  1. Just replaced it with Tranzmax Z oil and it worked a treat!!! no more hard shifting, reverse works like normal and it flat changes into 2nd no problems. CASE CLOSED
  2. +4 I just want to see the different aspects on having a daily 500rwkw car. it must almost be annoying to drive after a while? I have only just over half and sometimes cant be bothered with the boost in slow traffic hahaha
  3. just a few quick questions here guys, 1. how much oil goes into the gearbox? 2. where can I source some good priced tread in WA? what shop gives pretty decent prices? I dont need them asap, so I would consider shipping them if it were cheaper from over-state. 3. im about to get my surge tank installed (it has the bosch 044 pump), should I still get my in-tank pump (walbro GSS340) installed aswell? thanks guys. ohh and for my sound system, I'm booked in with alberts in joondalup 2mora to get it done so I shall give ya's a bit of feedback to tell ya how it went

  5. yeh well ive gone from stock about a month and a half ago when I got the car.. too almost 350rwkw by the end of this month... then once got the motor its gonna be 400rwkw hopefully.. I think ive got the bug. I know 10 seconds in a manual is hard, but I like challenges.
  6. yeh its a debateble subject... I could easily achieve 400rwkw with a stronger bottom end I rekon on the budget im on.. ive spent over $10-12k already just on the bolt on bits plus clutch and getting tuned. I was quoted $8360 from atomic for the full rebuild of my engine to a 660kw monster. or $9850 if I dont use my engine. for the basic bottom end parts its $3750 which could handle 400rwkw all day. all up I dont think there would be much change from 20k if I was to go with it. this is to say that I havnt done brakes or suspension yet :S I think sometimes it would work out cheaper to buy a F6 and just simply bolt on a few parts to see 400rwkw. im starting to get the competition bug and im wanting to be the first manual into the 10sec bracket if no1's done it yet
  7. hey guys, ive just got around to getting my setup almost complete... its good for around 400rwkw+ if I push it, but I still got the stock engine. im only gonna tune it to 350rwkw to be safe ( it has the valve springs done). Its a 05 BA Mk2 Sedan. ive got -full xforce exhaust -60lb inj -PW surge tank -PW Full cooler kit with plenum -Malwood opt 3 clucth (6speed) -nizpro valve springs ium thinking about ordering a fully built engine from atomic or something similar but cant justify to spend all that money. what do you rekon I could rebuild in my stock engine to let it be a daily 400rwkw driver.
  8. so you guys rekon to get rid of the redline, and try some tranzmax z or royal purple? im getting my short shifter installed soon so I will probally do that and get the clutch bleed again. rekon some clutch braided lines aswell while im there?

  10. surly theres gotta be some guru in perth some1 knows who wants a bit off moola for a simple amp install?? that's all I need really.. some1 who knows where all the wiring goes and can solder/heatshrink the joins etc so its all done properly... also some1 with sound/audio experience... if not im gonna have to take it to audiocom and get them to do it... they will want like $300 and prob wont even do it properly like they did my last ute... I ended up pulling it all out and doing a bodge job myself which was better :S and im a joke with this stuff... I can tell u that

  12. hey guys, dunno if any1 else experiences it... but in my T56 6 speed, when trying to hard shift to 2nd gear it tends to not let it go in.. if I go slower and smoother it will.. but if im frying the tryers and try to shift to 2nd it just wont physically let me shift... ive only noticed this problem since ive had the malwood clutch in and had it tuned to 288rwkw... any other gear its fine.. its just a lil funny with 2nd gear... and also now and again if I start up my car it wont let me go into reverse unless I move the gear stick from side to side in netural.. then it lets me... any ideas?
  13. hey guys wheres a good place to get my amp and sub installed in perth? who knows any1 who has dealt with the Ford BA-BF's and can do up the setup at a pretty good price? I have all the equipment ready to go in... I tried to make a start myself.. but never been to good with audio on cars...
  14. so do you guys rekon I just go along with the turbo package they are offer but just give them my actuator instead? they said in the opackage they port it and do the flapper etc... wat sort of difference is that gonna make to the cars performance once the "turbo" package is done?
  15. hey guys ive purchased the 12psi actuator. but just wondering how hard it will be to put on? I asked the guy at the shop to do it and he said they only do turbo "packages"... I've got the idea that its simply change over actuator and re-tune etc etc.... could any1 shed some light please? thanks
  16. stock cooler atm... so wats needed to be able to let everything run to its potential... I know that with the same setup on a typhoon I would be at the 400rwkw stage... how much is a phoon bottom end? I can see myself going down that track very shortly... I didnt buy all these good performance parts to run them at half their potential.. see wat I mean guys.. im a sucker to the mod bug :( lol
  17. I also got the malwood opt 3 recently... so far its been a treat!!! drives better than stock and just bites in hard wen u give it stick... no slippages... and dosnt even let slip wen I drop 3rd on the freeway doin 70km/h :)
  18. sorry guys should of said that... its a 05 BA mk2 I dont think it has the upgraded rods etc... (the phoon bottom end)... I have heard of guys and I know a guy that's running 366rwkw (xrboost) on a 04 BA with just valve springs done. I know that I will not have to run real high boost to achive 350rwkw with the cooler setup, plenum etc... for 15psi I should see around 350rwkw ay? I dont really know the finer details of the engine so that's why im seeking advice
  19. hey all, in a little bit of a crisis. I have just brought a Full Process West "stealth" intercooler kit with the F6 R-spec plenum for my xr6 turbo aswell as a PW surge tank. Cost me around $4000 and ive already spent over $7000 on my car already. ive got around 320rwkw atm (xforce exhaust, inj, CAI, pump, springs, malwood opt3) but ive wanted to hit the 360-380rwkw mark since ive got the car. ive got the money to get the parts on and all tuned up but really dont want to spend ANYMORE on it. with all this added to my car could I run a daily 360rwkw car? when I say daily I;m reffering to internals etc, like I dont want to run this power level and then 2 months time have a $4000 engine rebuild cause ive thrown a rod. wat sort of power should I seek to run every day reliable car? (please guys dont say stock) or would my best option be just sell the cooler kit and leave it at where it is (320rwkw) all advice welcome!!! :)

Just wondering if im going to need internals soon? at the moment ive got 288rwkw...(limited due to clutch) im about to take my car in to get re-tuned by XFT and they are going to be fitting a extra things but I should be expecting around 330rwkw's. my current mods are : -Full xforce exhaust 4' dump, 3.5' cat -Siemens 60lb injectors -Walbro GSS340 fuel pump -Growler SS cai -Nizpro valve springs I've just got my Malwood opt 3 clutch in now so there is going to be no slippage problems. My car is a late 05 BA mk2 sedan - 6 speed manual... they didnt come with the upgraded internals yeh? im just about to buy rapids full intercooler setup with plenum... and I hope to achieve around 370rwkw... but just a lil scared about the limits of the internals. I dont really thrash my car but I do like to step on it now and again. any sugestions?
  24. im not sure on his exact fine he will recieve, but my mate was caught by a hand-held doing 130km/h on marmion and got 5 months and $800 fine. he also had his car impounded for 48 hours. I think in court they droped 5km/h off it aswell cause the rader got a few different readings so it was about 45km/h. hope its not tooo bad for you guys :(
