  3. I was under the impression as your car ages with general wear and tear it needs to be re-callibrated once a year to compensate for the ageing process. Can't explain the massive rwkw some of you guys are talking about or unlimited boost! - you must be just unlucky. Best of luck Rusty
  4. well apparently I had to get my tailshaft 'replaced' and then it was going to be a 2-3 month wait for the machine which ford uses to become available at my dealer?? after a month or so they just 'repaired' it. sounded like a quick fix to me dunno if it held up as I sold the beast afterwards anyhow. All the best, Russ
  5. Thanks for the info guys (some of it fairly detailed) looks like I've got some tough decisions to make! Rusty
  6. Hi there, The aftermarket tuners have been around for quite a while now and I was curious to know how people's cars were holding up if anyone has had any issues especially with the series 1 manual. I am looking at going to about 330fwkw and haven't heard of many issues - but I've been out of the country for a while - so could be very wrong? I would prefer to avoid an upgrade to MK2 $$. Your experiences / comments would be appreciated. Cheers, Rusty

look under the market I have a good car for $35K with under 25000 on the clock. russ
  8. See what I can do mack! JB mate - very nice ride bud! We could have had a whitee catch up! Russ
  9. This stage looking at a minimum of one year (maximum of 2). Got the old fella looking after the wheels, my mates were keen, but I want it to be in one piece when I get back. Will be coming back 4 a holiday in the summer, for some heat and some long long drives that's for sure. Petrol? Its at about £80.6 a litre! You do the math on converting that back. Was thinking of selling and picking up a series 2 or a typhoon. Actually when is the series 2 due out? hmmm ... Anyway thought I would say a quick hello. Chief
  10. G'day all from the land of warm beer. I've been missing around these parts as I've been living in london for 7 weeks. Boy oh boy am I missing the turbs! I have only driven a renault wagon around a couple of times ... absolutely gutless. Car was for sale but now I'm thinking of keeping it. Can afford to now I'm in the pounds. I'm not just talking about the heathrote injection either. It is quite a site looking at all the "bad arses" driving around in their absolute sh*tboxes with the stereo pumping. Its even worse than the p platers back home, at least they will have a minimum 6 cylinders and can turn a tyre. We are lucky to have such a great (and cheap) local performance based car industry as well as roads to use them! So get out there and use them like they should be before I get teary eyed again. God I miss our country and its beautiful cars
  11. 206rwkw at melbourne APS open day.
  12. how 'bout a carbon fibre bonnet?
  13. Yeah, that T that pulled 206 was mine and is still for sale! $36 900 (see the market). Sorry shameless plug. Congrats on the time! How good is that chip? Had the pleasure of driving with one for a while. Very nice
  14. Rusty05 did your car stink of burnt fluid?
  15. That could explain why mine sometimes goes sh*tty!! My steering was fine then I was parking and heard a clunk when turning the wheel (no didn't hit anything) and the steering was dreadful afterwards (wasn't the first time)!
  16. I had the stage 1 overnight - for the aps day demonstration. I can tell you that the chip is worth the dosh. You certainly can feel the extra power!! If I wasn't selling I would have one When I come back from O/S I will get stage 2. But for bang 4 your buck the chip is great from my experience (yes a short one, but not a slow one)
  17. Peter, Thanks for letting me use the chip for a day. I assure you my trip back was much slower than the way up - even though my car was running such high power on the dyno stock (it was even higher with the chip 235rwkw!)
  18. Was a good night. My first time - and it was harder than I thought it would be to get a good time!!
  19. I agree. Especially if you like to do some spirited driving through the mountains etc. Through the mountains?
  20. Or totally bypass a dealer and get one second hand and save yourselve a lot of dough Sorry ... shameless plug
  21. I wanna give my beast a run before I sell her will prob be there this week or the next
  22. I think the timing of the site going down has killed this one, as most would have probably gone on the opening weekend. Kill it
  23. If theres enough interest it might be worth organising a get together, it would be great to see 30 odd T's rocking up at the same time. Obviously its the sort of event where you wanna do your own thing and not be stuck with a tour group, so I suggest a meeting place before hand and then a convoy to the nearest carpark (crown??) What do you guys think? If theres enough interest maybe Dagabond or someone can organise it properly. I think going at night would be good as we can avoid the crowds and queues!! Cheers p.s. it would be good to check the F6 out too.
  24. The biggest one I saw was like 10 cars. I'm sure theres been plenty more.
