    Tail Shaft

I've got no idea (obviously), how can I check?
  2. O baby! You sure know how to tempt the rest of us here mate Did you get the phase 1 before upgrading to 2? I think I will have to take it one step at a time. Also upgrading the brakes is costly too if you reckon its a necessity then I believe you. Congrats on the upgrade and let us know if it continues to perform well over time. Cheers

    Sound!

Mines standard, I reckon its pretty good anyway. I'm a young driver and I hate doof doof. I wanna be able to hear when I'm older.

    Tail Shaft

Thanks guys, I am considering going to another dealer as driving it tonight and last night the problem seems heaps worse I think maybe they had a bit of a poke and a fiddle, too much of a coincidence for it become so much noticably different. I'm not sure I really want to drive it anywhere for fare of buggering up the parts its hooked up to (engine/gearbox/diff)???. I can hear the clicking when changing into 2nd and 3rd now when it was just 1st reverse and sometimes 2nd. And that's when the engine is louder too! I dunno if im imagining the drive to be worse, but it 'feels' like there is less traction when taking corners, could be my imagination though. The service guy said he hadn't heard of anyone elses making the noise too.

    Tail Shaft

Hey there, I have been noticing a metallic clicking sound when releasing the clutch so I finally decided to get it checked out today. The news? Apparently I need a new tail shaft fitted and this is gonna take about a month because they need to get a balancer in? to make sure its fitted correctly and stuff :( Well I'm happy that I checked out on warranty but pissed because it looks like my new years road trip to Byron Bay may not happen now. If you've got a clicking sound TAKE IT BACK!! infact if anything isn't right take it back, don't wait till your next service.
  6. Leather's the option, the 17's look good anyway.
  7. Forget pissing on the seat. Let her glue the seat down I say. To avoid confrontation, just piss in the sink. Its the last compromise she'll wanna make
  8. "SIC240" Was on the car when I got it from the dealer, no sh*t. I feel like a bit of a tosser, but hey, someone might like it later down the track. p.s. if you get more than 240 kw, then you've got a nice sleeper
  9. Hey there, Got my tint done from TintR last week, looks great and have not lost any reception (AM & FM) - thanks brett! Trying to get a hold of a digital camera so I can post the pics. I'll see what I can do. B)

    Warranty

welcome bwhinnen I think ford wouldn't wanna replace it, haven't heard of too many manuals grenading yet (heard of one). APS say upgrading the clutch is the option. Apparently they haven't had too many issues and they have been really loading the power (and torque) on!

    Sprung!

As nearly all Victorians know already (due to the 3km/h over and your booked policy - yes even in 50 zones) the Australian Design Standard for speedometres is 10%, so a legal speedometer could say that you are doing 110 when your needle is dead on 100. If I had a bet I would believe that this is the case in your instance. On newer cars you'd expect most of them to be more accurate than the 10% but there will still be a few that will be a bit out. Cheers p.s. And yes I have been booked twice since I've got the T, do the crime pay the fine (unless its within 10% then you go to court).
  12. Sounds interesting, address please ...
  13. Brett, How you going? Glad I read this thread before I come and bug you for a deal. I will try to call you tomorrow again. I've got Wednesday off work so that I can drive up to your shop. Russell
  14. I've got to say 1st and 3rd. 1st, suprises the passengers by the acceleration (it can really flick the neck back), and 3rd 'cause it just gets scary from then on ... it just keeps on goin!!!
  15. If I have enough time I'll wave I'll go the thumbs up or the nod & smile.
  16. APS Phase 4 sounds like enough

    3000 Km Check

Mine went in today for 3000k's. Need to go back for a new o-ring (4 the water pump) and a check on steering 'creakiness.' You will notice the creakiness if you have it.

    Low Power Xr6t

Ok, I had a problem and the car felt sluggish, felt like a throttle or a turbo problem. Acceleration was 'sticky & jerky?' ... not fast. I found (well think) that the problem arose after using cruise control -don't ask me why. It shouldn't, but that's when it seemed to do it. I've stopped using cc and the car seems to be back to normal. Including the 'whining' (fuel pump etc) noise which I couldn't hear it was going slow Try not using cc for a while and see what happens. Mines goinf for a service in the next week or so, so I'll get them to keep an eye open. Good luck

    Colour Wars Ii

What about winter white Ken? I think you had an idea for that one, but thought you had to keep that one to yourself?
  22. I drive with mine on at night and when I put my parkers on at dusk. I have not been high beemed once, which must mean that they aren't bright or are aligned correctly. My mate who has an SS get high beemed 5-6 times a night driving with his on (short trips). I hate driving in the opposite direction to someone with the foggies on, if they shine in your eyes (like commodores & HSV's), but obviously my XR don't have the same effect, if it did I would turn them off.

    My First Kill

My friend has a VX SS with VY SS engine / exhaust system (extra 10kw 2 235). Driving through a series of lights and I was praying for a red, I was looking over and he just looked straight. Got greens all the way through ('bout 5 sets of lights ) when does that ever happen?? I found out later he was hoping for greens because he didn't want me to drag him off (he's been many a time in my car) - for some reason he reckons I will kill him off the line - I genuinely thought it would be close. Anyway, got my chance later that night. The light had been red for a while (3 lane strip - both on the outsides) I've pulled up at the light and he was rolling to try and pull ahead when it turned green. GREEN I put the foot down, the car bogs down not enough juice, he immediately hits the front, I had pretty much caught up at the top end of 1st hit the front in second, in third 'bout a car lenght in front ... sweet Anyway that was my first (worthy opponent). Ken, take the traction off! If its dry, your fine if its wet ... well the chances are your pants will be 2. 4 those of you who don't own a T or punted one in the wet (even with traction on) it is no joke when people put any of these faces up on the post it is literally what it is like.
  24. Finance Company owns about 80% of mine. Had it for about 3-4 weeks? Seems like I've had it for an eternity.
  25. BLKXRT have done this link already. My computers been MIA for a couple of weeks. Those 5 links sound good, can't think of any others.
