  1. Yeah, thanks to Peter and David, the presentation was done well. Learned so much more, than the info that is available over the web. :o I always considered the packages to be better than most of the others, now I know that 4 sure . I will be looking forward to see their new toy run in 2 weeks at Calder sounds like it could be OTC (off the charts). Here's hoping everything works fine. It was good to hear that the manual durability is better than previously thought :o (thankyou god). Suddenly Phase I ain't that far off. TintR I appreciate those directions mate, although I did get a bit worried following you when YOU WENT ON THE WRONG SIDE OF THE MEDIAN STRIP!!

    Its Here!

Hey Mack, Its true what they say, its a great drive, just make sure you don't get carried away with the view (easy to do) otherwise you'll find yourself dropping 50 metres into the water! Pics still haven't come in! Maybe this weekend, my email was maxed out with shyte so maybe my mate sent them or didn't. Keep you posted.
  3. God, 9am its gonna be a killer. I don't even know where Croydon is so its gotta take me a while to get there. Still in with bells on seeya there!! I think I should get some shut eye now. Cheers
  4. Asked my dealer about putting one on. They had the black 'GT' style or the small holed light grill. $400 (for the cheaper one), yeah good one guys, I don't think they're made of gold!
  5. Hmmm, I had one noticeably clunk while turning a corner and changing gears. There seems to be a very soft 'clunk' when I change gears and put the foot on the gas, thought it was the lsd or something. I'll get them to check at 3000, still only had the loud clunk once though.
  6. hmmm, my post didn't seem to work. I was trying to say mine was 6 weeks delivery with some options. It was ready for pickup exactly when they said it would be.
  7. Its good to hear some accolades on the stereo, especially when driving!

    Its Here!

Sorry for the late update guys. You know why haven't been here for a while. The car ... sweet as, goes like a dream! Racked up 1000 kays in two days. The Great Ocean Rd was perfect, dry and sunny. Lorne to Apollo Bay is the best section. Went with a 200SX and a Porsche, couldn't keep up around the bends on the straights though it can match them (with the exception of the 200, which has about 10K mods under the bonnet). Great drive can't wait to do it again sometime. I'll get the pics up in a few days, they're on my mates camera. Cheers and happy driving.

    Its Here!

Picking it up tomorrow, which means the estimated delivery date was exact, must have been the only one in the country to arrive on time. Gonna cruise down the great ocean road, to start her running in period. I'll let ya know how it goes. Something tells me you already know the answer to that one Wish me luck

    Ooouch Crash

Glad your o.k. take it all the way, next time he might kill someone lucky about the turbs
  13. Hey there Kaine welcome, I'm 22 and expecting delivery this week (touch wood), I'm an under 25 driver (obviously) and will be insured by the RACV, by doing the finance through them, I get a discount on insurance which works out to about $1200 rating 2. Their finance also gives the best on repayments, (I did my homework) for my situation anyway. Shop around for finance and also insurance, take your time, cause you can save yourself a lot of money. Happy hunting!

    Lightning Shift

cdm, as far as I am aware you are definitely correct. XR8 has a tremec from mexico while the XRT has a T5 which is made in, or put together, in Geelong(?). XR8 gearbox is stronger and better, I think it is the same one as is in the GT, but I'm not 100% sure about that either. Check out the CAPA website as I know they have a few 'box options too (oil kit, short shifter & 6 speed). Could be a goer! I don't think that installing a short shifter will greatly increase 'smoothness', but oil kit might. Cheers
  15. Count me in. B)
  16. Oh my god
  17. What those guys said, too early could be over the limit.

    Sido/website

Guys, how you doing? Got off the phone with my dealer who tells me 2 weeks. I'm like sweet, I ask if I have a SIDO, dealer isn't sure but calls back with the number. Isn't there a website where I can view the car (daily), I had a quick look on the ford website couldn't see it and its a slow website, can you help? I am absolutely hanging now I know it is close!!
  21. Blue stripes (on white) along the side (like GT) or a big mutha down the middle, is the way to go. I'm thinking about it, but you do gotta earn your stripes first (ie hot it up) other wise your all talk and no walk.

    Xr Sales

I thought that Ford said they would cut back on the standard car production to reduce the wait. Lets hope it works ... still waiting.
