  1. I think that for those looking at mild mods only (ie. Tune & Air intake & Center muffler) this seems to be the current status (approx): BA - Stock: 200rwkw - Tuned - 250rwkw BF - Stock: 200rwkw - Tuned - 250rwkw FG - Stock: 230rwkw - Tuned - 280rwkw In each Tuned case the injectors are at their limits (ie. FG has better flowing injectors). PS. BA/BF manuals need a clutch upgrade at 250kw, not sure if FG needs clutch upgrade at 280kw ??? Beyond the power levels above, you have to start swapping injectors, springs, intercooler, cat etc. The FG XR6T seems to be 0.8 seconds quicker in stock form 0-100km/h and 0-400m than BA/BF, so mildly modified to 280rwkw, I think that it would be a monster!
  2. I'm up for a cruise - lets say 10pm onwards?
  3. If you buy a 600CCA rather than a 450 CCA, your battery will last you much longer!
  4. Stock exhaust, with center muffler replaced with straight pipes (12 months ago). 252rwkw (Its manual).
  5. You should post some better pics for starters... eg. AU http://us1.webpublications.com.au/static/I...7/54759_7mg.jpg EL http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t25/kan...s2701/029-2.jpg Google images also found "El Fairmont Chateaux on Lake Louise" LOL! http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/comm...e_Louise-75.jpg
  6. I took the car for a good long drive to Mt. Donnabuang, and gave it a bit of stick going up themountain, which was fun. Anyway, I noticed today that the exhaust has developed a "raspy" type of note at certain revs (around 1800 RPM). It's only there for a small rev range. Kind of sounds a bit like crappy Lancers with big exhaust, when they take off. Could this be a cat converter on the way out? Any ideas?
  7. Mate - Dubbo? You are going in completely the wrong direction...! Seeing as you are now half-way to Melbourne, you may as well pop down for a beer, on your way to Port Headland.. Oh, and the bloke at the Expensive Daewoo dealership sounds like a real f#ken C&nt. Plenty of dealerships in Melbourne.
  8. AWESOME !

Awesome effort. What a heart warming thread. I suggest a special forum section to track puppies progress through life!
  10. Then there's also the massive emissions required to actually grow the crop, and produce the Ethanol. Like I said earlier - Ethanol is not eco-friendly!
  11. Hi guys. I think that Ford should bring out a dedicated LPG XR6T to counteract the decline in large car sales due to petrol prices. I think that these would sell really well. What do you think?
  12. I asked about the eco fuel that shell uses, and the bloke at the counter told me it was 94 RON. However their brochure stipulates Minimum 91 RON, and typically 94 RON.... http://www.shell.com/static/au-en/download...ell_e10_tds.pdf Optimax has a MINIMUM rating of 98 RON. Why would anyone buy the ECO stuff. Ethanol is NOT eco-friendly!
  13. Make sure that you replace the battery with a 600 CCA rated one - not the crappy 480 CCA ones. I picked up a SuperCharge Gold MF50 (600CCA) for $159 at Supercheap on the weekend
  14. cool
  15. Has anyone lined these two bad boys up yet? (Private road)
  16. It was that American w@nker Bill Osborne that decided to drop the superb I6 engine. No wonder he got sacked 6 months into the job. Tom Gorman also seemed to sit on his laurels... Excellent decision by the new Aussie president Marin Burela. I hope he will follow the legacy of Geoff Polites (RIP), and re-envigorate Ford Oz (Particlarly Falcon, Territory & Focus).
  17. Spider
  18. I too would be interested in "easy upgrade" to standard BA sound system. I would guess it would consist of: splits, subby, & amp ?
  19. Thanks to Sony-Ericsson Track-ID on my phone
  20. Money (Original Mix) Major Bryce Tuning Beats 2006-03
  21. So who is willing to have a stab at what the All Ords will bottom out at. I think we must be close... I say: 4200
  22. Expensive Daewoo bring out the VE which is a pile of crap, and now complain that they can't win any races.... LOL http://www.news.com.au/heraldsun/story/0,2...0-39478,00.html
  23. Here is one I prepared earlier: http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/index.ph...&hl=stripes Jake.
  24. I had Lucas pads on my AU XR6. I was very happy with them. Previous to them I had bendix Ultimate on the car. What I found was that: - The Lucas pads were not as abrasive on the rotor. - They did not make anywhere near as much dust. - They had slightly less bite than the Bendix Ultimate.
  25. The Q6600 is a really good CPU. Guys, don't forget that the CPU's at the top of the "high-end" list are carrier grade server processors which cost 10 times as much as mainstream processors.
