  1. Thanks for all the posts still undecided whether I should stick with what I know Invos and give the Proxes TIR a try.
  2. +1 they may have the latest equipment but many of the shops don't calibrate their equipment. I've been caught out so many times.
  3. I know this is an old thread but I'm up for new tires soon and was interested to hear if any members have thoughts on Toyo Proxes versus Nitto Invo's ?
  4. Been using it in the wifes Corolla for 9yrs now and still runs like a dream.

  6. Would be very interested to hear if any one has a comparison of the Proxies to the Invo's ?
  7. Just add some cement colouring and you can tint it to any colour you wish. Makes great fence paint +1
  8. +1
  9. Now I'm getting worried as I've got 65,000kms on my FG and have been using Nulon 10/40 for the last 30,000 kms. I've been changing mine at 5,000 intervals and just did a change on the weekend and noticed that the colour of the oil is getting darker not quite black. After reading this I'm having second thoughts and maybe switching back to the Ford LPG oil after a oil flush.
  10. This surprises me as reading thru all the oil threads seems like alot of members are using Nulon I would of expected to hear more members with issues???
  11. No that's not what I'm suggesting, after they sort out the CMI mess there will be another supplier go down and another. Every time the line stops the the car manufacturer looses money and eventually their patience will run out. No parts no cars no money. I work with alot of suppliers to the Ford, Holden & Toyota and every one of them is struggling and I know of another six that are on the brink of trading insolvent. I'm implying that it's no longer viable on the volumes their producing not just for the car makers but for the suppliers as well.
  12. Into The WIld bit of an oldie but an amazing film based on a true story
  13. +1 for they Grey
  14. Agree but the car manufacturers (not just Ford all of them) have screwed their suppliers so much that it's no longer sustainable for them to continue with the current drop in volumes. and we will see other suppliers follow suit. I know how difficult and tedious it is for the car manufacturers to change suppliers so in the end jobs at Ford will be at risk. Also remember Ford is currently at the same output level that Mitsubishi was when they closed!
  15. I tow a boat and went with King Springs and air bags in the rear works a treat.
  16. I vouch for this one as they spent a few dollars fixing up the front garden and the rest went straight back to head office in the USA. Not one red cent was spent on the plant as it was intended.
  17. My car only has the V8 airbox and a custom tune (270 at the wheels) and I didn't change my driving style treated them the same as I did the Dunlops.
  18. Aren't these basically the Pilot Sport 3 ?? If so yes they are a great performance tyre but wear wise are crap. I got 30,000 out of my Dunlop's but only managed 12,000 out of the Pilot Sport 3's.
  19. I usually don't have much to say but tailgaters hit a nerve with me. I would guarantee at least twice a week on my way to work in my neighbourhood streets I would encounter a tailgater and it's usually the mums taking their kiddies to school in their 4WD's. I just can't believe the disregard these people have for the 50kph limit in the back streets particularly on my route as it's loaded with bus stops with schoolies. Anyway one a few mornings I encountered this particular Mazda 323 being very aggressive to the point where she gave me the horn once in the 50kph zone right infront of a bus stop with about 15 kids waiting. The following morning she was at it again and this morning I'd had enough. I let her pass as we left my part of the neighbourhood I proceeded to follow her where she entered into another backstreet section but has no pedestrian access. So I decided to give her a bit of her own back and planted right up her arse, I reackon all she could see in here rear view mirror was my angry looking T, I could see she was understanding what was taking place and was panicking so I backed off and let her go. She proceeded to take off and I couldn't believe what I witnessed next, she was tailgating a guy on a motorbike and you could tell he wasn't impressed. So they come to a stop at a red light the guy gets off his bike and has some words with the lady when all of a sudden he puts the boot into her door then proceeds to do the same to every door on the car then got back on his bike and took off with a grin giving her the finger. 21. I had the same problem initially where they weren't able to replicate the problem. You need to take them for a drive and show them, each car is a bit different but for me I was able to replicate the issue by slowly taking off very slowly let the car change into second them come to a slow stop and keep on repeating this. In my case after about 10-15 repetitions the lurch becomes quite severe.
  22. It's the hard plastic in the doors creaking, particularly where to top of the door trim rubs against the door upright. I saw a step by step tutorial where a user used the single sided rubber tape to stop all the rubbing but for the life of me I can't seem to find that post now.
