I am an owner of an XCAL1. when I purchased the item 3 years ago The manufacturer specified that it had a certain number of "lives", where it could be transferred to subsequent vehicles, as long as the previous vehicle was flashed back to stock. The fact that the manufacturer has decided to discontinue this product contrary to the terms in the original purchase is very disturbing. I would not buy any XCAL item again on this basis. In fact, I presume that XCAL1 owners should be entitled to some sort of refund, as the terms and conditions of the purchase have been breached by the manufacturer.
