4th-square-root means "some number" multiplied by itself 4 times is equal to 64... that's not an integer... that's "2√2" or ~2.83... times 2 is 4√2 or ~5.66, not 8. What you actually wanted, is the (∛64)2, which is 4 * 2 = 8.

needs moar 4th-square-root. also, your maths is wrong would be 4th root of 256 all multiplied by 2, to get 8... yours is just "2"

well, I wouldn't say it's a principle... bring it up to them and see if they offer a reparation... if not, then no big deal to you, obviously, since you've gone and solved the problem from your perspective. But that's just me offering my opinion on the matter

Melted fuel pump relay and persistent fuel pump issues

well, the relay "melting" is probably caused by an a short-circuit upstream of the relay which presented in the relay itself... or just the relay itself... I assume you've replaced the fuel pump relay and cleaned up the terminal? that'd be the first step... -
