer I will get some pics up and post them in the Multimedia section, and keep them updated as the mods go on George
