Love your work bcl. Looks as though your headed for an upgrade. Just checked aps website to compare their torque figures with the TKO's. The TKO looks as though it could only handle the Phase I option. And the TKO II can only handle Phase I and Phase II. Phase II if your feeling adventurous. Looks like we're getting somewhere. Hopefully we will get there b4 our gearboxes crunch out!

Good spot there chief they mention the TKO which is also on the CAPA website no price as of yet. I suppose we will have to wait until a bit more R&D is done. Do you know how to convert lb/ft torque to newton metres? It would be good to keep it in mind for future mods. cheers

Thanks for the replies people. I know that I will be in for some kind of upgrade/replacement to the transmission, CAPA have a 6 speeder for about 8 large. I wasn't hoping to spend that much, any kind of upgrade I think will be worth the dosh if it improves it at all. If we can fix that then there really isn't a weak point with the car, is there?

Hey guys, I was wondering whether anyone here had: a) upgraded their gearbox with a oil cooler kit B) upgraded their clutch c) had a total gearbox conversion d) or even gone for short shifter ?? I wouldn't mind getting some feedback from people who have made the change and I'm sure there are a hell of a lot of xrt manual drivers wondering the same thing Cheers

Damn it! I knew I should have checked out the alarm b4 I ordered it. Better than nothing I hope. If pro's get it there's not much you can do, hopefully it will alteast stop amateurs from getting in the doors and taking off!

Yeah so it definitely looks like the premo sound and the sun roof are the main culprits for the really extra long waits. With the exception of a couple that are near standard ... that's just totally bloody mind boggling! So KEN 24T your just waiting on the delivery now? You could probably hire a limo burn down to the factory drink some bollinger and still have change from the money you have to pay for dealer delivery. Its a rip off in the first place, & when you paying that much you'd expect bloody good delivery!

Yeah good point, I'm just thinking I'm spending that much cash, I may as well get it exactly how I want it. When they told you November was that similar to your current one (with just the auto) and was the order placed a while back? Your still right about that bloody engine though.

Hey guys, I was just trying to figure if there was a strong correlation between what (& how many options) people order and what their actual waiting period was. So is it likely if you only get a few options it will not take as long? or perhaps what type of options could affect time? hmmm...

I know the feeling. I too have ordered white. I've looking at normal white cars and they look sh*te. I think it suits the XR, get some tint and it will do the job. If you don't want to stand out as much de-badge the turbo writing on the back. Then drag guys off.

I was going to order the mercury silver. Then when I went to sign there was a white XR8 with leather seats, and it looked awesome. I hadn't seen an xr in white before, they are not too common which is good. So I changed my mind on the spot. I'm sometimes not too confident with the choice, just looking around at normal white cars, they don't look that good. So I drove back to the dealer to reassure myself that I made the right choice. Hey, it just suits the car I think. I guess I'll have too wait and see (till I get it) I suppose.

Oh man, I'm starting to get worried. :( I was expecting delivery for mid to late august. Now I'm not so sure. Also in Saturdays Age some guy has been waiting 22 weeks!! Now that's f*cked. Methinks I should go down to my dealer and have a chat. He is personal friend, but still a car dealer. Only "upside" is saving up money between now and delivery. I'd still take the car any day though.

hey chief, like the price. I ordered mine a couple back (weeks), so they say its 4-6 weeks from now. I can't wait, although it would be good to build the bank balance up a bit. I'm goin' white, side aribaggers, scuff plates, alarm, momo knob and leather. Should be sick.
